I actually just paid 7.25 for the worst Fattoush salad I’ve ever had. They literally just drowned lettuce in lemon dressing. They didn’t even bother to add vegetables like cucumber or tomato. This is a gross hole in the wall with the lowest quality food

I definitely was not hungry, but I had the midnight munchies after going to the club during my visit to DC. My host gave the perfect suggestion. FOOD Kinder Crêpe: wow. please– if you like chocolate, go get it. The crêpe is served perfectly shaped at the bottom of a rectangular plastic to go box that is way too deep for its contents. The first bite is first love, though, so I won’t judge the amount of plastic wasted. Warm, gooey, lightly speckled with sugary dust – just enough for the texture on your tongue. Shawarma: I can’t remember if it was chicken or beef, but it was delicious. Lettuce, meat, lots of sauce, and french fries! It was warm and juicy. The spices tasted different than any other shawarma I’ve had. It was very saucy — which i like– but it was also very greasy. LOCATION The shop itself oddly reminds me of a Nickelodeon Kid’s Studio. It is painted bright blue and has so many levels… like stairs, everywhere. SERVICE Los of people waiting by the cash register to get their food to go. It was a little hectic. I don’t have too many comments as I did not sit down in the restaurant. It doesn’t seem like it can fit too many people, though. Oh, and the food did take a while to make. But dat kinder crêpe doe… it was worth it!!! Overall, I am not sure that I would recommend this restaurant for a full meal. It is an amazing place, however, for snacks and small bites to go. My encounter with this establishment was too brief. Can’t wait to go back to DC for round 2!

Came here for lunch on a weekday afternoon. The exterior is painted a really bright aquamarine and really catches your eye. It’s kind of cramped on the inside, with a bench area parallel to the cashier counter and a larger table located towards the back of the store. You order at the cash register and pick your own seating. The service was meh. I felt rushed when ordering, but my food was ready in a reasonable amount of time(there also wasn’t much of a line though). I got the chicken schwarma and my friend got a ham and cheese crêpe with a mint lemonade. My chicken schwarma was good. The chicken wasn’t dry, the pita was nice and warm, and the flavors went well together. My only major complaint would be that my sandwich became really soggy and greasy with all the sauces and fries they loaded in the pita. The ham and cheese crêpe was decent; not the best, but also not the worst crêpe I’ve tried. And the mint lemonade was BOMB, so refreshing on a hot summer day! Overall, a solid place for a quick meal. Well-priced for the portion sizes and the food isn’t too shabby!

1. They don’t answer the phone when you call 2. There’s no ventilation in this place, it’s extremely hot and the cooks are very sweaty 3. The customer service is appalling It’s sad that the customer service sucks here, being that I’m in customer service doesn’t help them either, maybe I just have a higher expectation. The unfortunate part is that the food is actually decent. That’s why I’m giving it 3 stars. I will not take away from the food due to inadequate service. However I will not be going back to this place.

I was a regular customer here and I always order beef Shwarma. The last three times, the meat was really dry and the pita smelled kinda bad. I believe they took people loyalty for granted.:( Because i love this place, the first time this happened I said maybe it is only this time. Then again and the third time made me write this review. I would never go back here«third time is the charm» I wont lie, six months ago this was my favorite shwarma place in the DMV area. i guess I will have to look for another restaurant.

Honestly, it’s hit or miss. The first time I had their fattoush, I was sold but time number 2 was disappointing. It had way way too much dressing and olive oil. The chicken shawarma was dry and with very little garlic sauce. The beef shawarma was decent though. It had a ton of tahini if you’re into that. The small mezze items taste stale. I like the zaatar but that’s it. The crepes were hit or miss too. The first time we tried the butter and cinnamon it was great but not so much second time. The Nutella crêpe is decent as well. The restaurant itself is cute but relatively limited space. It’s located in the heart of Georgetown so get ready for traffic. They offer delivery thru über eats and other third party companies. Overall, it’s worth it to at least try muncheez once or twice but the quality is not consistent.

