Had bought their juice before and thought I’d try the food. I get a long introduction about their ~*~“vegan”~*~ spring roll. I’m hungry so yea, why not. Before they ring me up I ask the price. $ 14.99. AREYOUKIDDINGME. These things aren’t even that big. I can get much cheaper vegan options at TJ’s or WF or Glen’s. I laughed and walked away. If the upkeep is too much, move. No one cares.

All the juices I tried were delicious and the food was pretty good too, but they don’t advertise the menu or prices and so it is a little deceptive. By the time I asked the price I was already rung up and it was $ 16FOR A JUICE. Really ridiculous if you ask me, but I am not a juice aficionado so if that is normal then my apologies. I can make my own juice at home for much cheaper. No more trips to Goshen for me.

Good juice, but seriously at $ 15 for a small bottle of juice, it’s not worth it. I hadn’t realized how much it cost until I received my receipt via email. $ 32 for bottles of juice? What the what?

The juice is amazing! The staff is always pleasant. They only had the smaller bottles this last time I went and I wish they had the larger ones. I don’t get to union market as frequently as I would like so the bigger bottles would have been amazing. Their Kale juice is the only Kale drink I like because it doesn’t taste like grass. I’m obsessed with the carrot, apple juice! It’s delicious and they clearly make it on site. Much better than those Naked or Evolution drinks

We stopped by simply because of the beautiful display of the sample cups for the vegan juice.(Must admit, their marketing got us!) They had three juices today — kale, carrot, and beet juice. They had kale and carrot juice for sample and they were both very delicious! for vegan drinks, I was surprised by how smooth the consistency of the drink was! The carrot juice had a refreshing scent — it smelled like sugary tropical V8 drink. Can’t fully remember what they said was in the carrot juice but there was ginger. No worries though, you can’t even taste the ginger in it. The beet juice was also extremely flavorful. Initially while the juice is going down, I couldn’t tell it was a beet juice until after. There’s a bit of a strong after taste, but I have an acquired taste for juicing! The bottles are absolutely beautiful and would make for a great gift for Fanatic juicers. They are $ 14.99 for about 16 oz of juice. There were food options, but I felt like they were pushing more for the juices. I would highly recommend trying the juice, you wouldn’t be disappointed.

Juice Nazi!!! Was having an enjoyable stroll through the Union Market when I encountered Goshen. The first think I noticed were interesting looking bottles of juice. A very pleasant young lady offered samples to me and I was proceeding to make a purchase when another customer came by and asked for a food dish. I was surprised because I did not see any food dishes on display so I asked for a menu. She explained that they did not have a menu. I proceeded to suggest that they provide a menu so customers would be aware of all their offerings. At that point, a man who was working in the rear came forward and chastised me for not understanding their sign«raw, vegan, food, juice» was sufficient. He launched into a wild rant about how he knew what he was doing and did not appreciate feedback from customers. Then he wanted to explain his biography to me. At that point, I could see that he had no interest in feedback. I could have explained my biography as a past owner of a $ 50M company, but I knew it would be useless. When I recounted this to my husband, we anointed him the«Food Nazi».

As a fully raw vegan, hate to say it but too many raw food places have huge attitudes. I was so delighted when I came to Goshen today to be treated incredibly well – they even immediately offered me samples of what they had that day(of both their juices and desserts) as soon as I stepped up to their counter. I took a delicious little pumpkin pie surprise home with me. I also made a special request for a raw sandwich that will be ready tomorrow. Now how cool is that?! So nice!

Yum! I am a fan of Goshen: D This raw/live and vegan food spot offers salads, pastas, and rolls, but my favorite are them drinkssssssss! They have a spot in the Union Market, so don’t be shy in asking for a sample of their beverages. I fell in love with their ‘Beet, Apple, Lemon, and Ginger’ drink — it was tart, slightly sweet, ginger-y, and refreshing; best of all, it doesn’t come with any ice, as they want you to taste the full explosion of the flavors rather than the ice that will water it down. Ask for Marcus — he is super friendly and is more than willing to share information with you on the items they have: D Check them out! +‘Beet, Apple, Lemon, and Ginger’ drink: D +ask for Marcus: D

Pumpkin tart was supper yum! No pumpkin in there though, all carrots is what I was told so that was cool. Also it was really small the price I was charged. All of the entrees were gone except for two sadly so I didn’t try any entrée. So for that I knock off a star. Really wanted to try the raw samosa!

