This club is absolutely disgusting. I went in there last weekend and there was a roach in my drink and one crawling on the bar. The bathrooms are always so dirty and the red floor smells so bad. My uncle used to have his company events at Dirty Bar and he confirmed how Michael Romero is known for such shady business. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Horrible &SHADY club, nasty & trashy. 4-Levels of trash, dirty, and small. Shady management, typical snakes. Everyone’s in it for themselves, classless people. More like a low-level frat house. Sound system on rooftop is horrible. No lighting throughout the club, it’s just a dump with the lights dim. Setup is old and outdated, flights of stairs that takes a mile to get the next floor, and the floors get worse going up. Crammed stairways, Your better off not going here, don’t waste your time. Why would you want to go to a place that looks like trash, and that has shady management on top of that. Stay away! Probably one of the worst clubs/lounges in the area! People pay to come inside your club, and you treat them with disrespect, little do you low-IQ people know, that the only reason you and the«trash-hole» club makes money, is by the people. The other reviews pretty much sum it up, and are accurate, how can so many people give this place a bad rating? its because its true, its a trash-hole spot. The entire management have no respect, starting from the disrepectful owner Michael Romeo(fake name btw), and the shady bald guy Ramon Ramirez do not know how to manage this filthy place. Look elsewhere, because shady thieves and scumbags run this place, they will try to screw you over every way possible.

Legit the SHADIEST place I’ve ever been to in my life. I was with a group of friends who were unfortunately too drunk to care(while I don’t drink, and am always sober but love going to different bars and nightclubs for the ambiance, fun, and various personalities of the places) — we were bar hopping for my friends birthday but when we got here, I took it as my rightful cue to leave.

Oh god!!! NYE2016 is a horrible experience. They sold out the tickets beyond capacity and more than 200 people were waiting outside on a chilling cold.

Avoid this club at all costs. Management is unprofessional and unethical. My friends and I purchased tickets for their New Years Eve 2016 event, some of us purchasing the $ 85 open-bar option, and we didn’t even get in. We got there at 10PM and the line was all the way down the block and we ended up waiting until 1AM before leaving and going home. What an absolute joke. How can management oversell tickets to such an extent that we were waiting 3HOURS in the cold? On top of that, they had no line management whatsoever, people were cutting and congregating in mobs at the entrance — why did the bouncers not spread out and manage the line — what did management expect on NYE? I requested a refund and received a mass email from their assistant manager, Jason Rehman, basically making excuses and refusing to issue a refund. I emailed him back politely and never got a response. I also emailed their general manager, Ramon Ramirez, and, again, no response. Does management think ignoring their customers will make them go away? It is no wonder this club has gone downhill in recent years — their management is clearly immature and lack business sense. They made a mistake, they needed to rectify it. Avoid this club if you don’t want to be schemed out of your money.

This place is a total rip off. My girlfriend and I decided to go here for NYE and purchased our tickets beforehand. We arrived at 10 figuring we would be inside by 12, because it really shouldn’t take longer than 2 hours to get into a club when you have a ticket. It hurts me to say we spent 3 hours in line in 30 degree weather and STILLDIDN’T get in. I understand long lines are an issue for large events, but management clearly didn’t do anything at all to prepare for NYE despite having«sold out» of every ticket option they had available. There was no type of rope in place to control the line and it ended up getting packed at the door from all the people just walking up trying to bypass the line. We spent our last 45 mins in line only 25 feet from the door and never moved an inch. Finally we decided to just cut our loses and head home. Never again.

