When I went here on Friday(March 20, 2015), I saw a woman changing her baby’s diaper at the table in the middle of the restaurant. No one said anything or batted an eye. That pretty much says it all.

May be under new management? The restaurant was clean, the employees taking orders were pleasant and spoke clearly, and they were quick to deliver food. Overall, for a McDonalds, it’s a pretty nice experience.

This is probably the closest McDonald’s to my place so I decided to give it a try tonight. It is kind of hidden away and not in as prominent a location as the one right by the Verizon Center — that I like. I didn’t encounter a wait when I came around 5:15 pm and was greeted and helped right away. The cashier was super friendly and listened carefully and was very polite. I had to wait a minute or so for my food but since I was the only one that had placed an order when I came in, I didn’t have to wait long. I did notice a lot of people sitting around inside and there were signs limiting seating to 15 minutes and only coupon per visit. My sweet tea was delicious, and the cup wasn’t filled with ice. My big mac was good but I feel like big macs are smaller than they used to be. Fries were ok but had a funny smell to them. I opted to take my order to go and they packaged it accordingly.

My husband went here to pick up food for us today. I asked for a shamrock shake and fries. The Shamrock Shake was basically a vanilla shake. There was only a small drop of green on the top and no discernible mint flavor– very disappointing. The fries were soggy and after biting into one that was frozen in the middle, we threw the rest out. How can a McDonalds mess up FRIES?! Wish I could give this place zero stars.

The smell! THESMELL! WHATTHEHELLISTHATSMELL? It smells like a homeless person who left their urine. Terrible service, you never know where the line is. And while you’re waiting to order, you get harassed by beggars for change or something off the menu.

Consistently terrible service and skill in the workers hired, including the management

It’s much better than the one a couple blocks away on 7th St. NW. Of course that doesn’t mean much; this one doesn’t resemble a complete shit show and isn’t run by complete idiots. It’s kinda dirty though, I definitely recommend getting your order to go.

It’s not often that I’ll review a restaurant chain such as McDonald’s, and it’s even rarer that I’ll get McDonald’s for lunch — but every now and then, I will(believe it or not, the Golden Arches are actually okay for a diabetic as long as you know what to get). I’ll give it to the staff — this is a very, VERY busy location(nearby the courthouses) and it’s nearly always packed full. It’s also nearly always packed full with some of the most disagreeable, creepy characters on the planet — so I have to give the staff some cred for dealing with these people every single day. However, the last two times I’ve been here have been nothing short of absolutely bizarre. Since I am a diabetic, I do not eat bread items, as it spikes me very badly. Because of this, I find that I have to purchase a bit more food than usual, because when I throw the bread out, that leaves me with… not much left. So, I go up to the counter and order my usual(it’s a couple of sandwiches with some fries, a couple being three or four). The employee(who was very obviously new) actually QUESTIONED me about my order — and did it in a pretty rude manner. Stared at me up and down as if to say, «YOU need 3 or 4 sandwiches?» Well, yeah, Einstein, I kind of do, not that I have to explain why to you — but I’m gracious enough to deign to do so. «I can’t have bread.». So he’s shaking his head and going, «Try this, it’s a meal, it’ll cost you less, etc.» I keep saying no, no, no — look, Stephen Hawking, I know what I want — stop trying to upsell me. Just take the freaking order and shut up. So he finally gives up on peddling his carb-filled McTortillas or whatever and puts in the order. He says, «No bread?» I was like, no need to do it special, I use the bread to feed the birds, just give me your regular meal. He keeps shaking his head — no bread, no bread. I give up — not worth arguing with this pinnacle of humanity. I then try to continue it — not done, man, one fish sandwich with no bread isn’t going to fill me up. I then say, «3 cheeseburgers» and expect that it’s over with, give me my food, let’s roll. Not Mr. MENSA Graduate over here. «NOFREECHEESEBURGER! No free, no free!» Ummm… what? «No free cheeseburger! Can’t give free cheeseburger because you no have bread.» Holy crap, what the hell… I held my fingers up. Three. Three cheeseburgers, dude. He finally gets it and nods, breaking into a smile, probably his proudest moment of the day. I so did not appreciate this entire exchange. It cost me 25 minutes of my 45 minute lunch period to impress upon Wile E. Coyote, Genius that I wanted 3 cheeseburgers and a fish meal and NOT to give me crap about it — if I want to eat Mickey D’s and get fat all day long, that’s my freaking business. Let’s not even get into the missing items every other order. Seriously, just don’t. Not likely to be back here any time soon.(Though I did appreciate finding out that if I insisted on not having the bread, I CAN get it that way. And the burgers DO taste different without it. More seasoned, kind of.) Tip For Diabetics: People will totally not believe you, but McD’s is actually a good place for a diabetic to eat, as long as you know not to eat the bread from the sandwiches. A simple hamburger patty is all of 5 carbs, max. I’ll order a fish meal(10 carbs for the fish patty, partially because it’s breaded), 26 carbs for the fries(if I choose to have them), 5 carbs for each burger patty. It can be satisfying if all you want is the occasional fast food joint. The bread is what makes the sandwiches so awful. Don’t get the shakes or the obvious dessert stuff — bad juju, there. Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor. YMMV. Seek medical advice and tailor my review to your situation. I simply provide opinion.

I have stopped in here numerous time for the sake of convenience, but felt compelled to write a review today. This location is super busy at lunch time yet, will give you food past its prime. Not sure how they do it. Today, the manager just stared at me when I approached the register. Hello? Do you want to take my order? In the middle of my order he stops to suggest to someone in the line next to me that she purchase meals instead of just sandwiches and fries. Uhhhhhhhhhhh… ok. Not ok with her though because she refuses to carry drinks. Back to my order. Total $ 3.28. I hand over $ 5.30. I get two cents back. I tell the manager I gave him a five dollar bill. He stares at me for a moment. Finally, he opens the register and stares inside. I tell him he owes me $ 2 change. He finally gives it to me. By then my order was already up and I happily got out of this McDonald’s. I think they could use a good manager.

Not very clean at all and somewhat inefficient for a McDonald’s. I felt a little gross in here and it takes a lot to make me feel that way. People are just standing around and its hard to tell where the line is. Luckily, there are so many McDonald’s around here that I can skip this one.
