Accessorize

I like Accessorize because they have a nice selection of inexpensive, cute things. However, the store is very small, and my last experience here was uncomfortable. I felt like we were being profiled as sales associates somehow managed to follow us around the entire length of the tiny store, we weren’t even the only ones there. I felt so uncomfortable and worried that I was inadvertently engaging in suspicious behavior, that I left quickly after buying one item (that I love), even though I really did want to look around for a little longer. I like the things that the store carries, but I don’t know if I will go back.

Everything in this store is so cute and pretty. They have everything from jewelry (I could not RESIST buying a necklace, and I almost never spend my money) to belts to hats to bags to shoes and even some lingerie. Everything is beautiful and they often have a little section of sale items.
Keep in mind that Monsoon is a UK-​based store so all the sizes are British sizes.
Definitely visit this store if you are going to be at Union Station.
UPDATE: The necklace I purchased there 3 years ago still gets loads of compliments. It’s one of my favorite pieces that I own.

Accessorize is within my top 3 favorite stores in the entire world (Zara and Mango being the other two– well, their non-​US locations, that is). When I first discovered this Accessorize location shortly after moving to DC, I was ecstatic!
It carries most of the items all the Accessorize stores have, but their inventory is small so they run out of popular items very fast. The store is also extremely small so it makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience. The staff is also a hit or miss. I’ve gotten help from very knowledgeable and friendly staff, but I’ve also gotten a very confused staff member who had no idea what he was doing there.
In short, I wish Accessorize would open another location in downtown DC so I don’t have to go all the way to Union Station or Pentagon City mall for my Accessorize fix.

Every now and again, I look at my existing costume jewelry and I think, I need to switch it up.
If you have this thought too, go to Accessorize! This UK based store has all kinds of cool, colorful and unique jewelry. I found several necklaces to spice up my wardrobe. They also have missing pair earring that you can mix and match earrings.
I also they also have über feminine accessories such notebooks, wallets, notepads.
Also though this place is very cutesy, there are so things that can be worn with an work outfit without looking like a teenager.
I’m definitely a fan. And, there are tons of sales for the month of January.