This is not your ordinary juice bar. The guys here are knowledgable and talented at making healthy taste exceptionally delicious! Yes, it’s true that juice that is made to order has more antioxidants, but the juice is still relatively fresh(recently made) and it still yields lots of healthy wonderfulness for your body. The staff is friendly, they offer lots of samples, all of which are also delicious. They are happy to answer questions and talk to you about the benefits of their food products. This is a place definitely worth dropping by when you are in Union Market.

Great juices and smoothies! I always feel super healthy when I drink these. They always off for free samples at the Union market location and the sales people are great and well educated. You can even buy a few and then wrap them up for you so they will last 2 to 3 days in your refrigerator. The only downside is that they are a bit pricey but comparable to other juice places in the city. I wish I could afford to do a 3 to 5 day cleanse with the drinks but that would break my budget. I like the flavors and they are a little bit sweeter than some of the other juice places like j, rink. I stop here every time I’m in Union market which is 2 to 3 times a month.

Attention: Cold-pressed juice needs to be drank within 10 – 20 minutes or stored in an air-tight container, with the air pumped out. Otherwise the antioxidant properties, vitamins and minerals diminish quickly. You might as well hit the grocery store and save yourself the $ 10. Goshen is a great example of everything that a fresh juice place should not be. As a fresh juice connoisseur, let me start by saying that the juices at Goshen are not made to order nor are they made when you order. They are said to be made earlier in the day and placed in a fridge, stored in plastic solo cups with loose plastic tops. Fresh juice loses its antioxidant properties and minerals as well as its incredible fresh taste in minutes after being juiced. The only way it can be kept in a fridge is in airtight containers. Placing it in plastic solo cups with a lose top in a not-so-cold fridge is a waste. I asked Goshen if they could make me a fresh Ginger and Lemon juice with a Carrot base. This is an easy order that is commonly made all over the country. The gentleman said that he could do that easily, «I gotchu». I ask if he can make it ginger heavy, he replies, «Yes, I got ginger, can also add apple juice.» I say, That’s nice, but I just really want carrot juice with ginger and lemon. He says, «Not a problem.» He reaches deep in his fridge and pulls out a ready made orange-colored drink and rings me up for $ 9. I ask him if this is fresh? He points to the sign that reads, «Raw, Fresh, Juice» next to the Register. As if the permanent sign next to the register updates as time passes. The drink: it’s semi-cold, sweet like honey, with a small hint of ginger and no signs of lemon or orange. Thank you Goshen. I love purchasing $ 9 cups of Tropicana and having my order completely ignored. Sounds like you don’t really care or know what a fresh juice is. Goshen might be great for the juice newbie who has never has never made an organic fresh juice for himself, but for us other who have fresh juice daily, me thinks meh, what a mistake. Someone please open up a real juice spot in the area.

I came to Union Market with my sister today, and even before getting there I decided I’d finally try the juice bar table. I was hung over and was looking for something hydrating with a nutritional kick. We got there as the whole market opened at 11, and were told they would not be ready until 12. That was fine as we were going to grab food and were in no rush. I go back at 12:30 and they still aren’t ready and the guy says 10 more minutes, but I can buy it now while I wait. So I hand him my card expecting maybe $ 6 tops for a tinyy cup if juice that I’m assuming will be a little over priced. He flips the iPad around after it’s already gone through and it’s $ 8.79. So now I’m a little irritated as there are no prices listed anywhere and had I known it was so unreasonable I wouldn’t have gotten it. So I say to the cashier playfully, «so what’s in this $ 9 juice anyway?». The chef/owner heard and chimes in to say«this is a $ 40,000 dollar kitchen, this is a $ 100 million dollar building, etc.» SUPER defensive and abrasive and I’m thinking… congratulations, but really like are there angel whispers in this juice or what? I clarify that I just wanna know the ingredients and after some more tangential muttering and sass I find out it’s kale, apples, ginger, and lemon. That’s it? For $ 9? Idk I just really disliked the service and the ego of the owner. I think he has an inflated conception of just how valuable his business is.

