I go to Exquisite on the Hill to get my hair done by Marcus. He is a wizard with a flatiron, and he keeps himself up to date on the latest in «weaveology» LOL. I get the versatile sew-in done every three months(he did the sew in in my profile pic) and he sews you in so tight that after three months, not one track was loose in my head(but pop an Advil later, he braids TIGHT.) He does NOT do chemical relaxers, and yes, if you have a perm, he may strongly suggest you go natural, but it’s because he cares about the health of your hair. Just try not to take it personally. The best part is the pricing, you’d be hard pressed to find a better $ 200 sew in in the DC area.

I went to Exquisite on the Hill and got a manicure by Stephanie. It was one of the best manicures I recieved. The atomosphere was pleasant and personable compared to the other intimidating, stuffy, over priced places on Capitol Hill. The price was great and the quality was the best. It’s a definite go!!!

If you’re looking for a good place to get waxed, Exquisite on the Hill is NOT that place. Their website claims an American bikini is $ 30, but when I went in for one, they charged me $ 45. Their aesthetician took 45 minutes to do a job that should have taken no longer than 20, and she didn’t wax low enough on the top or far in enough on the sides. In other words, she took an extremely long time to do a poor job, and then I got charged 50% more than advertised and way more than I’d ever pay for a simple bikini wax anyway.
