This Starbucks is by far the most inconsistent in making espresso drinks. I have ordered a skinny mocha on three separate occasions and the drink was not made properly everytime. Each time the batista blamed their coworker for the mistake. My son is a partner at a Starbucks so I understand the job but I am not ordering a complicated beverage. Unfortunately I think I am going to have start joining my coworkers at Peets because three fails in a row is enough. I don’t have the time or patience to have my espresso drink remade each time. It is obvious that more training is needed.

Aside from the fact that, yes, there are often very intimidating homeless men standing right at the doors asking for money or catcalling(which is especially unnerving since I’ve 7 months pregnant…), this starbucks is INCREDIBLE. The staff is unbelievable. Seriously, they should get a raise or a bonus. I’ve been treated with nothing but the utmost respect by these folks, and they’re always somehow in the best of moods. I work up at 10th and F and I go here at least a few times a week, so this review isn’t based on one visit. These guys are seriously amazing. One of them noticed I was pregnant a few months ago and discretely asked if I wanted decaf in my frapp. I waved it off because I didn’t want to be a pain, but he made sure the barista made it decaf anyway. People are seriously just NOT concerned with others the way these kids are!(I honestly didn’t even know the caffeine thing was a «thing,» so he really had an impact on me. I’ll definitely bring my little one in to visit sometime ha) Seriously. This staff is PHENOMENAL. And that’s coming from a girl who spent 10 years in the service industry and is now dealing with borderline depression because of a loss of hope in people’s humanity. This place restores a bit of that hope. Thank you, guys!

Stay out of this disgustingness!!! I’ve NEVER seen a Starbucks so covered in trash! And don’t use the bathroom cause they will unlock the door WHILEYOUAREINTHERE w/o bothering to knock! Stay away!

Probably the worst run Starbucks I’ve ever been in. There were a few people in line in front of me. It took an average amount of time to order. There appeared to be three employees behind the counter. Although one had his phone out and was chatting for a while with a customer. Eventually he was seated and enjoying a cup of coffee, so maybe he was heading on break? The line got long after I ordered. I ordered a regular cup of coffee with coconut milk. Usually I receive that cup right at the register. However, I ended up waiting with everyone else at the end. I started to notice that people who came in after me were getting their drinks. I didn’t see a cup for me sitting in the line. I also noticed the cashier giving other people their regular coffee at the register. I went back over and after a few moments of not being acknowledged, I finally got their attention and asked about my coffee. Finally I received my coffee.

Bad experience of 2 large jobless men standing 1 foot from me outside and asking for money as I open the door to Starbucks. It is frightening and annoying and a big hassle while buying a $ 5 cup of coffee. I wish Starbucks would do something to stop this from happening 1 ft from their door.

I just got the most disgusting latte I’ve ever consumed in my life at this location. There’s obviously not a drop of espresso in here, and it takes like hot water with a dash of milk. If I had time this morning I would have taken it back and asked for a refund.

The man at the register is incredibly competent, friendly, efficient. From there, everything goes downhill. They’ve forgotten part of my order twice in a row now and they overheat the croissants so they come out crispy instead of warm.

This is probably the nicest Starbucks in the city… Clean! And their Latte is way better than any other Starbucks that I’ve been to in the city.

I love Starbucks for multiple reasons. This store was consistent with all others, however, it was very, very busy for the size of store it was. If jumping in for a coffee for take out, it would be great.

Crowded downtown location with the line sometimes being out the door, but it does move quickly and the staff here is very friendly. Beware though it can take an oddly long time to get your beverage in the morning even if you just order a coffee. It’s small inside so probably plan to get it to go and go to one of the other locations if you plan to enjoy your beverage inside.

I had a really nice cashier who was very friendly and just made my day better. They also made my drink perfectly. The other people working there were really nice and happy as well.

The man at the register was friendly but overall the service is not that great. Believe it or not, they had forgotten my order and I had to wait several minutes for a simple chai latte.

I don’t take time to write reviews, so let’s be clear: this was the worst Starbucks experience I have ever had. Bad drinks, dirty floors, and boarded up bathrooms. Would not recommend.

Very nice experience at this Starbucks. The man working the register was friendly and polite. They made my iced tea exactly how I asked for it(no sweetener, no water added.) In addition, they had the You Are Here DC mug. I collect Starbucks mugs and had visited 2 other Starbucks in the downtown area that didn’t have any of these particular mugs. I’m happy to say my search is complete!

First, this place closes at 7:30!!! That’s hard to believe in a large city! I ran 5 blocks just before closing and they would not let me in!

There are 3 Starbucks within 2 blocks of my job, This location would technically be the furthest, but it’s the best. The staff is friendly and fast. My drinks are always made correctly and with a smile.

It’s a Starbucks and with one on almost every corner in DC it’s hard to compare. I ordered a brewed coffee and mine was hot and fresh. My husband ordered a pumpkin spice latte and his was just okay. I thought it was kind of cold once he got it. This location was small so if you want to settle in with a laptop you need to get their early or something.

It’s a starbucks in Downtown, DC. Yes it’s starbucks and yes, it gets crowded but as long as the end game is the same, lock and load, grab your cup o’joe and you’re good to go. I like to sometimes snag a bar seat by the window, sip my coffee and people watch.

I swear I’ve been to chain restaurants where service and cleanliness are clearly evident. Here, the service is fine, and it’s pretty clean if you don’t look too carefully, but while perusing the pastries shelves, I saw flies inside the display cases. The people behind the counter tend to mutter so you don’t understand whether they are talking to you, themselves, or each other. When the drinks are done, they hand it over so nonchalantly, it’s like you’re doing a favor for them by reaching over and taking it from them. Of course, they tell you it’s done in an incomprehensible way. The only way I knew it was my drink was because everyone else around me had received their orders.

Pork, coffee and Jamesons… Put me on an island with these items and I could survive… Well maybe a volleyball named Wilson too! Just don’t delay my first cup of coffee!!!
The design of this location would be awesome if it were in the middle of a quiet neighborhood but it is surrounded office buildings, a major tour bus hub with souvenir shops and 2 Metro stations! At the front door you are looking down a couple of steps to the display case… Maybe. 16′. YES… SIXTEENFEET! That’s enough room for 8 – 10 people(if the line is staggered). Ten small tables and four window seats. The line was 20 deep at 8:30am! The line did move fast. Two cashiers and pastry/sandwich person. My hat goes out to the Barista! She was totally holding it down by herself! Babygirl rocks! It may help things run a bit smoother if the cashiers added the name of the drink recipient on the cup. This works in other Starbucks and then the barista will not have to repeatedly call out the name of the drink. She could call it twice and bounce. When she returns with the next drink, she could recap! Same with the food! The cashiers have a quick and easy job! «Hi what can I get for you today?». Maybe add«Great! What’s your name?»(Write it on the cup) «Thanks(insert name here)». Builiding rapport!!! I will come back but never before noon !