I don’t want the 3 stars to make people think I’m not a fan, because I am. The truth of the matter is though, I must warn you that this place is pricey for what it is. And what is it? Well it’s a blender.(I didn’t sample their food so I can’t speak to that). But their raw fruit/veggie juices are simply that – raw juices. For $ 8 a cup, they must be purchasing magical products. I can blend up more juice with organic carrots at half the cost right in the comfort of my home. But not to be so negative, I appreciate that they make carrot juice so ridiculously delicious. I had a carrot ginger medley which was divine and sampled a strawberry banana smoothie which was equally scrumptious. However, with the aid of the internet and my local farmer’s market, I think I can dream up delicious juiced meals as well. Cheers!

The drinks here are great but even more so than that is the staff! My boyfriend and I were lucky to have met Nathaniel and James a couple nights ago and we’ll definitely come back to see them again! They were so helpful when we were trying to decide which drink we wanted(we ended up choosing the carrot one which was delicious). Thank you to Nathaniel and James for a memorable experience and a great conversation =]

I’ve tasted the samples plenty of times and had numerous conversations with the Goshen staff since they opened at Union Market. I never got around to buying anything. I’ve been congested and feeling under the weather for a few days and decided to get a juice and let me tell you! This Kale juice was EXACTLY what I needed. My nose opened up and I don’t feel sluggish anymore! I’m going to refer everyone at the hospital where I work!

I was on my merry little way to grab a pork bun from Maketto when I noticed that it had changed stalls. On my trip to the other side of the market, a smiley person from Goshen asked me if I wanted to sample some of his juices. He was so nice, I couldn’t say no so I pulled myself up to their counter for a taste. Each juice he poured was more and more delicious than the next. I was very impressed especially since I’m more of a Team Smoothie girl as opposed to juice. I pulled out my credit card to grab a green juice when he offered me a veggie summer roll sample. This was no itty bitty sample, it was as big as my ring finger! Stuffed to the brim with crispy colorful veggies and a slice of creamy avocado it was delightfully beautiful to look at and equally tasty as well. Summer rolls are the food of my people so I was surprised to see a vegan version that was just as good. For food that is tasty and healthy, Goshen can’t be beat!

Is it possible I’ve found a place that’s too«health food» for me? I say this as a vegetarian, a pacifist, and a professional researcher in integrative healthcare. To me, juice is great, but juicing is a bit out there. So what about this place? I was gratified to receive free samples from their pleasant staff, something they obviously do a lot of. Their whole operation is raw and vegan, which is remarkable, even for just a booth at Union Market. The fruit/veggie juice blends I sampled were probably all ludicrously healthy, but they tasted like food(and not medicine; normally the perception is that healthy things taste bad). The beet-based concoction I took a leap of faith on was surprisingly palatable. That being said, I just can’t see myself spending $ 8 plus tip regularly for a juice. I’m sure they aren’t cheap to produce, but the bottom line is that I could get a meal for not much more than that, and I’ve got bills to pay. They had food, and some desserts as well, and I imagine they do a lot of small transactions from people sampling everything in Union Market. The people and the principle were quite pleasant, and I might take a flier on those desserts if I’m ever in Union Market again, but I can’t say I’m quite on the«I am Goshen» bandwagon just yet.

A hidden gem! We discovered Union Market AND an amazing restaurant with this find. Each day, GoShen makes a new raw, vegan(always gluten-free) menu item along with an assortment of desserts and fresh juices. Today I had raw avocado spring rolls — they were, quite simply, perfect. The veggies were fresh and crisp and the ratio of veggies to wrapper was exactly how it should be. It was accompanied by red cabbage slaw and a savory-sweet dipping sauce. Perfect for a hot summer day. I went back for dessert and it was amazing. Small but rich and delicious. I’ll be going back. Tomorrow.

Don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it. Walking aimlessly around Union Market, I stopped at Goshen Juice not knowing what to expect. The guy behind the counter asked if I wanted to try their carrot juice and began to pour a sample. I wrinkled my nose and mouth in disgust — «why would anyone want to drink carrot juice?» He explained the benefits of carrots and seeing better and that the juice was blended with apple and ginger. Down the hatch — it was delicious and not too sweet; other than the orange tint, there was very little carrot taste. Then came the dark green juice. It was some type of kale concoction with lemon and ginger. «Umm, definitely no,» I thought. But he poured another little sample and I could never refuse a free drink so down it went. Another winner. Truly amazed, I drank carrots and kale, and actually liked it. I didn’t buy anything but might in the future. A solid 3.5 stars!