Pros: The chicken shawarma is cooked appropriately and I’m full for $ 8. Cons: I also feel quite nauseated. Although the chicken wasn’t bad, it also wasn’t juicy. Muncheez is missing many of the traditional shawarma toppings, and the garlic whip is unfortunately not good. This is clearly a place to go for drunk food.

Best. Manakeesh. Ever. In The DMV area, of course. Mankoushe, singular of Manakeesh, is a flatbread of sorts. The Zaatar is especially magnificent! I recommend ordering two. One with all the toppings and one without. I dare you not to lick the paper they came wrapped in. I’ve been away from Lebanon for four years and had been missing Manakeesh until I found Muncheez! The shawarma is also delicious! And they’re open late and deliver to a wide range of places… so much love for them!

It’s the only place around Georgetown — M street, that’s open late and provides you with the options of having chicken shawarma and crepes generally till 4.00 am over the weekends! The shawarma is OK, it’s nothing great, but the Nutella crepes are fabulous

It was not good… go here if you want to eat cheap after spending big bucks on the bars around Georgetown. I had the beef shawarma, it was kind of dry and tasteless and man I love beef shawarma! :( Price is reasonable, location is great for a cheap eat in Georgetown… but the food could be improved. Lebanese food is one of my favorites because the flavors are intense and fresh. I couldn’t find neither in my food.

Maybe I just didn’t get the right thing. It seems like everyone is raving about their crepes, but I was seriously hating on their beef shawarma. Maybe it was the meat or just the weird flavors that they put into the wrap, or the wrap itself, but something was majorly off and not tasty about this wrap. Friend also thoroughly did not enjoy their tabboleh and we both agreed their fries were nothing to rave about. He kind of liked the falafel… which was the only redeeming thing about this food… Think they might want to just make crepes and stop making other things… just an idea. Might try the crêpe next time if I were to ever come back. Also the place is really small and they are still doing construction. doing a bit too much perhaps.

I didn’t like their beef shawerma. Their chicken shawerma was okay. The garlic whip is nothing to write home about. I am giving it 3 stars just because of their crepes, especially the kinder crêpe. If I want shawerma, there are better places but if I want a really good crêpe, this is the place to be in. Note that the place is very small so the seats are limited.

La la love this place! It’s about a few short blocks from my place in DC. So quite helpful for me. I pretty much always get the same thing which is the kinder crêpe. I’ve always loved that European chocolate but to be shoved into a warm crêpe makes it even better. Plus they designed this place super cute & edgy! Love it!

After some shopping around Georgetown, I decided to grab a quick bite at Muncheez. I was lucky that I just missed the lunch rush, so I had time to read the entire menu before making a decision. The vibe of the restaurant is hip, but not exactly welcoming. It’s a quick grab and go, in my opinion. After reading rave reviews, I decided to go with the beef shawarma. The sandwich was delicious! Served on a pita, the shawarma is filled with pickles, tomatoes, tahini, and a onion and parsley mix. It was made to order, and it tasted incredibly fresh. My only complaint is that it was smaller than I imagined when I placed my order. Overall, the taste was great! Great little place to grab a quick bite! Heads up, they deliver and do take out!

We went there on the snow day in January 2016, when almost everything in town seemed to be closed. But Muncheez was open and a falafel wrap was just the thing after a long walk in the snow! My wrap was delicious and filling. The seating area could be a bit cleaner but the staff were really friendly and I enjoyed my food a lot. Props to them for opening despite the snow!

My friend and I went here for food after drinking at a bar on Water street. We decided to go here since it was a short walk up Wisconsin and we needed food to sober us up. We shared the shawarma and it was pretty good, but the food portions are smaller than what is served at Moby Dick’s. Anyhow, if you need a late night snack, Muncheez is one of the places to go.

No ice cream, no whipped cream, no powdered sugar, no jam, no honey, no more than one type of fruit. Holy moooly. That is too expensive. And it is not like the place is particularly cute, hip, lovely, fresh, or homey to draw someone back.

