I had the Chicken salad bowl. There was a lot of chicken for $ 10 but it was dry and the sauce was just hot and not particularly flavorful. It gave me heartburn

Are you kidding me with these tacos? You get one food truck rolling down the hill grilling chicken in the back. and they whip out these amaaaazing pulled chicken tacos like yeah. NBD. I dont know what’s going on in that truck but everything is so so good! Right off the bat you see the chicken on the rotisserie and see that amazing color and know that they’ve been getting some love in there. the marinade on these birds is spot on! then they’ve got this giant as couldron of perfectly cooked and seasoned basmati rice. the kind your mom busts out right before the whole fam squad is about to show up for a mehmooni. but it doesnt end there… they’ve got this whole array of «sides» at your disposal. Basil coleslaw? cucumber salad with raspberry vinaigrette? Salad sherazi? Rosemary roasted potatoes? What is going on here? Did I mention this is a foodtruck… not a sit down restaurant in the middle of dupont circle? Yeah. if it’s not gonna stop them for busting out the guns it aint stopping us. This isnt just your average chicken taco. the jalepeno cilantro hot sauce, the roasted corn. the beans. every single item that they top off your tacos with shows that they genuinely care about the quality of food they’re dishing out to you. So if you see them driving around, flag them down and demand to have food shoved down your gullet. they’re that good!.

The chicken rice bowl, with corn, beans and lettuce was really good. $ 10 is definitely a lot, but I guess that’s your average food truck price. The bbq sauce was my highlight though: great flavor, more sweet than spicy, and worked really well with the salad. Love it. My only complaint is: I wish they would have left the skin on the chicken. Or maybe ask — because I love rotisserie chicken with broiled skin. Maybe next time.

I have eaten here a few times but yesterday I had a pretty terrible experience. I hate to give them a bad review because these guys are pretty nice. I ordered the salad bowl. The chicken in it looked kind of pink but I ate it anyway not really realizing the consequences. Well I definitely got extremely sick. I won’t be going back.

I ate here again recently. The good quality has gone down considerably. The chicken is dry and left me feeling uneasy after the meal. I had to call out of work for the remainder of the day. Eat at your own discretion.

I really enjoyed my lunch from the Ooh Dat truck at NoMa today. I had the ¼ chicken white with rice, beans and collard greens. All of the food was deliciously. The collards were on point! The customer service at this truck is always top notch and the guys always make me smile for some reason or the other during the transaction. I highly recommend them!

I saw their truck at Taste of DC and ordered the Chicken Sliders. As soon as I received them I noticed right away on how nice the portion sizes were! The chicken was so juicy and tender. It had a perfect kick to it as well, not spicy or blend, just perfect. I will definitely seek them out and try the rest of there menu because I was amazed by their sliders!

Standing in line to order some food after a monument tour. My brother in law pulls his phone out to tag me in a post saying that we just were at the Washington monument. The jerk in the truck says«oh checking Unilocal?Go fuck yourselves!!» What kind of hospitality is that? Kids are standing in front of him when this happens. DONOTEATHERE This guy is a total schmuck

I wish I could have eaten from this place, but I was checking my Facebook while standing in the line, and the employee noticed me looking at my phone. He said loudly, «checking out Unilocal?Go f*** yourself!» So I checked the Unilocal, and went elsewhere.

We were really excited that Ooh Dat Chicken was coming to our pool for«food truck Friday». But to be honest we were a bit disappointed. Apparently they had cancelled with our organizers twice. When they did show up they showed a little late. They seemed to be out of the sauces shown in the pictures and there was no rice. The portions were smaller than pictured. We had the salad bowl. It was nothing spectacular. We also had the rotisserie chicken which came with black beans and a side salad. It was good but seemed to be lacking spices. The tacos were the best of what we ordered but again not over the top. Overall the experience was average.

This truck was at NoMa movie night and was the only truck open that accepted credit cards. I got the chicken rice bowl. Chicken was juicy but for $ 10 I would have expected a little more chicken and a little less rice. Rice was fluffy. Salad blend topped the chicken. Sour cream drizzle. The side sauce was a variation of a honey mustard and was nothing to write home about. I love rotisserie chicken but there was nothing special about this chicken to make it want me to try it again.

Love their food! My company has had this food truck come to our location several times and it is always my favorite. My favorite is the chicken bread and the lime and mint salad. The chicken is marinated and seasoned perfectly.

their chicken, rice and corn is the bomb. This was my first time eating at this truck, the service is quick unlike the others trucks that give you number to wait in line. This food was fresh and hot off the grill with very little wait time. The guys on the truck were very friendly and social. I brought my leftovers home for husband, because they give you a lot of food for your money. My husband even said that the food bomb… I will eat here again… happy full first timer

Fresh chicken. Loved the tangy barbecue sauce and rice. You have to check this truck out. My friend with OCD loved their food. She is very picky.

i expected it to be better. it was average. not a fan on the basil slaw. mine seemed to only have 1 type of cabbage, unlike the photos and other reviews on Unilocal. the BBQ sauce was good. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again. i should have tried the tacos instead.

