I actually AVOID this liqour store (esspecially as a woman). I would suggest that you do the same unless in DIRE need of liqour.

SHAY-​DEE!!! Everything is behind plexiglass, so you have to tell the cashier what you want. It was convenient when I needed tequila and margarita mix in a pinch. However, the guy in front of me panhandled me right as he was ordering, which was somewhat shocking. There’s almost nothing else but vacant lots on the block, and I sometimes see people walking out to drink (and urinate) in said lots. Once the west end of H Street NE gets filled in with more businesses, perhaps the liquor store can spruce up and be a more positive presence on the block.
