Worst Papa Johns ever!!! Waited 2 hours for two large pies. Called twice to inquire about the pizza, first time I was told it left already. Second time, now two hours later, I was told by someone with zero customer service skills that he was right outside, which was a lie. I asked could I have some type of compensation for the long wait time and was flat out told no. To add insult to injury, one of the pizza’s was delivered with absolutely NO sauce on the entire pizza? If I could give zero stars I would. Too bad there isn’t a cooperate number to call.

Hands down the WORST Papa John’s in the city. They will get your on-line/app order wrong and blame you or the app even though you have an email confirmation of the proper order AND the sticker on the box has the right order. They still claimed they made the pizza correctly. The attitude you get is the opposite of customer service. If you have the pizza delivered, and IF they show up, you have to come outside to get the pizza from the car, they will not bring it to your door. If you go to pick the pizza up, you have to take your life into your hands as the surrounding area is the new hang out for the drunks and druggies of the neighborhood. Because of this particular store, I have deleted my app and will not be ordering from Papa Johns ever again. How the corporate office allows this store to stay open is beyond explanation.

I haven’t even gotten my food yet and just want to say how rude the person was who took my order over the phone. Ridiculous.

They only get 1 star because Unilocal won’t allow me to leave 0. I’ve ordered from this location 3 – 4 times, tops. The first time the driver couldn’t find my house(which is literally 3 mins away) and was obviously under the influence of something. The second time the pizza was undercooked. I emailed Papa John’s and they basically sent me the email they send all customers and kept it moving. The third time the pizza was fine and the driver was superb. The last time(about 30 mins ago) the delivery person called and said she was in front of my house, she was not. In fact, I came outside and she was no where to be found for at least 30 seconds and she was still at the end of my block. When she arrived she was nice enough, but never bothered getting out of her car to hand me my pizza and instead forced me to reach into her vehicle to get my pizza. Making me wish I hadn’t added the tip beforehand, but oh well. Then I open my pizza, grab a slice, and realize it is ONCEAGAIN undercooked. Even basic cooking classes will teach you not to serve undercooked food. I have called Papa Johns and emailed, but I’m certain I won’t be refunded my money. Certainly never ordering from here again!

I order online because I have a hard time hearing/understanding when I order delivery on the phone. I received a notice after ordering that the wait time is 105 – 115 minutes! Why would there ever be a two hour wait on a random Thursday, with no games, inclement weather, or other extenuating circumstance? And a $ 3 dollar delivery charge that the company states does not go to the drivers? Yeah, I’m lucky if I get my pizza at all tonight.

Really dissatisfied with the delivery service, and I’ve now had two identical experiences. Some comments: 1. The drivers need navigation systems. Each time, I spent 7 – 10 minutes on the phone navigating the driver when I live a mile away at a standard address. 2. This business needs to train delivery drivers to get out of the car and come to the front door. 3. The pizza box had faintest smell of cigarettes, which I imagine came from the driver’s car. Not cool. 4. The pizza was on the cool side when it got here. Seems like there are plenty of Papa John’s fans in the neighborhood, so I hope management is taking this feedback to fix the problems. Unfortunately, I probably won’t be using this location again until I see from reviews here that they’ve turned things around.

This location has am extreme issue with on time delivery. I ordered my pizza at 7:00 pm, it’s now 8:48 and the pizza still has not arrived. I’m writing this review because I have ordered from papa john’s in the past and with single exception it’s always been a long wait. I will consider other food delivery services in the area for future orders. #Poor Delivery Time #Poor Customer Service #COLD Pizza

I placed an online order at 5:16PM. The confirmation said to expect my pizza in 30 – 45 minutes. At 6:12 I called and asked about my order. I was told it was«on its way.» At 6:43 I called again and inquired after my alleged pizza. The waste of oxygen on other end had the gall to tell me that someone called and I never answered. It was then I told them where they could shove their imaginary pizza. Hey, Brentwood Papa John’s, here’s a tip. I can quickly conclude that you were lying to my face when you told me you tried to call me. You see, this isn’t 1983. The phone number I gave you was a cell phone. And with a cell phone, I get a record of all calls incoming and outgoing, landed and missed, in real time. All it takes is a quick visit to my carrier’s web site. Ain’t technology grand? Between 5:16 and 6:43, there were NO incoming calls. The two outgoing calls were to your house of lies. Gentle Reader, if you like wasting your time and having your intelligence insulted by a semi-literate gum-chewing drone, then by all means give the Brentwood Papa John’s a jingle. If you want someone to actually deliver a pizza, then look elsewhere.