ODC is one of my favorite’s when in NOMA. The blend of spices meld into the chicken is a work of quality and care. The chicken goes great with any of the sides. It’s as if there’s an alchemist at work creating the great sensation my mouth is watering for. ODC health factor and quality of ingredients is what draws me in. Lovin the BBQ and the green hot sauce.

Ooh Dat Chicken has great rotisserie chicken. As advertised, their chicken«is marinated in a signature blend of spices, herbs, and peppers for over 42 hours and slowly cooked on an open flame rotisserie.» The chicken is marinated well, tender and they give great portions. They also have very flavorful sauces like their special bbq sauce to add to the chicken. I also enjoyed the corn that was marinated in garlic. Although it comes with white rice, even that is seasoned and has a good flavor. You can get a quarter chicken with rice and one side for $ 8 or an entire half chicken, rice and 1 side for $ 12. It’s a food truck so you have to use their twitter or the Food Truck Fiesta side to find out their location.

This is a great no frills food truck that does only thing but it does it really well. I ordered the half chicken which comes with rice and one side. The chicken is very well seasoned with traditional latin american spices and the skin is golden crispy goodness. The white meat was moist and tender and the dark meat not overcooked. The basil garlic cole slaw is refreshing and light. If you are a peruvian style chicken fan then dont pass by this truck without stopping.

Rotisserie chicken is the bomb, especially Ooh Dat Chicken’s! It was smokin hot outside today and I was the third person in line. I ordered the ¼ white meat with the sauteed corn with garlic. After ordering, I was told that the chicken wasn’t quite ready yet, it would be a couple minutes. Okay, fine, not a problem. A couple more minutes went by and it still wasn’t done. Gentlemen inside popped his head out and said it would be a few more minutes BUT gave everyone in line(6 people) a cold bottle of water for waiting. I thought that was nice! Once back at the office, I sink my teeth into a succulent chicken breast! Flavor was on point and I didn’t feel the need to dip it into the bbq. Unlike most other reviews, I wasn’t really a fan of the sauce! Rice was good, corn was good — almost a little too garlicky. I’ll be on the look out for this truck from now on!

3.25 stars. Ooh Dat Chicken is marinated well! Ooh Dat Chicken is filling! Ooh Dat Chicken is cheap! Ooh Dat Chicken is a bit too dry. This could be a one-time occurrence as it appears that nearly everyone finds the chicken to be rather juicy, or, perhaps it is relegated only to the white meat chicken, as Jennifer D’s review suggests. In any event, the problem is mostly solved by liberally coating each bite with their honey mustard BBQ. Sides and service are both winners here. Perhaps next time I’ll stick to dark meat or try their chicken tacos, but I like the potential of this three year old operation.

Ooh Dat Chicken is the BEST rotisserie chicken in DC! The chicken is so freaking good. The sauces are incredible.(Try the cilantro based hot sauce.) The gentleman that cook the food and operate the truck are very friendly and fast. They understand how to cook chicken and how to please their customers! They post their location on twitter, so right before I head to lunch, I check to see where they are! If you don’t know about Ooh Dat or haven’t tried it, ya need to.

Well… I meant to take a picture of my lunch. Really, I did. But… it was gone too fast… Today was my second time at Ooh Dat. Both times I’ve ordered the same thing — a quarter dark meat with one side. It comes with basmati rice(which you can sub out for a different side) and a choice of a salad, coleslaw, and corn. I’ve chosen the coleslaw both times — I find it so unique, with its cabbage and basil-like dressing. Definitely NOT your usual slaw. I will try the corn one of these days, though. On to the chicken — They give you a good amount of chicken and it is very, very juicy. I can’t comment about the skin(I don’t eat the skin, I take it off… I know to some of you that’s a sin!) but my co-workers have previously commented that it is nicely seasoned. They also provide you with a mild barbeque sauce, and today they gave me a new sauce, which was curry-based. It’s slightly thicker than the barbeque sauce, which while it has good flavor, is a bit thinner(it complements, not overpowers, the chicken). I alternated between both sauces today. I have to also complement the owner/manager — I had exactly $ 8 in cash(keep forgetting about the taxes for food trucks!) so he let me go without paying the $.80, that was really nice of him. I’ll be sure to give it back to him next time! Overall, a solid, filling meal, and I would return!

I got a half chicken today. These guys are very friendly, and this is some of the best chicken that I’ve had. It’s hard to make chicken taste outstanding, but these guys get it. Think — Super Chicken but even better. The spicy mango sauce(I believe?) was outstanding and the basil coleslaw was some of the best that I’ve had. $ 11 for a half chicken is a bit pricey, but that’s food trucks for you.