MUNCHEEZ. Where have you been all my life? Solid Lebanese food in Georgetown. The name threw me off, but I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. I got the chicken shawarma at the recommendation of another patron. There’s an extensive menu of shawarmas, pizzas, mezzes, and more. It’s a small shop, but they churn out food quickly and freshly. The open kitchen makes me feel better about seeing what’s going into my food. Now about the food… SCORE. The combination of chicken, garlic, pepperoncini, and fries(yes, fries) was perfect. *DONTFORGETTOASKFORHOTSAUCE. It’s house-made, lots of flavor without being super spicy. I wanted to buy bottles of this stuff. Muncheez might sound like a late night joint for stoned college kids, but tourists and business folk alike will love this place!

I had the falafel wrap for dinner at Muncheez tonight. It was alright — about on par with George’s King of Falafel but well short of Amsterdam Falafel in Adams Morgan. The seating is limited and kind of unpleasant so it is a better place for takeout. I’m on the fence about returning since there are a lot of quick service places in Georgetown that I think offer better value for the money, but this place is OK. Maybe good for a quick bite before or after a movie.

Another wonderful Unilocal discovery! After a very, I repeat VERY filling dinner I deemed it necessary to find dessert at 10:30pm on a Sunday night. The open now filter and high reviews guided me down back alleys to Muncheez. First, their is a food truck outside, a sign of success! Inside, the art is on point! Each wall is covered with beautiful, vibrant murals. Second, the staff were entirely welcoming. I walked in clueless having never been to a Lebanese restaurant. They were chatty, answered all our questions and weren’t creeped out as we stared at everything they were doing in awe! If I had any room in my belly I would have tried a shawarma but realistically I didn’t even have room for the crêpe I was about to destroy Ready? A Nutella Crêpe, with strawberries and bananas. Omg omg. I don’t care if it was $ 9. It was absolutely delicious. We watched the guy make it in his little crêpe station and I snapped approx 20 pictures(not weird at all.) My date and I sat and ate every last bite of that crêpe. I got to the point where a button on my blouse popped, but i couldn’t, and wouldn’t stop. Needless to say, Muncheez is awesome, and when I return to DC I intend to ravage through that enticing menu!

Quick service and they have an open kitchen so everything is made right in front of you. Workers are very courteous and explain everything on the menu with ease. The kinder crêpe is to die for. It is basically a crêpe filled with kinder chocolate which is a German chocolate. Do yourself a favor and get extra kinder pieces inside your crêpe. This crêpe had me coming back every other day it is too delicious. Hot crêpe exterior with warm oozing chocolate on the inside.

I ordered the Chicken Schawarma wrap on Über Eats, so it was kinda cold by the time I got it — which is fine. Doesn’t bother me and I kind of expected it.(In case you’re wondering, the total was $ 8.80 — includes food, tip, delivery.) So… The wrap was kinda meh. The meat was dry and I kinda felt like I was eating more wrap than filling. The pickles and garlic sauce were good, but I only got that every 3rd or 4th bite, and I finished the wrap in about 10 bites or so, so kinda sad. The size of the wrap was a little smaller/thinner than I expected, so better as a snack than a meal. Hoping this place is better in person an maybe the other dishes are better.

This is the best a shawarma can get in the states. There are many quick middle eastern places in DC but none of them are like this one! The quality of the meats they use is very good to what I have usually seen. I also think the owner personally runs the place which guarantees quality ! Update: I had a 5 star rating but the last few times I went the service is horrible especially when the owner is not there. I ordered take out once and it was a single crep order and it took me forever to pay because the cashier took so long to wait on payment he just assumed I’m a new order so he was picking up the phone and was extremely disorganized in general. I called in 10 minutes prior for a pickup, and the place was almost empty there was no reason to take so long. I might be back for the crep because it’s great but I’m not impressed with the service at all. I’ll update if my experience change since I live close.

