Bradlee Florist

Two experiences with Bradlee the first was walk-​in, which was prompt and polite, I get the feeling this is based on who is working that day. Second experience was an online order, the order arrived on time, but I was told that almost half the flowers were dying, so the next day she had to pick through the bouquet to toss the bad flowers. I would use Bradlee again only if I were there in-​person.

There’s no good reason to order from these people. My experience with Bradlee Florist was defined by (1) abysmal customer service, and (2) basic inability to perform the essential tasks of a delivery florist service, or just any business in which customers exchange currency for goods and services.
My partner and I ordered a bouquet for a friend. We filled out the text online for the accompanying card, paid for the bouquet, and received the confirmation email. The email included the complete card text as we had written it.
The day Bradlee Florist was to deliver the bouquet, we received an email saying we had only written the greeting line of the card, and asking whether we would like to provide more text for the card. Though we had already provided the full text for the card, we responded and provided the full text a second time.
Because their system was able to deliver the card text we had written to our email, but not to the florist itself, our bouquet was delayed by one day. Apparently that’s how long it takes Bradlee Florist to print a card.
Bradlee Florist delivered the bouquet a day late. Shortly after she received it, our friend contacted us to say she had received a bouquet, and wanted to know whether we had sent it. There was no card included with the bouquet, so she had no way of knowing. (She guessed because she knew we were sending something, but didn’t know what.)
Even though we had twice provided text for a card to Bradlee Florist, they still failed to deliver the card with the bouquet. Even though Bradlee Florist had delayed the original delivery by a day in order to print the card, they still delivered the bouquet without a card.
Since we paid $ 15 for a delivery fee, I called to speak with Bradlee Florist about the missing card. Bradlee Florist refused to take responsibility for their failure. The person I spoke with on the phone insinuated it was not Bradlee’s driver’s fault, but somehow our friend’s.
She was otherwise rude, argumentative, and when I asked her if she was going to help me resolve the issue, she flatly replied, «No.»
We chose Bradlee Florist because they provide many of the same arrangements as their competitors at more affordable prices. Bradlee’s prices are ultimately a non-​factor, however, because they completely drop the ball on the service end. Maybe I would recommend Bradlee if you were just walking into their shop and buying a bouquet in-​person, but they are a poor delivery and customer service outfit.
In fact, in my experience, they have no competency or even interest in service whatsoever.
