Griffin Apartments at Petworth Metro

I’m writing this review specifically for Reggie, one of the maintenance guys in the building. I have never had an issue that he did not resolve the same day or as soon as possible thereafter – even coming into the District on his day off to fix problems if necessary. Reggie’s earnestness and pleasant personality are much appreciated!

I recently moved from Griffin and had previously lived across the street at Buzzuto’s other property Park Place. The expectation is that tenants at Griffin share and pay for amenities across the street at the other building. This includes bicycle storage (not on site), a gym, rooftop common area, and concierge support staff. The neighborhood is sketchy after normal business hours, the block has loiterers standing around all day, and the Georgia Ave & Quincy sides of the building are very noisy (sirens, honking, yelling citizens etc).
The concierge staff across the street is always very helpful and the installed cabinets and appliances in each apartment nice. One issue that residents will not understand until they move in is the sheer amount of street noise that carries through the windows into the apartments. While the location of the apartment is convenient next to the metro please be cognizant that there are four local hospitals in the area of which ambulances transit Georgia Avenue all hours of the night with sirens blaring.
The staff who manage the property made an exceptional effort to take care of the residents. I personally think them for the enjoyment of living at their two properties for the last year and a half.
