DIRTY and UNPLEASANT location. It smelled like urine inside, even at the register. People loitering. Requested money back for happy meal. Hispanic, short guy, Mgr. Calvin Williams(if that’s his real name) was CURT and ugly when I’d asked for my money back. He demanded that I change my «X» signature to receive my refund. Walk on by and spend extra money for a quick bite to eat somewhere else near the Verizon Center. The worst ever McD’s for anyone.

Not enough seats because of the homeless hogging them up. Sometimes in the morning on plays«doorman» and tries to get money. Their stories that they need something to eat for cash as a honest as the WWE. The food isn’t that great, They need to get rid of those loiters ASAP.

Echoing everyone other reviewer on here… this was the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. I felt like I went into an alternative universe when I stepped through the doors to that place. Food was meh. No free water — apparently you have to pay for even tap water?(I don’t think that’s legal but that’s what I was told). No honey mustard — limited sauces — it’s whatever is on the pump. Seating was weird — some tables only have chairs on one side(and they’re chairs you can’t move) so you eat facing all the customers standing in line. Customers were really sketchy… there was one person who was trying to sell little bottles of who knows what that were being carried in a bullet strap… Don’t recommend coming here at all.

Never ever ever again. This had too be the worst experience I’ve had since I moved too the DMV! Store nasty, customers loud, rude and obnoxious. The staff you could tell just work within the system. Took forever to get our order(happy meal), and then it was wrong! How do you mess up a happy meal? Anywho I will never and I mean never ever go back inside that place for anything!!!

Stopped here while walking back to our car after a long day at the museums. We went through the doors behind another women, the women at the counter took her order and then walked away. when she returned she turned to us and screamed at the top of her lungs WEARECLOSED! Maybe you should look your doors if you are not open, embarrassing for us! Rude and ignorant on her part. Will be contacting corporate about the horrible treatment we received at this location we receive on 10÷12÷15.

In the city of Washington DC, this is probably the worst McDonald’s I have been to… and that says a lot because there are quite a few McDonald’s in Washington DC!

So I saw the 1 ½ star review and thought«come on guys, it‘s just a McDonalds», but this one really lives up to it. It’s a little dirty, even for a McDonald’s, but what got us was the service. WOW! When you say ”I want a #1″ you expect a sandwich, and fries… and a drink. But we only received the sandwich. When we realized we didn’t get every part of our meal was brought it back to the counter and kindly told the employee that we ordered a #1. He replied ”Oh, I guess I didn’t hear you.” So we asked to add a drink and fries and to pay the difference and the two people working the frontline couldn’t figure out how much we owed. But hey, at least our food was hot and we eventually got what we ordered.

People, stay away from this restaurant! Not only that you will not get any food that will be worth the money, you will get your belongings stolen! I was in the restaurant for 15 mins max, eating fries at the table, and my phone was stolen! Seriously? I put my phone next to my food for like a minute, how could anyone have possibly stole it? Asked the cashier if I can get a manager to get access to the CCTV, the answer is no! They all laughed at my face like it happened a millions in this place. Long story short, police came, and repot given. Advice is stay away from this area, not just this store! Chinatown may looked nice from outside, the reality is, this town need some serious security for tourist, residents and workers here! Anyways, I hope you guys get the idea.

This restaurant has so much potential to be very nice. But the management, supervisor, and owner are no way running this business right. The restaurant was completely dirty for starters(exterior and interior) they allow homeless and loud people to just hang inside and around the building all the time, even if no purchase was made by them.(I even saw a guy fill a water bottle up with coke from the machine and walk out like he does it all the time.) And when I got my Meal(not the slowest time) the French fries were hot and fresh… But… The fries were dark like the oil hasn’t been changed in at least 2 weeks(mcdonalds is supposed to change oil every 7 – 10 days) and probably hasn’t gotten it’s daily filtering half that time. And same for the crispy chicken. Also the girl on register just stood there at the register looking dumb while the manager was running the orders. Plus the whole place needed cleaning… I can’t believe a manager can just stand there and let a store be that nasty. Oh ya, plus I could here the kitchen crew from the lobby area and there was another manager back there just laughing and joking with them. — I work for a Mcdonalds and I do not believe that they should be serious the whole time but at least make sure that your store is clean before playing around. And I can’t stand a restaurant that allows people whom beg, try to sell, or are loud stay in or around the business…