NYE2017 Tip: I would not recommend buying Midtown’s NYE celebration tickets ahead of time. Extremely disorganized, there was not a separate line for ticket holders and non-ticket holders(if you purchased tickets and did not get in, I would consider contacting your bank to see your options – imagine buying a ticket to an event and not being able to attend). There was a major issue with crowd control – at one point, the crowd towards the front of the line was packed like sardines and there was lots of pushing going on, creating a potentially risky situation. It was just as packed in the hallways(people were unable to move) – capacity limits are there for a reason, to keep patrons safe. Once inside, we were able to get drinks pretty easily throughout the night which was a plus. We wanted to use coat check but we were informed that it was filled to capacity. The music selection could have been a bit more diverse – Reggaeton for 80% of the night but we were so relieved to be out of the cold that we had a good time dancing. Midtown has several floors to party on – however the top level was closed for a private party, so they had to cram revelers into two floors. After 12:30, the crowd started to die down and we left just before 1:30 a.m. This place was pretty fun a few years ago, but after yesterday’s experience I doubt I will be coming back. D.C. is full of plenty of bars and clubs that are better-equipped to handle holiday crowds. By the way, the infamous ‘pole’ appears to be gone now :)

Love this place!!! The people at the door and The security are very friendly. I come here on Saturday nights sometimes and it’s always live! It’s a great place to throw a birthday party. Me my fiancé and his sister all had our birthday parties here and each time we request tables on the second floor by the bar you get a bottle of champagne with each table and we also get wrist bands where you can drink all night for a flat price. Only thing I hate is that you can only get bud light as the«wrist band» beer when it use to be corona. I also think that the dress code should be s little better. Last time I was there I saw a woman that looked homeless with sweatpants on and messy hair. Can somebody say EYESORE. Not what I want prancing around In front of me while I’m in my little Vip area hosting an event.

Decided to try a new spot with my girls on a Friday night. We got there around 11:30ish and paid $ 5 to get in with an option to pay $ 20 for open bar drinks all night. We went upstairs and was greeted with your typical top 40 music. I usually prefer hip-rop and rap so my friends and danced a little, grabbed some drinks, and just chilled until they opened up the second floor. Apparently this is the floor where they play trap music lol. They finally opened up the top floor(idk what was taking so long –__-) and we finally got our Future fix. The music was good though it was more trap then twerk. Actually, there wasn’t much«twerk» music though you can twerk effectively to trap if you get what I mean. lol. It kind of reminded me of Bar 7 after 10. a step up from a kickback but not sooo much dancing that it was a full blown club. My friend ordered some hookah and that was pretty cool. They replace the coals for you all night long which was awesomeee and the hookah guy made sure we were good the entire night. My friend got the $ 20 open bar deal which means we were all drinking good All in all, it was cool. It’s free for ladies before 11 but for $ 5, we had fun. My friend got the $ 20 open bar deal which means we were allll drinking good haha. It’s not my favorite place in the world but I would definitely come back here again if I was in a chill party mood.

Went back to get a table here for my birthday simply because I love this place that much. Our server«jessica or jess» was phenomenal. Make sure you request her if you happen to want a table on the rooftop for a night. I challenged her to get me drunk. She was very good at it. She is polite, fun, and easy to look at. All of the ladies there are also attractive which is a plus for guys. The DJ was on point(mix of hip hop and edm). They have extremely affordable tables but the drinks at the bar make up for the cover being free because they aren’t cheap. But hey thats typical of DC. I give this place a perfect rating and still my favorite place in dc. Big thanks to Jessica and crew! :-)

I went to Midtown last night with a few friends. we got there a little early so the bar was not crowded except for a bachelorette party in the corner. As time goes by, it gets more packed. The music was fun and the rooftop was nice. My complaint and the reason for the one star was the difference in pricing for drinks for various customers. I had ordered a Bud Light and paid $ 7 plus tip for it from Amber in the lower bar. I ordered them twice and was charged $ 7 each time. My friends however were only charged $ 6 for a Bud Light from Amber. I would like to know why my Bud Light was $ 1 more. I ordered one on the roof and paid $ 6 plus tip from Heather. I will not be back and would like to know why there is a price difference.

