Havana Banana Breads

Great banana bread! Had the coconut dark chocolate banana bread. Yummmm yummmm.

Now, I’m not one to write Unilocal reviews unless my service or experience was awful or super awesome. In this case, my experience was super awesome!
Now, I didn’t go there myself to pick up the bread, nor did I try any others, but the Original was super awesome. A friend was kind enough to snag and deliver me a loaf. Sweet, dark, rich, dense, and moist, I really liked this style of bread compared to what is around in stores and local bake shops. This bread will remind you of the stuff grandma used to make. I’ll admit it, this bread was better than my Grandma’s. Sorry, Grandma no disrespect or anything, but this bread rocks.
For the hardcore foodies apparently you can pick up this banana bread in Eastern Market or even order it on line direct from the company.

Our whole family love thes products and everybody that samples it fall in love with them as well. Our favorites are the Original, Dark Chocolate and Smores.
The breads are so moist and stay that way (not that they are around for long in our kitchen). We normally stock up with them on the counter, fridge and freezer to make sure we have them around for a while.
Our hope is that it become avaible in more stores around Bethesda in the near future. In the meantime, we use their online ordering system for home delivery.

I was originally attracted to this booth at Eastern Market because it had a sign that said «owned by a disabled vet» and another one advertising «$ 1 off with any military ID».
My date and I sampled the original flavor and immediately bought two loaves. Other flavors available were praline and chocolate. The first ingredient listed is bananas, which is a good sign! For those not in the know, ingredients are listed by most to least quantities.
This banana bread is DELICIOUS. If you have a small household, like I do, this bread stays nice and moist for several days while you slowly eat it. I bought the second load to share but in my food greed, decided to keep it for myself.
