Really great food and coffee but I’m taking off two stars because on many occasions I have tried visiting during their posted business hours and they’ve been closed. I don’t understand why this is so often the case, especially when I was trying to visit between 11am-4pm in all of those cases.

Good service and a beautiful, hidden space. Several breakfast items and delicious coffee. Great hidden gem of a place in Georgetown where three people can get a good breakfast for $ 20 or so.

We stopped in for some water recently on a very hot day. Service was efficient and friendly and there are enough tables(though I can imagine it’d be an issue finding seating on a particularly crowded day). No complaints and it’s a great place to stop for water in Georgetown! My fiancé and I would know, since we got 4 bottles of water between the two of us.

The food and drinks are quality and the patio is nice. I also thought the staff was nice enough. However, there is no wifi, which is a deal breaker for me and I won’t be coming back as a result. Seriously? No wifi in 2015?

Georgetown’s best kept secret. Great sandwiches and a lovely courtyard out back to eat. Recommend trying the Cuban.

This is a really cosy place in Georgetown. Great menu, simple yet just what you need. Heard their organic coffee is amazing as well! — They also have a secret garden at the back, which is very cute and again, so cosy! The owner and staff is also very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

This restaurant has a beautiful décor with this quiet shaded back alleyway seating area with flowers and ivy all around. Anddddd the food is on point! I paid 17 $ for and egg sandwich and coffee, but besides that I’d probably visit again.

This is one of my favorite places in Georgetown. I usually order the Istanbul, which is my favorite. The Emerging Market is delicious. The woman who runs the place is incredibly pleasant and the atmosphere is very cozy and relaxing. In addition to the downstairs seating, there is a room upstairs with some very comfortable armchairs.

I’ve been to this place many times as it is on my walk to school. I haven’t tried a lot on their menu, but what I’ve had, I’ve liked. For drinks, I usually get the caramel latte with soy milk. It is very good, maybe a tad too sweet, but what do you expect from a caramel latte? I think it is better than Starbucks. For food, I’ve tried their Cuban sandwich which is very good! I also tried one of their sandwiches with turkey with cranberry sauce – I liked it – but I should have requested different bread. It was served with a raisin walnut bread, and I wasn’t too pleased with those melding of flavors. Lesson learned though – I just need to request different bread!

My cappucino was OK… I’ve had better in Georgetown, even from Starbucks. My english muffin was from Costco, as was my pre-cooked egg and cheese. Pretty disappointed with the price I paid for something I could have made at home. I’m going to try patisserie poupon next, or stick with Baked and Wired if I want something of worth on the go in Georgetown.

Needed a quick coffee & breakfast and came across this lil dime! Small inside but they have outdoor seating in the back which was nice after walking through a narrow alley. The iced latte i got was really good and i got a bacon egg and cheese on a english muffin. Nothing to get excited about but good. I think the egg was microwaved but i could be wrong. I would return again.

At first, I mistakenly went into the thin narrow ally that could barely support the broadness of my shoulders, made my way to the back to the wider patio opening, and realized that there was in-fact an inside of «The Bean Counter», I was just on their back lanai. So, I went back through the choked antique passage to find the actual door to the slender coffee shop that supported a handful of chic glass tables. Got my coffee and quickly realized that the somewhat savory and the delightful drink was familiar. The Iced Coffee I got was strongly reminiscent of the chocolatey rich bean that I often drink at the deli within stones throw of my home. I went back through the width-deficient trail and hung out with a friend on a table by the fence. The only downside to my experience was the pervasive presence of mosquitos. Maybe cleaning up some of the wet leaves or putting some citronella out could help, ’cause my legs bore feast to creatures from the underworld. I’ll definitely be back though. I just need to make sure to wear my corset next time… and maybe some long pants.

Quick and simple food, but a little bit overpriced. Loving their music.

And thats why there was no one inside… Went in on a Sunday morning around 10, no one inside except the workers. As is my usual thing, I asked what sort of coffee they were using for their espresso. The usual response from a coffee house would be something like, «We use Stumptown’s Hair Bender espresso,» or «This is our personal blend that our owner roasts himself.» Instead, I got a rude, belligerent response from the lady behind the counter, something like this is our coffee, do you want to order anything, are you going to order anything? No, with an attitude like that I’m not going to order anything. I’m going to walk down the block to the next coffee house, which happened to be full of people, and was a great place.

This is the best lunch place in Georgetown. I’m there every other day. Nicest people and great food.

I tried this café for the first time yesterday. It was nice and quiet and just tucked away among a number of row house-looking shops. The women behind the counter were incredibly friendly and offered some suggestions since I wasn’t sure what I wanted for a early-afternoon nosh. I ordered an iced tea and their huevos rancheros. Although it was piping hot & delish, it was anything but a huevos rancheros as I’ve come to know them; it was a scrambled egg with salsa mixed into it, topped with cheddar cheese and sitting between an english muffin. I would give it at least one more try since they had a number of lunch sandwiches that all looked tasty.

Cute place. Friendly staff and a nice selection of sandwiches. I had the Cuban which was tasty and my wife enjoyed her tomato and Brie. The lemonade was a good mix of sweet and tart. The back patio was cool and quiet for such a hot Saturday. Just a tad pricey for $ 7.50−8.50 sandwiches with no sides, but I was still satisfied.

Lovely outdoor patio with an extremely kind lady running the place. I had a simple bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on whole grain bread. It was small, but just enough to satisfy! I really enjoyed the coffee as well.
