I’m going to change the swing of these reviews and talk about the Mac and Cheese. Firstly, the staff is very efficient; line was near out the door but it was still fast. The people here are very welcoming, even in a rush.
Secondly, I arrived because I saw «make your own Mac and Cheese.» And I ordered the ‘entrée’ size with bacon and mushrooms and hot peppers. I ordered right when I walked in thanks to a lady with an iPad taking orders. But when I got to the end of the line… I had to reorder. Then when I got my Mac, I was shocked at how small it was. It’s like the size and weight of a TV dinner, the difference being the very yummy fresh ingredients I had them add. Other than that… I would not come back here for the Macaroni. Sad.
I didn’t try the sandwiches, look to other reviews for that.
There’s seating upstairs but I wouldn’t bring a group here!

Substandard! Ordered a tuna «to go” – when I got back to my office, I horrified to discover that my sandwich contained maybe a «smear» of tuna! So I basically got a lettuce sandwich! Blecch! The place looked kind of dirty, and the staff acted as though they’d rather be anywhere but there. I would describe my visit to this Potbelly as «extremely unpleasant.»

Words cannot describe how much I love this place. It’s very cozy, warm, and the staff here is very welcoming. As far as the food goes, I ordered a grilled chicken & cheddar sandwich but got feta cheese instead. Let me tell you: it’s one of the best combinations I’ve ever tried at any establishment in my life. It’s so unfortunate that I can only give this place five stars because it truly deserves more.

I work near 8^th & G, so this place has become a bit of a staple for me. It’s a nice location: clean, has an upstairs outdoor patio, and the staff moves very quickly during the lunch rush. I have, however, had some issues with sandwich quality lately (pickles piled all near the outside of the bun instead of on top of the meat/​cheese, large cold spots in my sandwich). Other than that, it’s a good, cheap lunch option in the area.

This is a standard pot belly by alla accounts. I had a turkey melt and it was up to par. But what really surprised me was the location and the fact that there is an upstairs balcony section. On a good day, it was really nice to sit there and just hang out with old friends as that’s what I did.

When I need a quick lunch, this is my go to spot. The workers are friendly and move fast, even when there’s a crazy lunch rush. And the line can be to the door, so get there early!
The TKY with hot peppers and a side of lentil soup are my favorites! When I’m bad, I get a cookie or shake. So good — both should be illegal.

Awesome breakfast sandwich at a reasonable price! Manager very friendly! Clean bathroom!

I planned a birthday lunch for a co-​worker who doesn’t like to leave the office. Right in the middle of Chinatown. Our group of 6 ordered online assorted sandwiches, soup (only serve certain soup on specified days) and salads. The order was perfect and delivered exactly on time. LOVE the online ordering process. I personally love Potbelly, especially the ‘skinny’ options. I walk there for lunch often and the customer service is excellent.

Standard sandwich spot, nothing new to report, but worth noting it’s clean and not one of the bad locations in the chain.

I was a bit disappointed to learn a 4^th Potbelly was opening within 5 minutes walking distance of where I live. Since we exhausted every fast food options in the area since my husband’s surgery, we finally decided to give Potbelly a try.
I was initially impressed by the staffs who not only were extremely friendly but also so helpful (each gave personal tips/​menu recommendations)! But ultimately, we were disappointed by the food served. My husband went with their regular Italian in multigrain and I went with their skinny chicken salad in multigrain.
Although our orders were made to order and served in no time, the sandwiches were at most mediocre. Our breads were stale. The chicken salad was tasteless. Their signature hot pepper was just salty — where’s the spice? Honestly, Subway’s had Potbelly’s beaten by miles.
Maybe I’m missing something — I honestly just don’t get why Potbelly is so popular. Perhaps we ordered the wrong item? We’ll give it another try some other time but definitely not dying to go back.

Went to the new location today for lunch. Service was fast, which gives this place a big plus for this area for lunchtime. My biggest problem with this location is that there is next to no seating. More than half of the available seating is outside — which would no be fun in the winter. Definitely more of a «take out and eat at your desk» kind of location.
