Piotr is an excellent instructor — incredibly thoughful kind and patient and fun! Im a newbie and would recommend him to anyone at my stage, though he obviously has talent way beyond what I can achieve.

Piotr is a fantastic and inspiring teacher. As a «mature» student in my early 50s attempting to renew my classical guitar chops from my college days, Piotr has helped and challenged me to go beyond my youthful playing days. I am now playing pieces that I only dreamed of playing when I was much younger. He has guided me to finding achievable and challenging pieces over a wide variety of repertoire. In addition, Piotr has been crucial to my development of playing in public (mostly church services), with guidance on performance preparation, conduct and review. I feel very fortunate to have such a gifted and thoughtful teacher. Of course, I recommend him to anyone interested in playing guitar and improving all aspects of their musicianship.

My almost 12-​year-​old son has been taking lessons with Piotr for more than three years, and I credit my son’s love of (and talent with) guitar mostly TO Piotr. He is fun, patient, inventive, supportive and more gifted, as both a teacher and a musician, than I will ever be able to appreciate.
To my son, in turn, Piotr is incredibly cool and simply awesome. He knows that Piotr is a classical guitarist who grew up playing blistering rock and roll, and to hear the two of them rock out on whatever song suits my son’s fancy at the moment — or whatever song Piotr thinks is a good challenge — delights this mom to no end. And then to hear my son noodling around on guitar in his spare time — a hobby that brings him great joy — well, let’s just say that it’s nice to never have to pester him to practice.
I’m endlessly grateful to have such a huge talent working one-​on-​one with my son, and I look forward to seeing my son continue to evolve as a musician and expand his musical horizons — no doubt eventually beyond rock. Thanks, Piotr!

I have been a student of classical guitar for 4 years now, and had two teachers before working with Piotr in early 2012.
In learning anything substantive, a great coach or teacher can make a world of difference. My prior teachers were very good and I appreciated the foundational lessons. In working with Piotr, this year has marked a major increase in my repertoire, including pieces that I have listened to for decades. Under Piotr’s guidance and advice, I have also learned how to play pieces with more musicality and with color.
What I particularly enjoy about Piotr’s approach is that much of the teaching is student led — he takes full account of your preference. However he also ensures that you are challenged to keep growing as a musician and guitarist with his suggestions. These are important areas to balance.
Finally he is very flexible on hours and as someone with a full time job, this is really appreciated!

Piotr is a fabulous musician and teacher and I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in classical guitar and at any level. I feel very fortunate I found him a year ago when I decided to finally take the time to pursue a long time interest in moving from my past classical piano playing and basic folk guitar strumming to learning classical guitar, a truly wonderful instrument. He is adaptable to what a student can do in terms of both time and ability, provides very useful tips and perspectives, and I find am extremely grateful for what I have learned and how I have improved in the time I have spent studying with him, even with limited time to play and practice. As a music lover of many types of music from folk to jazz to classical, I find that he is an absolute delight to listen to and learn from. Listen to him on Youtube and read some online reviews of his performances. He is truly a wonderful musician, with that rare combination of superb technical ability with musicality and emotional connection to the music. He has won or placed highly in a number of serious international guitar competitions. I consider it a real privilege to have him as a teacher. Five minutes of listening to him play Bach will transport you to another time and place, something I have only experienced listening to the most exceptionally talented musicians, and something totally inspiring to the student. If you are fortunate enough to have time to study classical guitar and to be able to have Piotr as a teacher, you should go for it!
