Food was great. They were sensitive to my gluten allergy which was great as i hadnt called ahead and we were with a large group. I had the chicken and they were able to customize it to be gf. The private function bar area is phenominal. They had a happy hour going on upstairs that looked fun too. I would absolutely come back! Large beer and wine selection. Not too pricey.

AMAZING Brunch! Super sexy and relaxed vibe, excellent service and absolutely delicious food. I’m here for 5 days and definitely plan on coming back for 1 of them! I got the pulled pork and cornbread waffle with eggs and my boyfriend did the buttermilk chicken and waffles. We had great drinks too.

Came here on a double date last Friday & had a great time! Pros — — Nice atmosphere — great for date night. A little loud but it kept us lively. — Great service — Good wine & the server was very knowledgeable about the selections — Convenient location on 14th Street Cons — — A little pricey so I’d keep it as nice date night out or celebration spot Food reviews — — Started w/curry mussels(it’s an entrée but we split it as a group) & it was huge! Good seasoning, ample mussels & crispy bread for dipping afterwards. — I had the sea bass and loved it! Came with some veggies on the side to make it a light, healthy meal option. My date tried a bite & didn’t care for it, though. — My date had the short ribs and enjoyed every bite. A bit fatty for me but he didn’t mind. — Original waffle with strawberries & vanilla ice cream for dessert. I’ll sound very American when I say this but it was a bit bland for me. I’ll stick with my breakfast waffles w/syrup in the future. I’d be interested to check out their happy hour specials next time!

B Too is my favorite restaurant on 14th street. This place could EASILY charge more money for their food — particularly the mussels which are phenomenal. The service is always great and you just can’t beat the selection of Belgian beers they carry. I’ve been here for brunch, lunch and dinner and I have never been disappointed. Beligian waffles? Furrrrr sure. Although one time they ran out of Delirium Tremens and I got sad. But I forgave them.

I came here on Sunday for branch, thinking about Belgium waffles as I missed the chance at my last visit to Brussels. As I walked to this restaurant from my hotel, my mind was filled with warm and fluffy Belgium waffles. When I arrived, they had a few available at the bar counter. A bartender recommended Bloody Mary but I chose to go with Mimosa.(after I had two of those, I saw him make Bloody Mary, and wished I should have listened to him… Mimosa was good but his bloody mary looked really good with celery)… While I was looking at the menu, first thing came to my eyes was Liege Waffles. Liege waffels I tasted in Liege was so good, and also the Liege balls too… I had to go with Liege waffles.(They do not serve Liege balls, I asked…) It tasted like what I remembered from the one in Liege… I miss my fun(including my work) visit to Belgium. Friendly bartender, staff, good Belgium food… They seemed to have nice selection of beers, I would come back again for either branch or dinner next time I am in town.

Finally made it here on a Tuesday for dinner. It’s Mussels Tuesday with all entrée size mussels for $ 16.95. Ordered the Brussels Mussels with ½ small lobster tail in lobster bisque. Everything was excellent including the bisque at the end. Also tried the snail croquettes which had sautéed spinach with great dipping sauce. Happy Hour offers $ 2 off bites and discount drinks including $ 5 Cava and other selected wines. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal!

Nice cute restaurant. The food was good. Desserts were great. The main issue for us not having valet and extremely difficult to find a parking.

We were seated in the lower level space, and we were treated like royalty. Of course we had the waffles, we also had the hot chocolate, Belgium fries with real mayonnaise, the Leige waffle and eggs. This is our second time around and it was even better than before.

The menu and photos looked better than I found this place to be. The waffle I got was fine, but tasted like it had been sitting and was nothing special. I have had better. Would probably skip this place. I only went once though, so I could have been there on an off day.

Love the food and the staff. Love the food and the staff… Its contemporary clean and modern. When you enter it has a openness feeling to it. Ordered the lamb burger. It was too dry and the meat was over ground up it almost made it seen it had filler in it. I ordered a side salad with it with two poached eggs that was good. The frites are wonderful. Our server Shaquille was nice. The best part is the dessert the chocolate Eden the presentation is not as pretty as it used to be and the portion is a lot smaller. Certainly will be back.

Very odd treatment last night, did not honor an advertised special, which remains posted. Did not even send the manager over to speak with me when I raised the issue, just essentially ignored me. Clearly poorly run, take a pass on this place. I wont be back, there are other, better options for mussels on 14th street.

Before actually eating anything, I had high expectations for B Too. The restaurant’s décor conveys fanciness, and the line to get in suggested good food. Unfortunately, I was not impressed by the food or the service. I ordered the branzino, but unfortunately, it was over-salted. The creamy sauce the fish was sitting in wasn’t very flavorful and barely added any flavor to the over-salted fish. However, the dish was very well presented and was very fairly priced at $ 23. My date decided to go for the NY Strip Steak, but he was overcharged for his food. The NY Strip Steak has an option to add two eggs for $ 3, but the waiter charged him $ 5 instead. This confusion was probably caused by the sides option, which allows you to add two eggs to other dishes for $ 5. This mistake shows poor service, and even if it wasn’t a mistake, $ 5 for two eggs is pretty ludicrous.

