Where’s the meat? The regular subs have hardly any meat on them. If you skimp on meat, do not skimp on toppings BUT they do. The toppings are about as sparse as the meat so you basically are eating a Child’s sandwich with hardly any meat & any toppings. If I wanted to go back to Kindergarten sandwiches, I would have eaten with my kids’ school cafeteria. Initially was excited to have JJ’s open but think that I will stick with Subway which makes JJ’s looks like they are putting slabs of meat on their subs.

I don’t get this chain’s concept. It’s the most basic subs and sandwiches with absolutely nothing to set them apart from the competition. The 8 inch turkey sandwich is generous and flavorful but the only bread choice is hard and chewy. It doesn’t taste baked that day like Subway’s do. Subway and Quiznos both offer at least twice as many items and ingredients as JJ’s. I ordered online to carry out of this location the other day. When I arrived to pick up, I asked if I could get some hot peppers on the side. The counter man told me the couldn’t give me any. I thought this meant the were out of little cups so when I asked again and asked if they could just wrap some up in paper, he said they were«prohibited«from doing that but he did it anyway and acted like he was doing me a huge favor. That seems very strange to me. With the various sandwich options on this block, this place needs to step it up.

I have gotten the veggie sub here twice(and many times from other locations)…the bread has been on the stale side on both occasions. The customer service also leaves much to be desired. It’s like the employees are acting the way they’ve been taught but when something goes off-script, the act drops and you’re left with rude people. There was also a super dicey situation where after my order was placed, I was told it was cash only or they could write down my credit card number. Um, no thank you.

I went to this new Jimmy John’s location to pick up lunch for myself and some coworkers. Along with our sandwiches, I ordered two pickles. When I got back, I discovered that I had paid for them but hadn’t gotten them. When I went back to Jimmy John’s, instead of apologizing, they acted like I was trying to scam them out of pickles. Terrible customer service.

I’ve been eating at Jimmy Johns for over 6yrs. I’ve never saw sandwiches that small from any Jimmy Johns. That is my only complaint, although haven’t tried the delivery service yet, hopefully it’s much better than the one on Wisconsin Ave!
