Logan Circle Laundromat

I go to Logan Circle Laundromat to take advantage of their super-​sized washers and dryers for when I have to clean my down blankets. This place is really great. It’s clean, air conditioned, and all of the machines work. I mean ALL of them. The change machine, the soap dispensing machine, the washers, the dryers, all of it. The machines are always clean, they all work properly, and they do a great job of getting loads of down blankets in and out in what seems like no time. They also have wifi, which is a great amenity. Logan Circle Laundromat is also a great neighbor. The property is always clean, and clearly the owner cares a lot about his customers.

I wish that there was a way to give this place 10 stars. I HATE doing laundry and had a major backlog. I decided to try the wash and fold service because I didn’t want to spend all weekend (and likely Monday) washing and folding clothes. My experience here was AMAZING. Fast service and super clean folded clothes for $.99 per lb. (I had 100 lbs of clothing and 22 lbs of comforters and towels.) They use top of the line Tide and Downy products (the same as what I use at home). Maria took care of my order. She was THE best. Even called me when my loads were ready for pickup. I will definitely be coming back (with a lot less laundry).

When you need one you need a nice one. This one is clean, the machines are nice and operational. Wifi is free and easy to access. It’s very reasonable. Really glad it wasn’t far from our hotel,

Fantastic service, visiting DC with my family From Australia and needed to do a load of washing. Was able to drop off washing and pick up later in the day all washed and folded for us. Didn’t want to waste a day of my holiday washing. Great price too and only a short cab ride from our hotel.

First and guarantee it won’t be my last! Clean, quiet, upgraded machines– what more could you ask for. I knocked out three loads of clothes/​towels, two blankets and one BIG down comforter in an hour and a half, all the while under $ 20.00! Awesome!

This place is awesome. The pretty woman who works weekday mornings is a pleasure to work with. I love dropping off my clothes and getting them back the same day for just $.90 a pound. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars for the drop off service because I currently bring my own «sensitive» fragrance free detergent and wish they provided that option. On occasion they don’t match up my socks properly which can be a real pain. However, overall I am satisfied and will continue to use this service. The machines are new and clean.

Today was only my second visit to this place but my first experience was great, today… not so much. I arrived at around 1pm to signs on the door saying they were closed due to a fire but I saw someone inside and was hoping that they just forgot to take the signs down. She saw me standing at the front (probably with a pathetic expression on my face) and came to tell me that they were closed and would probably be open around 4pm. I was highly disappointed but just accepted this defeat and debated calling über or taking this 15min walk home that I had just finished getting there in the blazing 90 degree weather. As I was waiting for my über another guy walked up and was pissed because apparently he was told earlier today that they would be open around noon, he had also walked in this hellacious weather. As I was leaving he was still going back and forth with the lady. This was a very disappointing experience and I only suggest that updates be posted on their website or some other place during such events and more clear communication between employees, customers, and whoever the head person is. The poor girl couldn’t offer any solutions and could only give an estimate of when they may re-​open.

Clean laundromat, reasonable prices. Took two loads in for fluff & fold. It was ready on time but all of my tee shirts shrunk and are pilled. It’s clear they washed them on hot and dried them on high, including a rayon/​poly bicycling shirt. Don’t these people do laundry for a living? Should I have to specify? Lost some of my favorite tees. Would only go back for self service.

This place is great: extremely clean, everything is brand new, free wi-​fi, and it’s the cheapest in the area, too! Ample free parking and lots of windows.
Four sizes of front-​load washers from $ 2.50 — $ 6.00 (for comparison: at the laundromat 3 blocks south the cheapest washer is $ 3.50; while at 7^th & P there are only two top-​loaders at $ 2.00 and front-​loaders start at $ 3.50). There are 21 machines in total: four at $ 2.50, eight at $ 3.50; four at $ 4.50, and five at $ 6.00. There are 22 dryers, and drying is 25¢ for 5 minutes.
Single-​size Tide, Downy, Bounce, and Chlorox for 75¢ each from a vending machine. Larger sizes of detergent and washing supplies at reasonable prices from the counter.
Wash, dry and fold for 90¢ per pound (minimum $ 9, though).
The only negative is that there really could be more seating. Also, if you’re expecting a bathroom you’re going to be disappointed.
Update from late 2015:
They actually do have a bathroom: it’s behind an unmarked door adjacent to the main entrance. If you ask at reception, she’ll give you the key. They also have a large laundry sink, which I hadn’t noticed before. The laundromat is as clean as ever, and I think they added more seating. Prices remain the same.

It’s great that they have free wifi — but there’s no where to sit really. They have 2 small benches that seat maybe 3 people each. So, you’re SOL if you come in and there’s a family or two in here. There are a couple places that more seating could go.
I don’t really want to just leave my stuff and go find another place (eg Starbucks) to sit and wait. And waiting for a couple hours while standing is a bit dull.

Wasted trip. Called at 11 am and asked about availability for wash and fold service. Was told it would be ready tonight. I’m in a bit of a dire laundry situation so timing is of the essence (came home from vacation to find a broken washing machine… with suitcases full of dirty clothes, and no more undies). I rounded everything up including all our bedding and brought it in. After lugging in several loads from car in the rain (30 mins after calling) the woman told me they couldn’t have it ready until the next day. I nicely explained my situation but she told me there’s nothing she could do. Now off to Pan American Cleaners in Mt. Pleasant.

I appreciate the owners response and dealing with the staff member. I have started using the laundromat again with no issues. Yes it closes at 10pm and 9pm is the last load so once you’re in before 9 its all good. The staff are great, and keep the place spotless. I’ve never seen a cleaner laundromat! The parking lot has been resurfaced and the buildings been repainted so its looking even better. Having free wi-​fi is a huge plus too and all of these things combined makes the whole chore of laundry a pleasant experience.

Yes. My dryer is still broken. I vow to get one of those new HE dryers in the 2013. But until then, I will be stopping by Logan Circle Laundromat anytime I have the washed load in my car. This place is nice and clean! Quiet. All machines are brand spanking new. I really LIKE this place, especially since the attendant let me in at 9 mmmmm… Shhh… (since I only needed to dry). They could get some wifi, though. That might get them another star. Otherwise, I’m a fan.

I heard they have a wash and fold service… I’ll be back to review that!
