This place isn’t bad. But it’s not great. I’ve only been here twice and both times were pretty mediocre. Also, both times my friend got something better than I. That being said, they still weren’t amazing. Between my friends and I, we’ve tried custom and classic/traditional wraps and bowls with chicken and falafel. The falafel is pretty good, but«it’s not Amsterdam Falafel,» as my friend said. The chicken was pretty dry, even with all the sauce that was in it. This was also a slight problem as well, both times I went I got a wrap, and both times they were sopping with sauce. Which can be a good thing sometimes in some foods… but not a wrap. I thought all the flavors were good but just lacking SOMETHING. Overall, it’s just fine for a quick and easy meal that’s still affordable.

Good food. Simple, but done well. The garlic paste is fantastic.

This place was fantastic. From the authenticity of the delicious Lebanese cuisine to the attention to detail and great customer service. Don’t be surprised if you meet the man Micho himself.

Pretty tasty and affordable middle eastern fare. The hummus was surprisingly good. Overall, one of the better middle eastern places in town.

Friend and I got really sick after eating here. This was the only place we both ate at and we got the same type of sickness. I rarely write poor reviews but I suggest you stay away. The food was ok, pretty expensive for Middle Eastern food in DC.

My boss loves this place, so we ordered from it via Eat24 for a board meeting/dinner. After we placed the order, they called us to let us know they were out of wheat pita and make sure white was okay before processing our order. The order arrived on time, and the driver asked us to make sure we had everything. We were unfortunately missing 8 orders of fries, but we called the restaurant, and it sounds like it’s a problem with their menu not being quite up-to-date or clear on that platform. Anyway, I talked to the manager and they sent out our missing fries immediately, at no charge. Great service! Oh, and by the way, we all love the food. Delicious.

I actually had to throw my food away after the first few bites. The cauliflower was burnt yet soggy. The falafel tastes store bought and was also soggy because they doused it in copious amounts of some mysterious white sauce. The meats were dry and bland. The salad was made up of bottom of the barrel iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, onions and some type of homemade vinaigrette that didn’t quite cut it. The hummus was bitter and off putting. I mean the list goes on. Also the service wasnt anything to write home about. I placed an order for pickup. I ordered two platters that should have included rice. I get to the establishment and they’re still making my food(no big deal, I live five minutes away) but I noticed that the platters look small and there was no rice in sight. So when they started to wrap everything up I was a little confused. I had to ask them about the missing rice. The gentleman told me that they meant to tell me they were all out so they gave me extra lettuce instead smh. That wasn’t going to cut it for me so I told them to give me free French fries, which they did so I appreciate that. But the thing is why do I have to ask in the first place? I would have been even more disappointed if I didn’t catch that. So overall I would say the food was inedible and the service was just okay. I won’t be returning.

This is the the best Lebanese food I’ve ever had coast to coast! The chef is passionate about the food and the quality you cannot match. The chicken, the kafta and the shawarma wraps are amazing. I’ve tried many sandwiches and it’s hard to pick one over the other. If this is your first time you have to try the grilled chicken kabob. It is hard to find a Lebanese restaurant that maintains the authentic Lebanese flavors and grills the authentic Lebanese way. Other restaurants start improvising by adding non authentic ingredients to make things easier. But not at Micho’s. At Micho’s everything as authentic as it gets.

We came here looking for a dry place to eat a late dinner on a rainy evening and we found some friendly employees and a bit of food to sate our hunger. The menu is quite appealing, and I decided to get a trio of Lamb, Beef and Chicken so I could try it all. The Hummus, rice and salad were quite tasty, but the meats were a bit dry :( We got there at 8:40 so it was nearing the end of the night, thus maybe that is why the meats were dry… OR maybe my palate hasn’t adjusted to the East Coast Lebanese. Regardless, I’ll go back and try them again when I’m in the neighborhood!

This place has really yummy pita wraps. Basic kabob and shawarma and relatively cheap. But wow, I’m writing this while standing with 2 other people waiting on our food and it’s already been 20 minutes. I ordered one pita wrap. All of the food is sitting out uncovered and looks like it’s not to temperature at all. I don’t even see the guy making my pita. I think it’s because they deliver and they are backed up with delivery so they can’t make any of their in house orders. It’s not even packed. It’s empty. It’s a shame because the food isn’t half bad.

Clean, friendly service with a smile. And the food is awesome as well. My mom remarked that the wraps were not at all greasy or salty, something we really appreciate. Cauliflower wrap and chicken gyro wrap were both delicious, and the sandwiches with french fries inside them are also great. Go for the traditional tzatziki sauce. Great little neighborhood spot, and bonus points for free baklava with FB check-in.

Micho’s is a great alternative to the other«faster food» options in my neighborhood. I also appreciate that I can get affordable, tasty Lebanese food within walking distance of my home. It’s certainly not like, the best Lebanese food ever, but it’s a solid option when you’re tired of pizza/Taylor, and want to mix it up. The falafel can be a bit dry, but I recommend ordering the Micho’s dip to put on top(or asking for extra hummus, etc.). It definitely reminds me of the Middle Eastern takeout spots that are all over Europe — nothing super fancy, but solid food for a good price. The service is also always really friendly, which is a plus!

Perhaps I was a little over-excited by the prospect of proper Lebanese street food in DC; perhaps I’d been a little spoilt by the food in the Middle East. Either way, this was a let down. The chicken shawarma was generous, but the bread was dry and heated like a panini; not only was the bread already dry, but it was also heated ‘nashif’(without being dipped in meat juice), which didn’t make it any more moist. And what’s the point of heating the sandwich if it only comes out lukewarm? I ordered a fattoush as a side salad, which was a mistake. The ingredients had been thrown together, without any time for the flavours to mingle, and the copious amounts of onion overwhelmed the entire dish. Seriously, who puts onion in fattoush??? Insufficient dressing made this another dry disaster. I really wanted to like this place(if only because they serve Almaza). But they need to hire a proper mu3allim shawarma, otherwise it’s just another ‘ethnic’ snack joint rendered bland for the American palate.