Zero stars. Please don’t waste your time and money ordering from them. I have ordered from them three separate times. The first time it took about an hour to deliver my pizza less than a mile from their location. There were no special events(e.g., football) that would have justified the wait. The second time it took more than an hour and a half to deliver my pizza less than a mile from their location. Again, no reason for the wait, and I had to call them to remind them about my order. The third time they didn’t bother even preparing the pizza. We called them to remind them and the very person who took our order on the phone acted surprised when we reminded him of the order despite the fact that we ordered later at night(i.e., when they were surely not busy at all). Seriously, order from literally any other place to get your pizza, even if it’s another Papa John’s nearby. Otherwise, you’ll be waiting forever for a pizza that may never come.

Don’t order from these guys ever. I ordered a pizza at 949 to which they said it would take about 35 min. So at 1212am I call back to say what’s up. She said the driver called me but there was no answer. I had my phone next to me the whole time. There was nobody that called me. Lying. Call Pizza Hut!

Still on hold… Worst service ever. That’s all I can write because I was never able to place an order. Was literally on hold for 10 minutes before someone came back on the phone, at which point we were already getting good somewhere else.

I ordered online for lunch because I had a 50% off code. I was little skeptical because of the bad reviews but was starving so decided to take a chance. Ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and 2 liter soda. I never received an email confirmation but by the time I was starting to wonder if I should give them a call, the delivery driver was calling to tell me he was outside. The pizza was good… typical Papa John’s. Will order from them again when I’m in the area and hungry for some pizza.

So I saw the other reviews for here, and if you did too, you might be wondering why so many people gave it 1 star and I gave it 4. It’s simple… I’ve ordered from them about 38 times… and I’ve only LET them deliver to my house ONE time. The delivery aspect sucks. For such a small delivery area in a part of the city with much less traffic or difficulty to learn, drivers never know where they’re going, often don’t call if they’re late or lost, and deliver cold shaken up pizza. I go to pick up my pizza, because I live so close to it, as I would imagine most of the people who order from here live as well. Totally different game. You get to experience what your delivered pizza was like before it sat at a pass for 15 minutes unheated then taken by a driver who was careless with it and took forever. In store, pizzas are handed to you oven hot. Open the box there and you’ll see a pretty well made pizza, toppings distributed evenly, nice crust, etc. It can be busy inside the store, which is tiny, but regardless of how busy, they usually do well acknowledging customers, taking new orders, or checking on an already placed order. A shame the delivery could wreck the experience for some.

Just like everyone else… Pizza is okay, but their delivery is awful. I lived a 5 minute WALK away from the place, and delivery took over two hours. Never again.

How is this place still in business? I ordered online at 1:10pm on a rainy Saturday. I can understand that delivery times will take longer than normal. I called in at 1:50pm to ask how my order was coming along. They said it was already on it’s way. I called at 2:25pm to cancel my order. The delivery person eventually showed up around 2:40pm which means they don’t even communicate with each other. The location is 1.4 miles from my place of business. A 5 – 10 minute drive depending on traffic. This place is TERRIBLE!

This Papa is the John that broke the camel’s back. I’ve had a 100% failure rate ordering from this store. Expect pizza orders to take 1 – 2 hours to show up. When they do show up, expect them to be cold. If your order is even vaguely correct, consider yourself lucky. I used to consider Papa John’s as «The Bar» when it came to pizza. They were predictable and decent. That was before I moved to DC. I rated every other DC chain in direct comparison to Papa John’s. Unfortunately my DC experiences with Papa Johns have been so bad so consistently that I’ve decided that my reviews of other places aren’t really fair. The Papa John’s I know and love doesn’t exist here. Not only am I giving this store 1 star, but I’m literally upping the rating of every other pizza place in the city by one star, as the«Papa Bar» is unusually low in this town. John Schnatter, please come to DC and whoop some ass. Your local franchise owners are destroying your good name and business. They’ve even chased ME away, a former loyal customer of almost 10 years.

You know your neighborhood is hitting the big time when you get a Papa Johns! Having been rather disappointed with most of the other pizza joints in Brookland, I decided to pick up a few pies from PJ’s for a some football watching a few weeks back. The order was accurate and I got exactly what I expected. Nothing great, nothing bad. Just typical Papa John’s pizza, take it for what it’s worth. I do see the delivery guys motoring around the ‘hood all the time, so I assume business is pretty good. Next thing you know, Brookland will have a Baja Fresh, Cosi, and a Starbucks. And my rent will be 50% higher.
