Food Chain

I visited the food chain hot dog cart on N Capitol in front of the C-​Span building and ordered the brisket sandwich.
After running a lunch time errand at Wachovia that took way too long, I resigned myself to a two hot dog lunch at the nearby cart. When I approached I saw the small food chain menu attached to the cart promising a beef brisket sandwich for $ 4.50.
I ordered the sandwich with optional cole slaw and Texas barbecue (description said spicy and cola based) sauce. The meet was tender and flavorful, not too spicy, but nothing mind blowing. But very good considering the price and the fact it was served out of such a small space. I’m giving them four stars because I think there’s room for improvement.
After checking out Food Chain’s website, I learned that they sell their food through a network of existing hot dog carts scattered through out downtown. I think this is a great concept and hopefully mutually beneficial to Food Chain and the hot dog vendor.
Food Chain will now be a part of my regular lunch rotation.
