Very cool little coffee shop. Has a nice vibe. Their prices are pretty reasonable and their coffee and other coffee based drinks are pretty good. Definite fan of peet’s.

Nicest baristas ever! I stopped by with my mom and sister and had questions about their new drinks with coconut cream in them. I always appreciate when employees willingly go above and beyond to explain how things are made because I think it’s polite and it shows they value educating their customers. We asked for three different coffees with pastries, some warmed up and others not, and everything was perfect! My mom decided last minute that she wanted her pastry warmed up even though she had already started picking at it and they did it with no problem. Overall, the service was spectacular and the drinks were great, as is expected from Peet’s. Sad that we were just visiting because I truly felt taken care of at this location.

I’m a coffee snob – and I own it. I prefer really strong coffee, a la Illy or Starbucks. Those of you who like your coffee sweet and light, please put on your big girl/boy pants and drink up. At any rate, I like Peet’s. I still prefer Starbucks, but I’ve been to this Peet’s location twice, had iced lattes both times, and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a nice set-up, as well, with plenty of seating in the back. I did have to move to the front seating – the music in the back was very loud, and you know we older folks don’t like noise. But, if you are in the area, check it out.

Signature coffee, tea, and other blended drinks as well as baked goods are featured at this Berkeley-born chain, located in the heart of DC. Caramel frappé was very much needed after a long tiring day and lemon cake was fresh. Wi-Fi was strong and stable during my visit. Friendly baristas as customer service is on top for a café. Ended up getting a discount, despite not ordering Unilocal check-in offer.

Peet’s Coffee always wins me over with their customer service. As I was ordering, I asked the barista what he recommended and he was spot on– the White Chocolate Hazelnut Latte. If you like sweet, you’ll love this! AND he gave $ 1 off of my drink. Well done! This location is in the heart of DC and has a lot of seating and free, strong wifi. You can sit at the high table, window seating, or in the corner with the sofa chairs making it a great place to study/work. Well done, Peet’s!

Nice cappuccino and breakfast sandwiches, better than Starbucks. The only negative thing that I can add was that one of the personel working there had a bit of bad morning temper though he didn’t want to wait for me to decide what I wanted to drink to my sandwich for more than 4 sec until he said something angrily and started to warm up my sandwich before he came back and continued taking up my order.

Some places are just as good or better than Starbucks. This is one of those locations. Great stopping point to grab and go or grab and sit. Not formal, a little different but I give it 4 stars.

The service is kind of on the slow side, but it wouldn’t be a problem if the drinks were mixed right. Asked for a caramel macchiato and a caramel latte and neither tasted anything like caramel. If I didn’t already walk a few blocks away before trying it, this would definitely be remade.

My bus drops me right at the front door of Peet’s. How could I not go in. I’m a light roast girl and every morning it’s hot, fresh, and served with a fantastic smile. Quality sandwiches, tea, oatmeal, and did I mention the hot, fresh coffee served with a smile. Get you some!

Friendly staff welcomed me each day of my visit to DC. Soy latte one day, misto tea the next. The scones were great too. Peets coffee is served at smithsonite sites too.

We had fast and friendly service at this Peet’s. There wasn’t a lot of seating, some by the window, a handful of small tables and two lounge chairs, but we had no issues finding a seat on a Tuesday afternoon. The new mango sunrise ice tea infusion is basically their version of Starbuck’s mango black tea lemonade. Peet’s version tastes stronger so I’m not sure if this is due to using a more concentrated syrup or more syrup. The drink was especially enjoyable after walking around in 90 degrees weather.

LOOVE Peet’s Coffee & Tea! They offer quality espresso, coffee, tea, snacks etc. My go-to order is an iced almond milk latte, but their iced Black Tie has been my recent obsession: a delicious concoction of cold brew coffee, condensed milk, chicory syrup, and half & half. Clean shop, great coffee, friendly workers, & fast service.(I believe they also provide free WiFi). This place definitely makes my mornings a lot better!

heck yes. i had a maple javiva(pronounced«javeeva» rather than«ja-vive-a,» i learned), and it was fab. it’s comparable in both price and taste to starbucks, but more fun because it was something new and maple isn’t a flavor you see every day. also, the vibe of the place is really nice and the service was upbeat and good.

