Walgreens

This location has a pretty good selection of products but my review is based more on the customer service of the employees. The older lady that works in the photo center is quite rude and speaks about customers right in front of them. After I mentioned what I overheard to another employee (who witnessed and apologized on their behalf) she pretty much laughed it off and went on her way as if she didn’t care. There was another employee, younger woman with braids, who was laughing and staring as well as to make a point. I didn’t get their names because I really just wanted to get out of there and avoid confrontation but I hope that the older woman wasn’t the manager! I won’t be going back to this location.

Really friendly and funny staff. I had to buy a voltage converter for my European laptop, and the guy helping me out was asking several questions regarding my laptop adaptor — which ended up saving me several dollars, as I only needed to change socket type. Then he tried to save me a few more dollars by turning the whole shelf up side down for cheaper options.
I had a blast with the cashier at a later point, joking about whether or not I should be greeted with a welcome without a reward card. I ended up with a warm welcome and a few coupons for my next visit.
Other than that great experience, I must say that they kept the store tidy and clean, with staff members lurking around every single isle ready to answer customer questions with a smile.
Shopping was painless, and the store was well organized and pretty compact in size, which makes for a swift and efficient shopping experience.
On the down side, they were sold out of sun screen, and I was too lazy to go to CVS to get some. Needless to say, I turned lobster.

I went to this Walgreen’s store yesterday to the photo center. I went up to the counter and a male employee was talking to a female employee while I was waiting to speak to him. He completely ignored me and continued on with his conversation with his co-​worker. It was so obvious that the female employee had to tell him that a customer was standing in front of him and was waiting. I don’t know what kind of people that they hire at this store but they are lacking in customer service skills very badly. The rest of the store looks clean and nice. It is also open 24 hours a day which is nice.

DO NOT HAVE PICTURES PROCESS HERE AT THIS LOCATION — the machines seems to be down more than it is up. I placed an order on ³⁄₃₀. Here it is ⁴⁄₂ and my pictures are still not ready. When I went online, kept say «processing». I finally called today — machine is down. Never received a call, email or any onther notification. Here I want the pictures to put in my Easter cards. Never will I order from this location again. Need to think twice about placing an order at this locaton.

The website clearly states that this pharmacy is ²⁴⁄₇ but it is closed. I drove here from brookland to get a prescription filled and that’s the last time I’ll go to a Walgreens.

Okay, the service isn’t great in the general store, but really we’ve all been to these kinds of stores, you’re not going there for the service. We all know how to look up at the signs and figure out which general section a specific item is in. I realize I sound really mean and crabby, but honestly, this is a drug store. The only place you do need specific help/​contact is in the pharmacy. They often have general staff working which slows everything down. I have family members who are PharmDs and while I realize you don’t always need those people working every part of a pharmacy, this place rides the line a little too comfortably. There are just too many basic pharmaceutical tasks that just end up being slowed leaving a high mistrust in the patients.

I’ve never had such bad customer service in my life. Ever.
Not only was the service TERRIBLE, they RUINED MY TWO ROLLS OF FILM.
Horrified, I asked for the manager and she offered me a 10 dollar gift card to Walgreens in hopes she could cover up the fact that she ruined 48 of my photos from this summer that meant a lot to me.
No. There is nothing they can do to fix this and exposing film should NEVER happen in a place that develops.
Not only did this whole process take about 30 minutes, I ended up being late to a dinner and just completely upset.
All of last year I processed film at the Tenley Town CVS and Never had a single problem. I thought I would try something closer to me. Nope.

Absolutely unacceptable customer service! I try for three days to have a product ordered for me and even after waiting for the so-​called delivery… Still nothing.
Over this time I had called the store three times. Spoken to three different employees who all endured my order. But… Still nothing.

This is a good Walgreens that’s large and clean, but why does the service have to suck at all these places? It’s not that hard to ring someone up, is it… dayum???

Loved the fact that this place existed and was open 24 hours during our DC weekend. We were able to get the crap/​snacks/​drinks needed without having to get hosed by either the hotel or by the local Whole Foods.
The store is brightly lit and they do stock a lot of stuff into this place.
Minus one star for the ice cream section looking like the vikings from the Capitol One commercials had just ransacked it right before I got there.

We drive a significant distance to use Walgreens. We live close to a CVS, but the service won’t compare. It’s worth the drive.
The Pharmacy staff is always helpful and nicer.

By far the best pharmacy and drug store around.
This is the only pharmacy I have used over the past 10 years in DC where the employees are nice!

It’s a drugstore. I just grabbed a pack of gum since I ate onions. It’s a clean store and I wasn’t in line for long. It’s a safe place for gum. They have a good selection of gum. Probably the best selection of gum on the Block — I cannot know for sure.
If you want gum, and you’re nearby, then come here. If you’re far away, don’t bother. There are other places to get gum. Trust me on this. ROTFL!!!