stay away from this mcdonald!!! roach infested & all the employees are untrained & rude! the place is also filled with shaddy looking individuals, homeless ppl, drug dealers dealing by the bathrooms, drug addicts, etc. This McDonald is so ghetto, always bunch of teens hanging out in front & fighting! Once saw about 20+ juveniles fighting in front & one pulled out a knife! I would never return to this place for food again! Verizon Center is no longer a safe place ‘coz of this mcdonald. Cannot believe Verizon Center has this fast food horror place there! You could get robbed. It attracts way to many crazies!!! Stay away at all cost, your life might depend on it!

Absolutely The Worst Mc Donald EVER!!! Let see where to begin… the front entrance smell like urine, so many homeless people in front of the door and covering the restaurant that its feel like your being chase by zombies. Security is a joke here, they spend more time flirting with females and getting free food and less time stopping the young teenagers from fighting the restaurant. Even though it has a sign that says«Open 24 hours» on 3 occasions I have been told that they don’t have any food to cook and to come back in 3 hours, wtf? Was also told that their credit card machine was down and that they could only take cash, food was never ranged up and saw the girl at the register pocket the money for herself, smh. Staff is just terrible!!! Rude, ghetto, nasty, etc In all I think they should just get rid of this place and start over with something else!

After a particularly unpleasant meal at this McDonald’s, I came to Unilocal to write a pithy review about my experience. I was delighted to discover that others had done my work for me! I think other reviews have captured the major points — 15-minute police-enforced eating time limit, token-access bathrooms, surly and incompetent staff, poorly prepared food, inadequate space for waiting or eating, sketchiness abound. I’ve eaten at other inner-city McD’s. This is the most terrible, by far. Avoid. I know you’re hungry and it’s right there, but just don’t. There’s a much better Burger King(with a walk-thru!) on the other side of Gallery Place, plus about 4358293971 other restaurants in this neighborhood. There’s nothing that could possibly redeem the terribleness of this location, and I really tried. I was going to say something nice about the system they use for displaying receipt numbers of available orders on a screen that is *theoretically* a good idea that I’d like to see used elsewhere. Unfortunately, it’s employed with the same level of confusion and ineptitude of everything else — numbers are perpetually called before the food is ready, it seems like 50% of the orders are given to the wrong people, and you’re probably going to be ignored when you come up to claim your food. Oh! After asking three people, I got a cup for free DC tap water from the soda machine. That was… good?

One Sunday morning I when to this McDonald’s and order the big breakfast. I sat down by the door and a guy walk over and started to eat his big breakfast with his hands. He was so nasty and drunk. He didn’t even chair. I started to eat faster didn’t even enjoy my breakfast. When a security grad ask him that«why you eating like that. The person dues not like the way you eat.» So he ask him to leave the fast food. No more. When homeless people open door and ask money when you leave. Or when people ask for a water cup and get coffee at the refill where the soda are and ask for them to leave. I just one person. So no more down town McDonald’s and Starbucks an on.

There’s always security at this location… I dunno if it makes me feel more safe. The food is on and off but the convenience outweighs it most of the time. I have pretty low late-night standards. Strictly referring to food… Staff is half friendly and half stoic. I guess it’s hard to be chirpy about your job when you have to deal with so many homeless people and drunkards.

Crowded little place! There is a sign with a 15 minute seating limit, and I know people do not follow that sign. Food doesn’t come out that quick, and the place isn’t very clean, but I saw the security guard wipe down the table and hold the doors for people.

GHETTO. That’s all you need to know. Avoid the Chinatown location at all costs. I don’t even eat McDonald’s but my friends do and I always seem to accompany someone here and each time I return, I’m just more and more appalled at how the conditions have worsened. Have you ever been to a McDonald’s where there is a token machine lock on the bathroom door? Neither have I. PS. You’re not allowed to eat in here for more than 15 minutes. If you do, you risk getting arrested. This place is a mess.

This McDonald’s is a train wreck, a victim of its size: It’s smaller than it ought to be yet serves a high traffic area. This location is always mobbed and there’s never a place to sit. On the bright side, the staff are efficient enough to maintain order, the soda fountain and condiments are easy to access, and their food tastes as it should.