Great service. Everyone here is super friendly and helpful regarding recommendations. I come here for the Black Tie iced coffee. It provides the perfect mid-day, wake me up.

Looking for an afternoon pick me up after leaving the Ford’s Theatre this location popped up on my Unilocal at. Located on a bustling intersection on the corner of 12th, it looks to be a place that gets a lot of foot traffic at all hours of the day. Not k owing what to order, my decisions made for me after I checked in and received a $ 1 off Javicini. Not sure what that was I asked the cashier whom told me it was a blended drink and I gathered sort of like a Starbucks frappachino. On top of my discount, they were running a 50% off deal on them until 4pm, so how could I say no… My $ 5 Javicini ended up being less than $ 2. I did not want a lot of sugar so was able to get a light version with sugar free vanilla and. Coffee. Other options include chocolate, caramel and hazelnut made with coffee or espresso. However the only sugar free option is vanilla. It seems that Peets is another West coast coffee chain along the lines of Starbucks but without a lot of the beverage options. However I can’t complain, the employees were working hard and pleasant and beverage hit the spot after doing a lot of walking during a fairly warm May day. It was refreshing and a great pick me up.

Adorable coffee shop at the top of the Metro Center exit. Perfect for grabbing a hot chocolate on a cold, snowy day, which is exactly what we did last weekend. It was our last day of a long weekend trip to DC, our first time there, and we had just a small amount of time to kill before heading to the airport. This adorable shop, with sleek looking furniture, soothing natural paint tones and inviting staff were just the ticket. Loved our hot chocolate, as it was not very sweet. Just what I wanted. Topped with whipped cream it was the perfect, warm rich treat to wake us up before heading home. I am not a coffee drinker, and we don’t have Peet’s in Houston, but if we did I think they may be able to convert me. I liked this place mounds and mounds better than that nationwide green logo place.

25 minutes to find parking at Ballston. 15 minute delay in tunnel on metro between stops(with no internet connection). 45 minutes late for work. Ah, happy commute! The perfect antidote? A quick stop to be even later, of course. One large hot chocolate, made with Peete’s Dutch Cocoa sauce, steamed almond milk, and a shot of Cinnamon Bun flavoring. Heaven. All better. I love that Peet’s offers almond milk as a dairy substitute, I’ve noticed that many coffee shops only carry soy. I’ve also found that Peet’s drinks aren’t super sweet, which I also appreciate. It’s hard for me to stop anywhere else these days.

I was first introduced to Peet’s Coffee several years ago when visiting the Land of the Unilocal on the West Coast. I immediately fell in love with their Matcha Green Tea Latte(and subsequently their Peppermint Green Tea Latte and their Vanilla Green Tea Latte). When Peet’s took over the Caribou Coffees in the District I was immediately overjoyed to be reunited with my hot cup o’ love. This Peet’s does not disappoint as a coffee shop. There is free WiFi, the baristas are fast and friendly and all of their roasts are fresh. Sure it’s a chain, but every time I go back I feel a breeze of Cali refreshment wash through my body. The only thing I have to say about this particular location is that there are not too many tables or places to sit. This is definitely a grab and go type of place not catch up with an old girlfriend.

Always a plus to have another coffee option downtown. Their dark roast coffee was tasty without having a burnt flavor and I like that I can add my own milk/sugar rather than having to trust they can read my mind with exactly how much I want. The cinnamon roll was pretty good but not amazing, but their baked goods do look appetizing. This place is new and they’re still working out all the kinks. The lines are a little long but they move quickly and the staff is very friendly. Also, at least on the day I went they were giving out coupons for free coffee, a way to ensure I’ll be back. Peet’s is a worthy addition to the already crowded DC coffee landscape.
