Food is reasonably priced, and worth every penny. Every dish tastes so good! I highly recommend Mongolian beef. You will not regret it.

Well, first things first — Jerry’s is now closed. I heard that Jerrys, the car wash, and the gas station are all going to be turned into some high-end condos. Don’t know if that is true or not, but Jerry’s is no more. When it was open, it was some pretty good Chinese food. I bet Yums closes next… they’ve been going downhill for months now.

It is 9 degrees outside, and I just braved the cold and wind to pick up Jerry’s sesame beef and steamed dumplings — instead of ordering from Seamless. In most places Jerry’s Carry Out would just be pretty good, but in the bubble of anti-quality that is the DC Chinese food scene, they are nothing short of miraculous. I hear they’re replacing Jerry’s and the weird gas station next door with condos next year. Those tenants had better cook up some mean Chinese food.

Very good Americanized Chinese food. Note that if you’re looking for more authentic-style Chinese food: this may not be your top choice. Friendly service; reasonable prices.

Just moved to Logan circle and were looking for a cheap place for occasional take out. Great service, really tasty subs(Philly hogie nom nom). Chinese food is ok for the price, had beef and broccoli and sweet and sour chicken. Generous portions. Better and more appealing than Yums.

I love Chinese food and will always go out of my way to come here when i get the craving. Their lunch special is super cheap, only 5 – 6 dollars and even comes with a vegetable eggroll! They use real, fresh shrimp… not the tiny frozen ones commonly found in chinese places. Located right next door to a carwash… so if your car is dirty, 2 birds with one stone!

My husband and I decided to avoid the 100-degree heat and get some takeout from the closest place to our building… BIGMISTAKE! We ordered Hunan Shrimp which was essentially a container halfway full of oil. We also ordered the Hot & Spicy Jumbo shrimp. The dish was not spicy and the shrimp were average(at best). Oh, and let’s not forget the«oh so wonderful» sauce that the shrimp are marinated in… KETCHUP! They just poured a bottle of ketchup onto some shrimp and decided to call it «hot and spicy»… yuck! I wasn’t expecting authentic food or anything high-quality but there should be a law against SERVINGGARBAGE to patrons. I will never order from this place again and will definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone. I will gladly walk an extra 6 blocks in 100-degree weather for a $ 15 salad or whatever else that may exist nearby. AVOIDATALLCOSTS!!! *Posting the grotesque photos of their«food»

Solid Chinese food. I’ve been looking for a place to order and receive GOOD combination(young chow) fried rice, and this place delivered. It’s not too greasy and has all the expected ingredients: bean sprouts, roast pork, chicken, shrimp, rice, eggs, and vegetables. For $ 7.95 for a medium size, I am VERY happy. I also ordered the Four Seasons, a dish my mother would often order from our local take out Chinese restaurant. Jerry’s did well again. The shrimp, roast pork, beef, and chicken, vegetables, and sauce were great. The dish also came with steamed white rice. I didn’t try the hot and sour soup that I ordered for my boyfriend, but it looked good. I also ordered half fried and half steamed dumplings(8). Another winner. Like others said, this place is reliable and even though I walked in and placed my order, I was out the door in less than 10 minutes. There’s no delivery, but there are plenty of seats, and the restaurant has a generous selection of bottled beverages, Ben and Jerry’s ice cream(limited flavors), chips, candy, milk(yes, you read that. Nothing was near expiration and they have the small and large sizes), and they also sell fried chicken, gyros, subs, and other slightly unexpected items. The cashier was super friendly and the place is clean, although I was a little concerned with it being next to the gas station, but the inside is what you would expect for a local Chinese restaurant. Highly recommend. I will definitely be back to try other items, but I am sold on the combo fried rice.

For a hole in the wall place, I’ve come to love my local little greasy spoon. I would be tempted to give 5 stars but the best stuff here isn’t the chinese food but the sandwiches. I get the cheeseburger sub and am happy every time. French fries are good too.

I give it 3 ½ stars. Went for lunch yesterday. The place is very unassuming with a corner store feel. No frills. Had the 3pc Fried Chicken and fried rice. $ 5.50. What a bargain. My «death row last meal is southern fried chicken» and i don’t want it sweet, i want it salty and savory and this place does it right. Thank You. This tasted like it was right out of the southern kitchen. It also helps a little that it was cheap. Just like Blue n White in Alexandria, the fried chicken is treated with the respect it deserves. Next time General Tso’s and wings.

This is the best Chinese food in DC. Forget Chinatown, go a little more uptown to this hole-in-the-wall and enjoy! I always want to get something new but I can’t get away from the dumplings and beef and broccoli because it is SO good. The only tiny issue I have is that they don’t deliver – but it’s worth the drive or walk.