I’ll pose to you a story. Let us assume you have a peanut allergy. Although an item on the menu contains peanuts added to it, you request that this particular dish not contain peanuts. The provider clarifies that you don’t want peanuts, and then provides you the final product stating that it does not contain peanuts. You bite into it and hear the crunch of a peanut. A slightly less dramatic situation took place just now. Though I don’t have a tomato allergy(well, not a severe one anyway. Not like a peanut allergy), I requested the beef shawarma contain no tomatoes. The request was confirmed before the order was recorded and again once the order was given to me. I only realized it had tomatoes once I bit into it and tasted — and then saw — the tomatoes. These wraps are closed all around, so it’s not exactly possible to know what you’re biting into until you take it back and unwrap it anyway, so you’re kinda relying on faith that your order was in fact obeyed. Anyway, the wrap was fantastic. Five stars for the food. Minus one star because 8.80 can buy me a larger shawarma wrap elsewhere. Minus three more stars because a mistake like the one I just described can actually kill somebody. If you don’t have any specific food allergy concerns, by all means eat here. However, if food allergies are your reality, then you should probably look somewhere else. Let’s see how the rest of my day goes.

Came here for some late night eating! Hehe. This place was pretty happenin’ around 1am or so. I had their four cheese manakeesh, which was super hot and delicious! I probably could have passed on the nutella crêpe, but I was getting greedy, haha: P. It was ok, but I did like how they cut it up into little pieces for you. The workers are super friendly, btw.

Four starts are def for the Nutella Crepes. Most delish sweet thing ever. Hubby gets strawberry banana and I get plain! Chicken shwarma platter was O-k. Dry, little unflavored and not presented cute at all. It was a great snack but could have had more taste for being $ 12+. Hope to go back to try pizza and gyro! Def going back for the crepes :)

Get the strawberry nutella crêpe and fresh watermelon juice! Such a nice treat on a hot day. The chicken shawarma and beef shawarma are tasty and satisfying. The meat is carved off of huge spit rods fresh with every order. The beef shawarma is my favorite, as it has more veggies than the chicken, but both are yummy and wrapped in a rich and chewy pita. Service is very sweet, as well. My only complaint, and the reason for 3 instead of 4 stars, is the foul smell of the place. The food is great — I would definitely come again — but I will probably get my order to go.

From the exterior of the restaurant, I could tell it had an artsy vibe. On the inside, there were plenty of wall murals that transformed the small room. I ordered the chicken shawarma which tasted similar to a gyro. It had fries in it but I couldn’t really taste it inside the wrap. I’d have to come back for the curly fries!

I tried the Nana’s original(6.35), shawarma chicken($ 8), and beef shawarma($ 8) this week, and liked it in that order. Nana was the most flavorful because of the labneh, olives, thyme, olive oil and their use of perfectly fire-burned thin flat bread. The chicken shawarma needed sriracha for flavor like others mentioned. The beef is good if you like tahini. I learned I no longer enjoy tahini because it is too overpowering. The interior is cheerier than Pita Spot, and the people behind the counter are fast and efficient. Lots of bright colors and you are greeted by an array of colorful fresh juices upon entering. Usually busy with people getting carry out, ordering crepes at their outer window, and dining in one of the booth spot or mini tables towards back of the room. Even though the place is small and cramped, I had a great time enjoying delicious food with good service.

I stumbled across this gem while walking around Wisconsin ave. i am glad i went in. This place serves one of the best shawarma(if not the best) in the DMV area. I tried the beef and it was delicious. My friend got the chicken and it was delicious too. The meat quality was amazing. The portion is enormous one shawarma is good. It’s good for its price. The place was clean but small, if you couldn’t find a seat just grab your food to go and walk couple of minutes towards the Washington harbor. The owner and staff were friendly and chatty . If you are around and a meat eater walk by and get you a nice lunch/diner.

Fantastic fast food place! Perfect for a late night snack! They have the best chicken shawarma in the city! It’s as good as your getting it from Beirut or turkey! Yeah that AUTHENTIC!!! I’ve also tried their meat and spinach pie and both were delicious! The crêpe was good too! The Curley French fries! I don’t know why it’s so popular here. But personally don’t like it! It’s frozen Curley fries soaked in oil! Tasteless. The owner is very friendly, welcoming and so proud of what he makes… He’s always up to give you something to taste! It is a hassle to find parking… And during the weekend that tiny spot could get extremely packed after party… But it’s worth it! You wouldn’t get better food anywhere at that time
