Rude rude staff. Last three times Ive been there the guys behind the counter act like they don’t wanna be there and didn’t even speak to me. The owner was behind the office counter near the exit and I mentioned how rude the staff was on my way out and he didn’t even say anything. Not sure how this place is still in business

I’ve had it with this place. Service is key to keeping customers, but this place has nothing but surly, condescending employees with no customer service skills whatsoever. They showed me no pleasantries and didn’t even thank me for my purchase when I visited this store on 11÷08÷15. I hope they go out of business. Next time I’ll just go next door to Capital Video Sales where they always thank me after making a purchase.

I remember this shop –way– back when it used to be called«The Leather Rack». My husband and I used to travel to DC quite a bit in the 80’s and 90’s, so we were pleased when we were back in town recently to see that our old favorite Leather Shop was still there … even if it was under a different name. And it really felt like nothing much had changed(I mean that in a good way). It’s still kind of dark, the music is still from the trancy, electronic genre, and there were still a multitude of enormous scary items on display that I have trouble believing anyone actually puts to use. I’m not sure what that previous reviewer’s complaint was about. «NOMOREGAY» … Really? There’s plenty of «Gay» there. They just happen to have a selection of items geared towards women that can actually be used by men who are so inclined. It’s no big deal. We found a couple of items there to spice up our weekend. The quality of the items seemed good and the prices were reasonable. I’m sure we’ll drop by again the next time we find ourselves in DC.

I have frequented the store when it has been known by each of its 3 names and each time the staff was helpful and experienced in solving any questions I might have about products. I was actually there this past week and purchased some items. My only disappointment was the limited«color» selection for a particular product and another one of the purchase I made I’m too thick to fit in.

NOMOREGAY! Leather Rack, a gay adult store, was on the location for over 30 years, then it suddenly changed name and became a straight adult store called«Adam & Eve» about 2 years ago, then it changed name again into current name«Bite the Fruit» 1 year ago — still a straight adult store, with much fewer selections & much higher prices. Pretty fishy they change business name so frequently, and too bad they abandoned gay customers and the gay community in which the store is located and supported for over 30 years.