This is American Chinese food(take out, although they do have seating for a few). It’s pretty good. I have been here here twice and would happily go again. It’s trustworthy. I have had at least six or seven things on the menu. Everything I tasted was good. The prices are as expected. The service is pretty fast.

This is one of those hole-in-the-wall Chinese fast food places that also sell sandwiches, hamburgers, etc. If you’re thinking you’re going to get great authentic Chinese food, you’re not. However, for the price and quantity of Americanized Chinese food… this place is awesome… especially if you’re on a budget. If you can get there for their lunch specials until 3pm, they have a pretty good deal and it should more than fill you up. I usually get the Hunan chicken which is great. If I don’t get that, I’ll get the hamburger combo, which include a ton of fries and a can of soda. All of $ 5.83…you can’t get much cheaper than that. The staff is friendly and even remembers what I got the last time, so that’s a little bonus. Overall, if you’re in the area and need cheap and fast food, you generally can’t go wrong with this place… just keep your expectations low.

Best Chinese Carry Out in DC! I would even say it’s the best Chinese Carry Out in the DMV area — I’ve tried other Chinese Carry Outs in Maryland and Virginia and they don’t even come close to the quality of food at Jerry’s! They have the best beef and broccoli, shrimp basket, and steak & cheese sandwich. The beef has very little fat(just enough fat), so it’s not all fat(and chewey & barely any meat) like most beef items that other carry-outs sell. Also, the food is always fresh and they’re fast! They also have a great variety of other foods such as gyros, mozzarella sticks, wings, etc.

Quality-wise there is nothing wrong with this restaurant. I had the medium chicken with garlic sauce and it was a solid dish, as good as you’d find at other Chinese places. But at nearly $ 9 I couldn’t help feeling a little ripped off for what I was getting. There didn’t seem to be much else in the area though.

So this place has better chinese food than Yums II on P st. but not as good American food. So if you’re hankering for some General Tsau or Moo Goo this is your place. But if you want a burger or wings, Yums II(and I can’t emphasize the II enough) is the real deal. The service at Jerry’s is great and I love their wall of cold drinks. They also keep the place sparkling clean at all times.

Favorite carry out place near my office on Vermont Ave. I almost always get Hunan chicken with extra veggies and less rice. Yes, less rice because they serve more rice than I can handle in a single day. They also have great wings and their price is what wins them 4 stars. Maybe they are worth 5 as I never had a bad meal from them.

Probably more like 4.5 stars but I had to deduct a point for the grocery store french fries. Came here for lunch the other day with the wife. I know, I’m a romantic guy. Looks like your typical Chinese carryout place but don’t be fooled, the food is quality. Went with the jumbo shrimp basket and it’s 7 shrimp, a good amount of fries, and cole slaw for like 8.75 after tax. I was a little skeptical after seeing the breading but the shrimp inside dare I say, tasted fresh. They were big as well The cole slaw was solid, their cocktail sauce and hot sauce were very good. Really good service as well. We’ll be back Jerry, damn you we will be back.

Your friendly neighborhood carryout and everything a carryout should be. Candy, Ice Cream, Mulitple drink options, Fast Service, MCD’s style Apple Pies, Wings, Fries, and Ofcourse chinese food you name it, Jerry’s has it. Put this in Your Mouth: Steak and Cheese Egg roll…(beware it is very hot) Jerry’s Lunch special is delicious… try it, I suggest Kung Pao chicken… your mouth will thank you. Between $ 5 – 6 dollars for a ton of food. Fries Apple Turnover Pepper Steak Mongolian Beef Chicken Wings(W/Mambo Sauce… msut be done) Put the container down: General Tso’s Chicken(Wildly popular… no spice whatsoever… only time i’ve ever been disappointed by Jerrys) I would give Jerry’s 5 stars if their prices didn’t go up every 4 months and if their General Tso’s chicken was actually good. Jerry’s…Do it!

yup food cooked to order. so don’t try eating it right away cuz you will burn your mouth and lips and tongue. i ordered the lunch special tofu w/mixed veggies($ 4.75) and asked them to make it spicy. be warned the tofu is deep fried then thrown in with your stir-fried veggies in a red chinese 5 spice tasting sauce. you can ask for the no oil version too. comes with either fried or steamed rice. and surprisingly an eggroll(which I didn’t eat)). place is a carry-out, you can call ahead to order. there are a couple tables which you can sit and eat your meal. there are plenty, and i mean quite a variety, of bottled beverages from soda to non-soda products.
