I wish I could give more stars, but I found the bibimbap to be quite sweet — because spicy chicken was much more sweet than spicy. And gochujang was also sweeter tasting than I’ve had. That said, the veggies and protein(I got a mix of tofu and said chicken) were fresh and plentiful. For the future, I would try just tofu and then carefully add the marinated veggies(also rather sweet) to control the sweetness factor. Very friendly people and fast service for a food truck.

Pretty solid bibimbap. If you’re super lazy and can’t walk a block over to the Rice Bar, this truck, when posted up on L Street, has a more limited menu, and a little more pricey, but on point. Really nice guy and you can ask for a little kimchi! Oh yeah, all the mixtures are in a separate container so you can add as little or as much carrot, bean sprouts, pickled cucumber, and greens as you like. Nice. Make sure to eat it in an open area at work so everyone gets a whiff of your dish. dmo out

Great packaging with decent taste when it came to the tofu bimbimbap. Everything was neatly and colorfully arranged in two clear bowls. One for the rice/tofu/egg and the other for the toppings. I regretfully forgot to take a picture of this colourful presentation before throwing everything into a messy collage. I had also ordered a coke. I was in a hurry and didn’t notice that the«coke» turned out to be a similar looking store brand cola when I set everything down to eat. Bad form. Bad form.

Everything that Momo M. and Sara P. said, except the kimchi was too salty and not very good.

Uh, this truck is amazing. I never go to the Korean bibimbap trucks because they all kind of suck(I’m Korean) but this food truck is a game changer. There’s a TON of food, all the vegetables are properly marinated and seasoned. I got the spicy pork and it was scrum-diddly-umptious. I didn’t even add the gochujang sauce because all the meat and veggies were seasoned so perfectly. Also, the Korean couple that run this are so sweet and will give you the biggest smiles. He asked if I wanted kimchi when I was picking up my food, so I don’t think they automatically give it to everyone. So make sure you get kimchi. This is also a pretty healthy option because there are so many veggies. I am a huge fan and I will definitely be back.

BiBi Ja is the unsung hero of Korean food trucks in the area. They might not have a big presence online, but their food is much, much better… especially if you’re ordering bibimbap. For starters, you get a MASSIVEHUGEPORTIONOFFOOD for the same price. Not to mention the vegetables(bean sprouts, carrots, cucumbers, radish, lettuce, etc.) is enough to feed two people. The amount of vegetable is insane, SOINSANE that you get TWO containers(one for your rice, meat and egg and the other for vegetables and hot sauce). Korengy has so much juice in their bulgogi that it makes a soup out of the rice in their container. Ick. Fire & Rice gives you a small portion and almost no rice. Egg isn’t runny here though, folks. So if you’re seeking yolky goodness you won’t find it here. But I honestly don’t mind because I would rather take the love and care put into the food, and the extra vegetables. The owner is super sweet and gives you free stuff like a milk drink thing or free kimchi… he’s like a really cheerful Korean dad. THISISTHEBESTKOREANFOODTRUCKINDC. 1. BiBi Ja 2. Fire & Rice 3. I got the beef bulgogi. Pros: Decent amount of beef and rice Cons: Broccoli was cold Dumpling was soggy and bland He forgot my side order of kimchi(probably a blessing for my coworkers) The beef was also relatively bland; it was very onion-y and didn’t seem to have much of the bulgogi marinade, maybe because he uses the same beef for the bibimbap The Takeaway: There are certainly much better options for Korean food at lunchtime.

Cheap eats and great tasting bibimbap. The pinnacle of Korean food truck experiences(for bibimbap). Ingredients are fresh, hot, and portions are huge(total was only ~$ 10)! Love the cute stackable containers that make for easy and clean mixing and storage. I chose half bulgogi half spicy chicken and I highly recommend the latter if you want actual flavor. Nothing is overly spicy but the flavors are great. Egg is fully fried and not anything amazing. Credit cards accepted. I was thrilled to get a delicious free yogurt dessert drink too!
