Dr Starr has fantastic bedside manners: he would spend the time with you, explain his point of view as many times as you need to, you never feel rushed out. He also has a fantastic staff: front desk, his nurse are helpful and prompt to attend to all your needs. Here is where I have a problem with Dr Starr — the suggested«solution“‘ to my particular problem was a rather complex, risky and labeled as «careless» procedure by three(!) «second opinion» orthopedic surgeons I consulted with. I omitted his name from all the consultations, naturally.

Doctor Grossman is the best! He and his staff are very nice and friendly and are great at what they do! The waiting room wait is usually pretty long, but it’s worth it!

Dr. Starr is the second orthopedist I consulted for a back injury last year. My first orthopedist basically drew me a bell curve of average recovery times, told me to stop running, and sent me on my way. Six months later, I was still having a bunch of trouble, and he was talking about some whackjob surgeon in Phoenix — c’mon, I’m 24, please give me options other than surgery!!! So, I went to Dr. Starr on the recommendation of my physical therapist, who had seen other patients of his and approved of his techniques. He took one look at my MRI and said surgery wasn’t the immediate answer, then gave me a couple other options. He gave me thoughtful and detailed answers to my many questions. This is more what I was looking for. I feel like back surgery should be a last resort, particularly when you are in your early 20’s! Dr. Starr is great to talk to and actually EXPLAINS things to you(unlike my first orthopedist), and his office is friendly and helpful — especially his assistant Genevieve, who handles most of the paperwork. Definitely a positive experience.
