Maybe I catch them on they’re better days. Have never had a problem with this barber shop. I typically go during down periods so maybe that has something to do with it. They’ve never jacked me up. Prices seem to be a bit higher than other AAFES locations but eh…

Holy smokes, don’t let the guy touch your head. Stick with one of the female barbers. But, even they aren’t very good. Better off heading for Belvoir or Myer.

Ok, seriously. I’ve been around these environments for a long time and can tell when you’re going to have some bad barbers. Usually, if you’re in a shop that has Korean barbers, you’re in good shape. I’m not exactly sure what it is that makes Koreans(myself included) so good at shining boots, sewing, laundry, cutting hair, and cooking spicy food but it works. But if you get a shop that doesn’t have ‘em, watch out. This place has a mix of barbers who all have one thing in common — they know how to shave your head and that’s about it. This place should have had«butcher shop» written on it since that’s about all it was good for — screwing up my hair. I did it on a whim one day while drilling there and thinking, hey, a $ 8 haircut isn’t bad. Think again. They proved me wrong and drove me right back over to Hair Cuttery. If you’re in the military and are looking for ways to scrimp and save, well, using the base barber isn’t a bad idea. Especially when everyone shares the same crappy hair style. But if you still have to put on a suit when the weekend is over and need to look well groomed, well, steer clear. Unless you think wearing short sleeves with a Looney Tunes tie is acceptable. Then go right on ahead there Mr. Lifetime Public Servant.