As good as it get I’ve been to A few Lebanese fast food restaurants but micho’s is a step above I think it’s good food fast. Or more like very good food fast Real falafel not tameya golden brown falafel with light brown inside crunchy and full of flavor just the way I had it in a few places in lebanon Tahini sauce is so authentic I felt like grandma just made it I hat to brag but i have to praise The garlic sauce(toum) was so perfect and real I didn’t taste any mayonnaise, egg white or any other additives so white and fluffy Its like having garlic flavored whip cream the way it should be I even went a step further since I found the perfect garlic sauce and tried to mimic an old favorite a Lebanese French fry sandwich(since they didn’t offer it) it was pretty close I took a bite of my wife’s chicken shawarma sandwich and I felt like I was missing out Some times I wish I have a second stomach when I find places like this All iN all I think I saved a few dollars finding this pLace usually I travel or take long trips for a good food and micoh’s will be one of driving destination One last note the Lebanese Pilsner beer they serve is a must Almaza(the diamond) it sure tasted like one if a diamond had a Tast

Mixed reviews are probably reflective of this place and the expectations you have going in vs the experiences you’ve had with schwarma in the past. We came towards the end of the evening and so perhaps that’s why the meat was pretty dry… But yeah, like other reviewers have mentioned– the meat is pretty dry. Luckily it was drenched in yummy garlic paste and white sauce. The platter was pretty small compared to what you can get at other places for the same amount of money. The good deal was probably in the build your own wrap for $ 7.50. Choose either a wrap or salad/rice and add a meat and 4 veggies and a sauce topping. The wrap was made with a thinner pita bread and then pressed panini maker style and so there was a slight crunch to it. It got a little soggy towards the end but the first ¾ was solid. Not amazing. But solid. Nothing compared to some amazing shwarma I’ve had in other cities. Customer service wise– the owner walked around checking in on everyone and happily brought me some extra hot sauce which was a nice touch. If you’re looking for more authentic middle eastern food at a better price point then I think you should look elsewhere. But if you’re around the area and hankering for some schwarma then go ahead and give it a try.

Instead of having dinner out at a pricey restaurant, we stopped in here and got bowls of things that you get to select, including loads of vegetarian and healthy options. The service was very friendly and the prices reasonable and it was all very tasty and fresh. We also got some baklava and beers with it while we watched some Nascar races on the super large HD tvs!

Right after work on New Year’s Eve, my co worker and I were looking for quick and good food. When we learned that Indigo was not open, we ended up here. Sadly, I feel like I missed out. Our order was quickly taken, and we had to wait for other people to clear out before we could find a seat. Note: indoor seating is very limited. Our food took awhile(especially since nobody came in and ordered while we were waiting). So when my Shawarma platter arrived, I just knew it was going to be hot(temperature wise). Nope. The disappointment I felt when I bit into the chicken was overwhelming. Not only was it lukewarm, it was also really, really dry. I mixed it with some of the garlic paste(which was tasty) and that helped. But dry is dry is dry. And I’m not a fan of that. While I understand that presentation may not be top of mind at a place like this, my plate was messy and it looked like they had just thrown everything together. Everything else was good, but the food was neither amazing nor great. This may be good drunk food since it doesn’t close until 3 am on Friday or Saturday.

Things that make you go hmmm: most Elites have given Micho’s 2 – 3 stars. Most of the orangeheads have given 4 – 5 stars. So take the four star overall rating at your own risk; I smell a case of the fakes. Now for $ 7.50 the wrap is a decent deal. Seems like it’s hard to find even a fast food meal that’s under $ 10 these days. You get to pick your own toppings which is a nice touch and the fresh mint is a welcome option not available at most shwarma shops, but they are strict about letting you choose only four toppings. Compare Micho’s wrap to that at Shawafel just down H St — same price at $ 7.50 but Shawafel comes standard with more veggies, is fresher, and the same price — not to mention it’s a better facility(read: has A/C). Still, the price and flavor of the kofta wrap was a worthwhile meal. The shwarma, on the other hand, was beyond bland, unable to be saved even with fresh herbs. Even more disappointing than the shwarma meat was… everything else. The French fries were laughable — frozen sticks thrown into the fryer after pestering the cooks since we’d already gotten our other food, and taken out as greasy not-yet-fried mush. The gentleman behind the counter didn’t know his product well enough to know that the French fries were supposed to have herbs on them, despite it being clearly written on the menu overhead. The hummus was bland and covered in a thick layer of olive oil. At least one service issue that had changed from initial reviews and our visit was the pita that came with the hummus. It was single pieces of pita, quartered and placed into plastic baggies. I think the cook felt my stare of death as he picked up just one baggie… and grabbed a second before placing them on the tray. The bread seemed a bit stale and did nothing to help the flat hummus. The most memorable part of Micho’s though, was the heat — so thick with humidity and standing air that it felt like a summer day in Doha. It may not have been quite 120 degrees but the«feels like» temperature inside the restaurant definitely gave it a run for its money. I couldn’t see any duct work for A/C and there was no overhead fan. This is something that needs to change and change soon or this space will only be inhabitable eight months out of the year. If you’re on H St and hankering for a Middle Eastern style wrap, your best bet for product consistency is to head to Shawafel on a Monday from 4−6pm for $ 5 wraps. Really the only thing I can see that Micho’s has that its neighbor down the road doesn’t is booze and, well, there are plenty of other places to get that on H St!
