Urban, yet modern atmosphere with a very classy design This place has an outstandingly curious staff that provides excellent service. Great menu for alcoholic beverages; if you are a whiskey lover, they have a very good selection. Prices are a little elevated, but for a classy place like this with good service it’s expected. Will definitely go back.

Left much to be desired: I stopped in for a late lunch, found the menu pretty limited, Caesar salad was fair and quite small for $ 10-, it consisted of 5 or six small romaine lettus leaves drizzled with dressing!!! The bone marrow dish was good, nicely presented but much too salty, I had to ask for water 3 times because the server was not on top of it, service was inattentive and my server was clueless about the menu items and their preparations; an embarrassment for an establishment of this calibre No bread basket, no salt & pepper on the tables, no pillows on the couches to prop you forward when eating, no offer of coffee or dessert…

We came here after the Fourth of July Fireworks and I found this place pretty relaxing. Nice dimmed lighting, efficient and attentive staff and good selection of beer, wine and food at not-so-high prices for a nice hotel like Park Hyatt. Good spot for late night drinks and food.

I do like this place! Always end up spending way too much time here when I’m in DC. The service is always spectacular, Jason & Steven rock. Drinks are muddled with fresh herbs and berries, they have some nice creative ones as well as the classics. A decent selection of beers as well and always great conversation with either other patrons or the tenders. You can always get some great tips on where to eat or go if you’re just friendly and ask. The bar area itself is small and only seats about 6 on each side but it is surrounded by booths and small tables that you can reserve thru Blue Duck tavern to have dinner at. They do also serve almost the entire menu from the Blue Duck at the bar itself. Some of the rotating wines come with a little surprise as far as price tag goes but it’s the Park Hyatt in DC, what do you expect?! Pistachios with drinks, nice rotating wine list, great service, not much to complain about !

Attended the 2013 New Years Even Party at the Park Hyatt Lounge and can say that I was completely happy that my wife and I choose to spend our New years Even with the wonderful folks at the Park Hyatt Lounge, minus one small complaint. While the space is cozy(I would guess 50 – 100 people) the table choice seemed a little odd(frustrating?). It seemed as though all of the tables were taken from a children’s tea party, and places here. No adult, man or woman, can fit their lets under the table, so you’re left either 1) straddling the entire table like someone riding a horse, sit side saddle, not facing the person you’re dining with, or you’re left leaning over the table with your feet under your chair. The event itself though was exceptional and in my opinion, went off without a hitch. First of all, there was a live band(Karla Chisholm) which provided some great music to lounge/dance to throughout the entire night. At times the music was a little too loud(for conversation) but it wasn’t constantly drowning out EVERYTHING, but coupled with the odd table situation, the loud nature of the space made for awkward conversation at times. As far as drinks go, there was a «premium» open bar, that featured top shelf cocktails and port city beers. I had everything ranging from a Rum and Coke to a White Russian, and the drinks were consistently well made and NOT at any time short on spirits. The food was the highlight of the evening. I’ll admit that we went to dinner at Founding Farmers earlier in the day(around 5ish) so when it came to «tapas» I wasn’t as hungry as I wish I had been. Fresh spread of olives, bread, meats, and cheeses on one side of the buffet, on the other was a spread including(but not limited to) venison pâté, roasted lamb shank, black truffle risotto, lobster bisque, Salmon, freshly sliced roast beef. My wife, who does NOT like rare meat, raved about the roast beef all night. I tasted the risotto and it was great. I stayed closer to the meats and cheeses and was very happy with them. My wife, with the much faster metabolism, was able to enjoy the heavier tapas. But as the night wore on I was astonished at the deserts /chocolates. I’m not much of a sweets guy, but I couldn’t help myself. There were fresh chocolate macaroons, a cake lollipop /stick concoction, crème brûlée, a white chocolate and caramel mousse. I was in desert heaven. Each bite was better than the last, and I had to consciously stop myself from constantly returning to the buffet to eat up these gourmet deserts. I will say, that I plan on returning next year again for the NYE event(I won’t eat dinner before!) It was an exceptional event, with exceptional, professional service and if all of the events they have are on par with this one, I would happily become a regular.

I live nearby so I stop in here often to meet up with friends. It’s such a nice and civilized atmosphere with excellent drinks and seasonal bar menu. Afternoon tea service is also amazing. The low rating is related to service. It has gone downhill lately — long waiting time upon sitting down and some of the staff barely acknowledge you and cannot seem to keep their surly attitude in check. Such a shame for the Park Hyatt brand.

I went to the New Year’s Eve party at the Park Hyatt restaurant in the lower level of the hotel. There was live music and a high-quality buffet with leg of lamb, shrimp, several kinds of crackers and cheese, and fruit. The service was really good and there was a drink menu with about 12 different options for mixed drinks(I tried a few of them and everything was really delicious). Servers brought around champagne at midnight. All in all, the Park Hyatt was beautiful and I plan to go back next year!

Awesome place, awesome service. Quite possibly my favorite late night place to hang out. Last time I was there, we arrived late in the evening just when they were transitioning menus. Was disappointed not to be able to order the bone marrow but did order the apple pie from Blue Duck. It was awesome as expected a heavy and dense brick of apple goodness. Although the cheese and charcuterie display was being packed up, we noticed one of the staff(Lisa) slicing some on an old school slicer and asked her what it was. She was very helpful and friendly, introducing us to some new charcuterie and cheeses even though she was closing up. Exactly the level of service you’d expect from a Park Hyatt.

The lounge and bar at Park Hyatt was a good spot to unwind and relax. I ordered a glass of Chimay while waiting for my friend to show up. Loved the warmed pistachio nuts served whole. After checking out the light fare menu I decided to order the cold cut mortadella, the Everona Dairy Piedmont, Rapidan VA and the Humboldt Fog from Cypress Grove, CA. They were reasonably priced though everything added up, definitely on the up-scale side. The platter was served with a very delicious caramelized onion relish, figs, pickles and olives. When my friend showed up we also ordered the roasted bone marrow served with a bulb of freshly roasted garlic and parsley butter. That was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend that! We ended the evening with glasses of Tattinger champagne and sparkling wine from VA. I was not too crazy about the sweet and weak VA sparkling wine but absolutely loved the Tattinger champagne! The service at Park Hyatt was outstanding as expected.
