Make A House A Home, LLC

I purchased a Living Social deal for this company around a year ago. It took several attempts to contact them, but ultimately got in touch and was able to schedule an appointment with Tamika for the day I was moving out.
Unfortunately, they never showed up and it added incredible amounts of stress to my move day. I called probably a dozen times before just taking care of the job myself. I heard from Tamika several hours later that their team had unfortunately been in a car accident and was busy calling clients. Terrible news about the car accident, but if they were so busy calling clients, why was I not on the list for my 3pm appointment?
I would not recommend this company, but am currently looking at other cleaning services and need one for NW DC (if anyone has any good ones, please let me know!)

My first appointment was missed, no contact, I had to call them about it.
Made a second appointment and was texted in the middle of the night before the appointment that it had to change to first in the morning rather than the middle of the day.
The cleaning staff was young and worked hard, but seemed a bit inexperienced. The cleaning job was okay.
They did contact me after the job with an offer to make another appointment at reduced prices for customer satisfaction, which brought my feeling from 1-​star up to 2.
If you’re looking for routine cleaning, they might work out fine, but for a special effort cleaning job before visitors, I’d look elsewhere.

I purchased a deal from Living Social and was extremely pleased with the professional cleaning I received. The two ladies worked well together and efficiently. Several times I offered a beverage and snack but they respectfully declined and diligently pursued their tasks in an upbeat and friendly manner. It was clear to me that these two ladies, Lisa and Cheryl, enjoyed providing the service (not just doing a job) and both of them wanted to make sure I was pleased. I will be using their services again and I look forward to their next visit!

I purchased a Living Social deal and was able to schedule an appointment rather quickly. Tamika and her team were very friendly and professional. They did a really great and thorough job of cleaning my condo. Everything on my list was done better than I’d hoped or experienced before with other cleaning services. My bathroom was and kitchen were spotless, my pergo floors shined, all the surfaces were dust free — they moved stuff to really clean things well, instead of just cleaning around knick-​knacks as many cleaning services do these days. Overall they definitely exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend — 5+ stars!

If I could leave zero stars I would. Like everyone else here I purchased their Living Social deal and had a terrible experience. First they canceled my appoint because of a car accident. At first this was very understandable, but now it seems that this may have just been a fabrication because they were not going to show up. They tried to reschedule me for over a month later which I didn’t find reasonable after they canceled on me. I was able to reschedule a reasonable date, but as you have seen from the others on Unilocal they no-​called, no-​showed. I called numerous times and emailed without getting a response.

I recently purchased a Living Social deal for their service. I have tried to schedule an appointment with Make A House A Home several times via email and phone. They have not responded to my emails and their voice mail box is now full so I was unable to leave a voice mail. I have since returned my Living Social deal because I was unable to contact them to make an appointment.

terrible!!! they let us schedule, but never showed up after i waited around for hours! they never even bothered to call, email, or do anything to let us know! do not book this. do not buy the livingsocial deal! stay away. they are horrible!

I bought a living social deal for this place, and tried to schedule an appointment through their website, email, and called — and no response!!!
I don’t even know how their cleaning services are — because they won’t even respond to their customers.
