Excellent menu choices and great vegetarian options. Space is not very relaxing, but if it were it would get 5 stars from me.

4.5 stars Super cheap, and probably the best deal you’ll get in the area for lunch($ 6 after tax!). Customer service is very friendly and fast, and the veggies are consistently fresh. The bibimbap is more than serviceable, and you can customize it to your heart’s content. White, purple, and brown rice options, and plenty of veggie options(counting garlic as a veggie? slightly strange but I’ll take it). Toppings I’ve seen include mushrooms, carrots, kimchi, bean sprouts, cucumber, garlic, daikon, pickled cucumber, walnut, and lettuce). They have beef, chicken, or tofu as your main protein(the chicken and beef are very chopped up). Do note that they charge for every extra topping, but it’s totally reasonable and the portion is more than satisfactory.($.45 cents per extra veggie, $ 1.35 for extra meat). Don’t forget your egg on top!

One of my best lunch place. Ingredients in bibim bap is fresh and you can choose the purple or brown rice. Wish they serve miso soup again. The owner is super nice and she will recommend which ingredients to choose if you have no idea. A bit hard to find this place but it’s worth it.

Cute little place. It’s hiding next to the Cajun Place in the food court. Same owner. Same family. I can’t speak to the Cajun chicken place but the BBP corner is legit. It’s good. It’s cheap. The lady is super friendly. It’s where it’s at.

Cheap, tasty and convenient. Friendly service. Large vegetable to meal ratio, brown and purple rice offered. Long queues, but it moves fast, and worth the wait.

What’s not to love? For $ 6 you get a tasty, healthy and filling lunch. You can pick from regular white rice, brown rice or purple rice then your choice of meat, 5 veggies, then they top it off with egg. Love that they fry your egg right when you order too so you get the fresh runny yolk to mix with all the rice and veggies. Definitely a good spot for a work week lunch.

I liked this place because it was fast, there was a lot of food, and it was cheap. Kept me full all day.

One of the best lunch deals around! Very small place so it’s easy to miss, but this is a gem. Filling meal that’s pretty health and veggie/vegan friendly!

Love this place. Food is always good and fresh. Affordable. Can’t beat it. I get the chicken with the purple rice. I had the beef once but didn’t care for it. But I visit sometimes twice a week. Fresh lunch for $ 6.00.

Is this the best bibimbap you’ll ever have? Absolutely not. BUT for $ 6, you can get a filling, healthy lunch in a part of town where even a sugar-salt-fat lunch costs more than that. I had purple rice, tofu, mushrooms, lettuce, sautéed greens, and cucumbers. The fried egg was cooked perfectly – the yolk was neither runny nor crumbly. The woman’s English was very limited, but she is very sweet and friendly.

This place is my absolute favorite! Can’t beat the price or the quality and the team is warm and friendly. Free miso soup is delicious too. Seriously the best!

What a great concept! Chipotle style bibimbap? I am in! This place is attached to what looked like a chinese place at the food court by the Farragut West Metro station. Basically, you pick the base(I chose purple rice), she puts on the toppings — lettuce, bean sprouts, i forget the other 2, and then you get to pick two more toppings you want — i picked cucumber and mushrooms. Then you pick the protein and they make and egg to put on top of the bibimbap. They then have you pick your sauce(I chose the mild sauce. i know! shame on me!!, but I wasn’t feeling too spicy that day). Anyway, it was really good and really filling. Definitely not completely authentic, but still tasty enough. Yes, I will go back to this place if I’m ever in the area. What a treat!

This place deserves 4 stars for the value of the food — $ 5.50 for a decently large bowl of bibimbap plus an egg is a steal in the DC metro area. As for the actual bibimbap, it was good but not anything special. You get a lot of options for veggies, and all the veggies I picked out tasted fresh. But the chicken I got with my bibimbap tasted sort of dry and was ground. And looking at the other meat options, I don’t think you could do better — the beef and the tofu also looked ground and dry. The egg was also over cooked — i.e., the yolk was no longer runny, which is the kind of yolk I expect with bibimbap. As for location, the place is easy to miss. I was looking for it and still managed to walk pass. It’s located in the underground food court at K &18th, and only has a small stand in the food court. And while you pick out your choices for the bibimbap at the small stand, you pay at the establishment to the right of it.

I ask this for every Korean establishment I go to: Me: What did the Korean robot say to the other robot. Cashier response: idk what would you like? Me: in robot voice: Bi Bim Bop. Silent yet not awkward pause… *shrugs off joke*: um I meant the Chicken Bibimbap. For $ 6, this was such a steal for a Korean bibimbap(damnit auto correct, stop changing bibimbap to bootylicious!!). Placed in a big food court, it was quite surprising to find this hidden gem. With your choice of rice, protein, and 4 vegetables, the world is yours. or your lunch is yours I mean! For such a small stand, there are a lot of choice. Protein — tofu, beef, chicken. Vegetables — kimchi, cabbage, cucumber, mushroom, sautéed spinach. Rice — purple, white, brown. They also serve a lot considering how much you pay for. In addition to what you already get, they put a perfectly cooked fried egg right on top! Such a good and quick meal for the right price! I wouldn’t suggest getting the mushrooms as its kind of hard to chew, but other than that I really enjoyed my meal! Also, you have to pay at the cash register to the right!

WHAT a hidden gem! Who knew you could get a decent meal in this area for only $ 5.50?! Yes, that’s right! You can pick 1 of 4 rices as a base; add in two sides; and then one protein. They top it off with some lettuce veggies and a fried egg as well as a mild or spicy sauce. BAM — you’re done. It’s really that quick and easy. The bowl is pretty large and was very filling as well as quite healthy! In fact, if you get a water cup, all total it’s an even $ 6 — you really can’t go wrong here. It probably doesn’t get the same sort of traffic as its neighbors in the underground Farragut Square food court simply because fewer people have really heard of bibimap(as opposed to the burgers, sandwiches, and other familiar dishes next door).

This is a food court eatery, but with that considered, it’s pretty good and an excellent value for $ 5.50. The vegetables and egg are very fresh and tasty. The portion is generous. The meat is ground and may or may not be «chicken» — but it’s not bad. I ate it and didn’t die, so fear not. A nearby bibimbap restaurant is double the price and tasted roughly the same. I’ll stick with this location!

3 Stars for location and selection of toppings/price. I was not too impressed with the protein/meat selection you get. I ordered the chicken, which is ground, and possibly from a can. I have not yet tried the meat or tofu. Of the bibimbap offerings in this area this is not my favorite. For a quick cheap eat that isn’t fried in the K street area this is a good stop.

Starts with a base of rice(white, brown, or wild) and some lettuce, pick 4 toppings from a big list of stuff, top it with a protein of your choice, an egg, and some sauce. Cheap, healthy, delicious, unique, and a huge portion of food. Couldn’t ask for more.
