Barry Farm Recreation Center

Being a police officer I love that they have done something positive for this community
They have really improved this area and I am very happy about it they have added a swimming pool and nice jam for key and a nice rec center and a great area for kids to come do their homework
It is brand-​new and I am very happy to see how awesome it is if you live in the area you should come check it out they are really trying to improve barry farms
I am not good with reviews but I hope this is enough information and you check the place out for yourself you won’t be disappointed

The picture provided is from 2013. That’s what BF Rec used to be. Now it’s a state of the art facility with an aquatic center along side it. The center was built and reopened in 2014. Having worked there as a youth camp counselor and seeing it now, is unbelievable. There’s a computer lab, modernized gym, meeting rooms, a work out room and more. The front staff is friendly for the most part.
Barry Farm Recreation Center is located right in the Barry Farms project of Anacostia, SE DC. Nothing else is modernized or revamped in the area besides the rec center and the school at the end of the block. It is one street over from Anacostia Metro. It’s also located right off of the Suitland Parkway and MLK Ave. Some who are unfamiliar with the area may be uncomfortable getting here. Im excited about all the classes they have to offer. My son loves aquatic camp here!