Came here for a pre bachelorette dinner. I have to be honest, I was a little underwhelmed by teh food, not that it didn’t taste great, but rather I was expecting something different. O ordered the Short Ribs Casserole, which where described as «cooked for several hours on the stove… Just like grandma used to make them». what I got was more like Braised pot roast, and it was in not way a casserole. Still though the staff was incredibly friendly and the décor was nice and had a romantic feel. I think I just ordered the wrong thing and am 100% willing to go back here and try something else!

3 of us came here for some pre-dinner drinks on Monday night. We each had ‘The Bubbles’ which was Absolut Mandarin Vodka, St. Germain, Lemon, and Sparkling Wine. Kind of wish we stayed here for dinner! The menu looks fabulous. I’ll make a point of coming here the next time I’m in the DC area.

As a Belgian, this place is pretty close to home. Yes the prices are pretty expensive but after talking to Bart and Greet, I realize everything is coming from Europe. Some of the items they serve, and which i miss, you can’t find any where else i. The USA. That is what i call dedication! When you walk in, you immediatly get the feel that you walk into a Belgian brasserie. Great bar seating and a dining area as far as the eye can see. Obvioisly, the beer selection is great and mostly consisting out of Belgian beers. As mentioned above, some of them are hard to find in the US so pretty impressive they have them here. Bit unfortunate for the price but definitely worth it. Of course for dinner, i went for the classics: cheese croquettes(i felt like i was on the Vogeltjesmarkt at De Vuurtoren), riz de veaux(never saw this on a menu before in the US, great tast and ingredients but i liked them a little more crunchy. And of course the Belgian fries accompagnied with mayonnaise based sauces. I was kinda anxious about it but chef Dieter nailed the taste. Very good experience and they will definitely see me each time i’m in DC

I ate here for DC Restaurant week. It was delicious. Sat at the bar. Ali the bartender gave us the best service. I felt like I was at a five star hotel. I ordered the tomato soup, mussels with the half tail lobster, and the dame Blanche(ice cream Sunday). Everything was spot on. When food and service are excellent, it makes you feel special. I can’t wait to try the happy hour menu sometime.

I’ve been wanting to get to B Too for the longest time and finally decided to come with a friend for lunch during restaurant week. It also happened to be the Monday after the snow storm but trudging through a little snow was well worth it for the meal I had. I remembered hearing about their lobster waffle drizzled in a bisque and figured that was without question what I would order. Turns out that was actually just an appetizer(still wrapping my head around this) so for my main course I had the moules marinière. Topped off with a flight of rosé and the chocolate flourless cake and I was a happy camper. Definitely will be back.

Beautiful Restaurant! However food taste could use work. I came here with a couple of friends to celebrate the New Year with what else… a Brunch! The décor was still in the festive mood and boy it felt like Santa went to town in decorating. SPOILER: When we were seated, we were brought downstairs. I didn’t know B Too had a downstairs but it was really neat. On the stairway down, there’s an array of wine bottles on display. Pretty dope. Tip: If you want the Chicken and Waffles, arrive super early for brunch(I guess that would be called breakfast?) because they run out fast. 3 of us wanted the chicken and waffles but the waiter told us that they were out Once seated, we decided to order our drinks, most of us got coffee but some of us were still trying to keep the party running by ordering champagne and bloody marys. When the waiter brought out the drinks, he spilled the glasses on two of us. The whole basement got quiet and the first thing that was muttered was«F*ck». I thought that was pretty funny. The waiter was super nice about it and cleaned it up relatively quick. I was one of the people who wanted the Chicken and Waffles and was distraught to find out that they ran out of it. I feel like there should be a discretion label stating that an item has a tendency to run out, but I digress. So instead I ordered the Cornbread and Pulled Pork Waffle. It took almost an hour to get our food and when it arrived, a few of our waffles were cold… That’s when we asked for the manager and he was very kind and understanding of the entire situation. He took care of us in that he gave us a few shots, dessert on the house, and 30% off our meal. GREATMANAGEMENT! kudos. Anyways, going back to the food. The presentation was absolutely beautiful, however taste was underwhelming. As I mentioned before, the waffle was cold and hard. The sunny side up eggs still had the egg whites raw which was off putting. Definitely not worth the price tag(~$ 17). The desserts were a redeeming quality. The manager brought down two dessert waffles and a Frosty the Snowman dish. Then he lit a match and set Frosty on Fire! That was pretty cool. Turns out that Frosty was made of ice cream lol. Judgement on the dessert waffles: B+ Judgement on the Frosty dish: A(kudos for setting him on fire). Overall, this was a pretty exhausting brunch experience as we had champagne spilt, cold/undercooked food, and long wait times. Our waiter was great, however we had to keep reminding him to refill our water glasses. Food presentation and the restaurant ambiance was superb, however if you’re looking for taste, go elsewhere.

(2.5 stars) Eh, not crazy about brunch here. Overpriced average food… I mean, $ 17 for a mediocre cheeseburger and fries? I will say the fries were good though, it just also came with barely of them. Thankfully though the bbq sauce salvaged the burger. The belgian waffles though were really sweet and delicious. Although beware, if you order the chicken and waffles, the waffle that comes with it is not made fresh like the belgian waffle is. They are pre-made and simply heated up to be served. Super disappointing to find that out. Given the number of quality restaurants along 14th street(including the ones next door), I don’t really see the need to eat here.
