Though Glen Fuchs may be a great doctor, I would recommend finding a different dermatologist rather than seeing his son Aaron. As previous comments have stated, Aaron Fuchs is condescending and brief — I felt he was talking down to me based on my age, my gender and the subjects I’m studying at college. He spent more time asking if I had a problem with what little acne I have than seriously examining the mole I came in to have him look at. He scolded me for having a slight tan at the end of the summer, joking that the way he gets «girls my age» to stay out of the sun is to remind them «that’s how you get wrinkles.» I feel like I just paid to be insulted and dismissed — he was in and out of the room so quickly that I didn’t even have the chance to consult him about another dermatological concern I’d meant to ask about. True I cannot speak to his technical prowess because I only had a routine check-​up but I have never had such an unpleasant medical experience — and I’ve had a root canal.

I moved to Virginia about a year ago and was referred to Dr. Fuchs by a friend who has been to his office a few times. He has treated me for some acne issues and I’ve also gotten botox from him a few times on my forehead. I’ve had acne for a long time and its amazingly frustrating to still have it as an adult. Dr. Fuchs has been great in offering me a few alternatives and kind of setting my expectations on what a given treatment will do and how long it will take to actually work… When I moved here from NY I was worried I would have trouble finding a good doc, but despite it sometimes taking a little while to get an appointment, so far I’ve been really happy with him.