This place used to be a really fun night life spot in Dupont. They used to have a rule where to get in you had to have at least an even number of guys to girls or just be part of a group of girls. A group of guys would have to pay 20/guy to get in. That was the 4 star midtown lounge. A place I could go that had a good vibe and I really enjoyed myself. These days it seems to be packed with too many grabby fellas that ruin the vibe. The music is good and varies from edm to hip hop to top 40. It’s a good place to go with a mixed group. The 1st floor varies, 2nd floor is usually the hip hop floor, 3rd floor is hookah with electronic music. Lately whenever I stop by this place seems more empty than packed. The crowd seems less classy than it used to be. They do have a dance pole and it can be pretty entertaining to watch. Expect DC drink prices and DC club atmosphere. IMO a good nightlife venue has good music, dancing, good drinks, cool venue and a social atmosphere. Here’s my rating scale for Midtown Music: 4⁄5 Dancing: 2⁄5 Drinks: 2.5÷5 Venue: 3.5÷5 Social Atmosphere: 1.5÷5 Stop by, check it out. I’d say coin flip odds on whether you’ll have a good time or want to leave.

I’m giving this place 3 stars only because of it’s rooftop patio. Everything else is less than mediocre. This is really not my go-to spot, but it’s located right there in DuPont circle area. Drinks flowing, good music blasting, it was an ok place to be at that time. There are 3 levels each have a different taste for music. Went around 11pm only the rooftop seemed packed. Overall, it’s just ok.

Midtown is a three story dance club that: 1. plays hip hop 2. has sticky floors(ew) 3. serves typical bar drinks with typical prices 4. has an interesting/questionable crowd 5. is quite spacious since half the upstairs wasn’t filled up on a Friday night Knock back a few drinks, get a little buzzed, and none of the cons of this place will matter!

I came to Midtown Loft on a Saturday night and it was ok. The club has plenty of space so you won’t be trampled on. The drinks were very strong and got me feeling right after 2 drinks(I did drink before I got there so that helped too). The music was good hip hop and old school hip hop. They did have a dance pole up on the stage so I had to give it a try. The club has a basement feel so I gave it a total of 3 stars. They did have valet parking also for $ 20. The people in the club were blah, lol I would have enjoyed a much better crowd. The pictures posted online look better then the actual club.

This bar has multiple dance floors(3 total). I didn’t experience the rooftop, but I checked out the first and second dance floors. The first one had a stage in the middle with some poles with numerous women shaking their stuff… Second floor was a bit different and dancing was a little more risqué for a lack of a better term… My friends and I didn’t even check out the rooftop although I am curious now that I think about it. It was hiphop music, which is a change of environment from«The Manor» which was all Dubstep. This bar is spacious and enough room to move around and dance. You aren’t heating up and didn’t feel like I was in a sauna plus there were places to sit! However, their drinks are overpriced and watered down. Only one of us ordered a drink and it was not very good… We stayed for about half an hour before deciding to leave. One too many creepers …

Worst place ever!!! Immature bouncers beating up innocent people only to say they are sorry and let them back in. Good music but the speakers suck and make everything rattle. You can hear the windows rattling badly from outside even.

This place is nasty. Reviews remain pretty consistent when it comes to this place, unfortunately. To get to the top, you have to climb 4 flights of stairs. Though I do not mind stairs, I do mind stick stairs where my shoes get stuck and you can’t ascend the steps without trouble, and I am not talking about trouble from exercising. Drinks are super weak. I paid $ 6 for happy hour prices and it was completely watered down with juice and not alcohol. They do have a $ 10 minimum for credit cards which isn’t too bad. The upstairs rooftop is where the happy hour I attended was held. I did enjoy the seating booths they had available, but the bathroom is a completely different story. The bathroom is like using an outdoor privy! The floor is wood beams and you can look down and see underneath the floor. You can imagine doing your business and look down and see someone looking up at you!!! They are small slit cracks; still enough for me to make out what was beneath me. Likely I won’t return. Just no…

Not the best place around, but it’s full of variety. Every level has different music, but there are so many promoters and perverts there it is slightly uncomfortable to be there for a long time. The VIP tables here are overpriced, but they serve you great liquor. Their service is good too. I’d recommend this bar if it’s your first time clubbing in DC.

This spot was A-OK in my book. One of my gfs is a bartender here(RITA– the gorgeous one that usually rocks a red corset) and she hooked it up– strong gooooooood drinks! There are a few levels which makes it fun– a diverse crowd comes here and it was pretty crowded! Overall i had a great time and would def come back!
