I stopped in to grab a sandwich for my «later-on» snack and was greeted by a employee who totally understood the art of customer service! This tall, young fellow greeted us warmly and while taking our order, chatted with us about the weather, the goings-on in DC all while asking us how we wanted our sandwich! He was engaging, warm, and incredibly hospitable! On top of it all, he made our sandwich perfectly! Fresh, layered evenly, executed with love! I wish I would have remembered his name… he’s the type of employee that adds value to a business. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting… customer service, impeccable! Visit Jesery Mikes on Rhode Island Row! You will not be disappointed!

I recently discovered this sub shop and I’m in love! The food is great and the staff is very friendly! Goodbye Subway and Hello Jersey Mike’s. I love the tuna sub and my all time favorite is the club supreme.

I have been to this location 3 times and everytime I have gone they would always mess up my order. I feel if you are going to ask a person what they want on a sub at least listen so you get the order correct even though you can tell the quality of meat and bread is very good they need to do better with taking orders but I will not be going back in to this shop

Probably one of the best restaurants on rhode island row. Food is always on point. Only drawback… long wait for hot subs

Haven’t had a JM since NJ Shore days. It’s just as good. My son gives his turkey and bacon the thumbs up. I had the Italian(the true measure of all sub shops). The boy and I are on a quest for the perfect sandwich. This isn’t it but it’s still awesome.

The sub was hot(they’re true to their word) but wasn’t the best sub I’ve had. The reason this place gets 4 stars is for the service. The person taking my order was patient and friendly and made it a point to pronounce my name the right way! Definitely worth a visit if you’re hungry and in the vicinity.

Was there last weekend. Great sandwiches, fresh ingredients, good service. The tables were a little messy, but in general it was clean. We’ll definitely return to try some of their other cold and not subs.

As a New Yorker, I really didn’t want to trust any dude from Jersey slingin’ hoagies, but I figured I’d at least give Mike a try. Damn Mike, gotta admit, for a bridge-crosser, your Club Sub is the bee’s knees. Employees at this location always seem to be friendly. Oh, and the playlists they have going in here are jam-central!

One of my favorite sandwich place in my neighborhood. The bread is so fresh and they prepare it right in front of you. So far my favorite is the roast beef and Philly cheese steak. So basically I will say the food is good, the price is not bad and the service is great

I heard a lot of good things about their subs so I went & tried the #8, I was not a fan at all & there were very minimal toppings. Better luck next time I hope.

Words cannot describe how excited I was to see a metro accessible Jersey Mike’s in the DC area… but I’ll give it a shot for Unilocal.I’m very familiar with the chain having grown up in NJ, and their sub is far superior to any sub in the DC area. I’ve tried quite a few when I was in need a good sub fix, but none came close to this quality for me. You really can’t convince me otherwise. I ordered the Club Sub which is turkey, ham, bacon, provolone & I added salami. So much nostalgia was happening with every bite. It was amazing. I still have an NJ number, so I felt a sense of NJ pride when the cashier asked for my phone number to get points towards their loyalty program. In addition to getting free eats through their loyalty program, they have online ordering and an app that you can place orders through too. I’m still psyched that this place is so easily accessible, and I can’t wait to come back here again!

The arrival of a Jersey Mike’s to Washington is a boon to all those who enjoy a giant sub. They don’t have the craziest selection of meats/cheeses, but they slice them in front of you and put them together into large, delicious sandwiches. Their lettuce, onions, and tomatoes are always fresh, and they have a number of condiment options for you to use. I’ve eaten many of their subs, both hot and cold, and have yet to be disappointed. They make their own roast beef in-store, so that’s a big plus, but I’m usually a #13(an Italian with 5 meats on it) man myself. The chipotle chicken philly is my favorite when I want something hot. Spend the money(a $ 12 giant sub is more than enough for two) and buy a good sandwich instead of Subway.

I had a TERRIBLE day today and decided to try to make it better by looking for a decent COLD sub shop. Which I haven’t been able to find since moving to DC(Seriously…What’s with you people and hot subs?!) a friend of mind suggested Jersey Mikes since that was the place she went to in California when she was missing our favorite NJ staple. The guy who made my sandwich must’ve noticed the dark cloud with isolated rain floating over my head the entire time I ordered because while he was loading up my GIANT sub he asked me how my day was. I didn’t hesitate to tell him just how crappy my day has been and he sympathized and tried to cheer me up. We talked for the rest of the transaction and whilst in conversation he ended up making my sandwich with half wheat/half white bread! He started deconstructing the sandwich but I told him it was ok. He gave me free cookies for being such a good sport about it!(Great service recovery) As if my experience wasn’t good enough I can officially say from a born and bread JERSEYGIRL… this was the BEST sub I’ve had since moving to the DMV area. I will definitely be back. Thanks for brightening my day, filling my tummy, making me feel like I was back at «the shore» and giving me more than enough left over to take for lunch tomorrow!(Seriously…the ‘giant’ is GIANT) I wish I had gotten the associates name… anyways, from one customer service worker to another, GREATJOB!

The hot hoagies are ok. Service wasn’t all that great– the workers really didn’t seem like they wanted to be there.

I found my new sandwich spot! My husband and I came here for lunch and I am so happy we did. First, the costumer service is impeccable. The owner is an absolute sweetheart as well as the employee’s. The food was amazing, fresh ingredients, soft chewy bread, and the store is very clean.

I love Jersey Mikes. They make the only true Italian cold cut sub with premium deli meats like Capicola and their vegi’s and bread are awesome. So why only 3 stars? Apparently Mikes Way is not just a recipe it’s a policy. I was looking forward to a steak and cheese for the game. I travel 20 minutes to get here because it’s worth the time but when I asked them to toast the bread so it wouldn’t be soggy when I got home they refused! Well I was there so I ordered it but just as I feared the bread was soaked with steak juice and the moisture from grilled onions. Mushrooms, and peppers. Needless to say their steak and cheese is off the menu from now on. I’d be anxious to here why this is the policy. I’m sure some bean counter has given them some figure as to the time it takes and the grill space lost, blah blah blah. To summarize, Italian and all cold sandwiches good, hot wet sandwich with travel time bad!

One things about this area, specifically Rhode Island Row, customer service almost always sucks. Like offensively bad. Like owner of the chain being disrespectful because you’re a woman bad(see Carolina Kitchen review). And Jersey Mikes is none of those things. Super nice staff — in fact the owner works behind the counter making subs. And the food is good. The ingredients are fresh. They’re not always out of something(a la their neighbor Chipotle) and they’re clean. They also take the time to answer all my ridiculous questions because I can never make up my mind about what I want to order. Definitely worth a few return visits.

Not bad. Very basic ingredients to choose from: lettuce, tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, banana peppers… And some vinaigrettes and oils. «Mike’s way» is pretty much lettuce onion tomatoes vinaigrette salt and pepper. They loaded my turkey sub up with everything and it was pretty dense. 7 something gets you a ‘regular’ size, and everything tasted fresh. Service was good and fast, no real line. Relatively healthy alternative, although they only have one type of bread(white bread). Options are very basic, but sometimes simple is better. Next time I come I might try a hot sub. They definitely make the cold subs quick, though, which I appreciated. More generous than many Subways I’ve been to.
