Took too long, pizza was cold and Did not taste that great. At lest there is no incentive to binge.

Sheer nastiness. Just bought 2 slices from here. Not only does the staff spend 95% of their time gabbing away, the pizza is this thin as he&# and tastes like cardboard! $ 11 wasted — yes, this paper-thin, tasteless crap was $ 11. Never again.

We’ve ordered D’Oro about 3x a week for more than a year now. Some observations: (1) Delivery, if you’re in the U Street neighborhood, is usually very fast.(2) Pizza is waaay better than Boli’s or other chains.(3) Cheese steak and chicken cheese steak subs are amazing.(Order them with the peppers.)(4) Wings are usually good, but inconsistent.(order BBQ — their spicy sauce isn’t buffalo but some weird pepper paste)(5) Chef’s and garden salads are passable. They’re one of our«go to”-s for delivery, so that in itself should say something.

I’ve never actually been to the restaurant but I order their wings all the time and then have them deliver to my dorm. I usually get the BBQ Inge which are delicious! Yassss hunty! It usually takes about half an hour to get here and after 10 dollars then they deliver for free. Tip: order a 2 liter in your cart and put in coupon code: freecola to get it for free!

I hate to do this to any business, but I was just so completely grossed out by my pizza the other day. It was cold and slimy, it tasted like a store bought pizza that was unthawed, warmed a little and thrown into a box! I appreciate them being open and willing to deliver so late, but the food was so bad I won’t ever order again. It’s a shame too, because we are late night munchers and loyal to worthy restaurants

If you are starving at 12am, this is a good spot, as they are open late. Other than that… that’s about it. The pizza that I ordered wasn’t anything spectacular, but it was filling.

It’s 2:30 a.m. you’ve visited more than one bar, you’re starving(and tipsy)…what to do? Walk right into Pizza D’Oro and place your order. I’m not a big fan of pizza in general, but the crust and cheese was excellent. The veggies were crisp and again they were still open! Our wait was about 30 minutes, no worries though — the other late night guest kept us entertained. Much appreciated!!! I will have to come back to verify that it’s truly good pizza, but for now that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

I’ve ordered pizza from here before and it was really great. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the gyro platter or Caesar salad. Lettuce provided in both were old and my salad came without dressing. I ended up just eating the pita with what felt like the pound of tzatziki they put into the gyro.

Buffalo chicken pizza was really bad. Tough dough, sloppy toppings, and overall tasteless. Just really weak. Delivery took about twice as long as estimated, too.

The wings were absolutely great but the Sausage Calzone was very disappointing, mushy and lacking true Italian flavor. I should have gone for the subs.

I’m willing to say that I probably should have just ordered a pizza, but i really wasn’t feeling anything too saucy which is why I went with a cheese steak and Caesar salad. Rest of my coworkers liked their variety of pizzas and calzone, however my Cheese steak was dry and the lettuce was super gross. My Caesar salad smelled odd and was limp as well. Thankfully there was another lunch choice provided. I will probably give an update once i’ve tried the pizza, as I am a pizza connoisseur(or would like to think at least) lol. P. S. The delivery was pretty fast considering how gross and Seattle like wet it was outside lol

We ordered the special buffalo chicken pizza and cheese bread sticks. Delivery was very quick(30 min and it was pouring rain). Pizza was tasty, however the toppings were have slid off the pizza when it arrived– still tasted the same, no big deal to me, just didn’t photograph well! My protein zealous other half wasn’t satisfied with the amount of chicken. I eat lite so i didn’t mind. I would order again, large special pizza and cheesy bread sticks + delivery only cost me $ 25!

This is my favorite anytime pizza in DC great sauce great crush. The customer service is pretty good I wish they delivered to my house but I travel from southwest DC to get this, it’s better than any chain pizza(Pizza Hut dominoes papa johns) hands down.

I’m basing this solely off of the pizza. It was definitely a solid pizza, but not anything special. Flavors were good, and I wouldn’t be opposed to going again. My only complaint is the delivery time — it took almost 2 hours! The restaurant was very nice and gave us a 20% discount, but I don’t think I’d recommend ordering this as delivery. In the future, I’ll just pick it up if I go again.

Ordered delivery from Pizza D’Oro and the pizzas came 17 minutes later than expected. Their specialty pizzas were good — the Buffalo Chicken had great flavor and they were kind enough to add pepperonis per our reques on the Hawaiian Pizza. For the price, you probably could get more food. Although the pizza was good, I think I would have actually preferred Papa John’s, which gives you a little more for your money and is just as good.

I just ordered another tuna sub from Pizza D’Oro and they’re back to the same old antics. They haven’t changed one bit. I thought things would change after I wrote a review showing my displeasure of a tuna sub I ordered from them a few weeks ago. Even the owner responded to my review, personally extended an apology, and ensured to me that what I received wasn’t a representation of his establishment. I guess that apology was either a PR move to make other people think he really cares about the service they provide to their patrons or if he hasn’t gotten started on improving the service yet. I will upload a pic of the sub I received and let people be the judge on whether or not they deem the sub shown in the picture as an ‘Overstuffed’ sub. You can’t use the word ‘Overstuffed’ to describle a sub that’s definitely falling short on the main topping. There was more lettuce and tomatos than tuna. Either stop advertising your subs as ‘Overstuffed’ or simply lower the price accordingly to reflect the amount of food you’re actually serving. I can order a regularly advertised ‘Sub’ from a carry-out spot(who doesn’t even specialize in subs) and get more bang for my money. Now the french fries I ordered with the sub were really delicious, but the thing that really ticked me off was that I also ordered a large greek salad. I pull the salad out of the bag and discovered that they didn’t put ANY salad dressing packets inside of the bag. Even the bag clearly says BLUECHEESE as my choice of salad dressing, so I don’t have the slightest clue as to why the person who bagged my salad didn’t put the blue cheese packets in the bag. Now I’m sitting here with a salad and have absolutely NO dressing with put on it. I don’t want to call them back. The streets are blocked and it’s raining heavily outside. I refuse to put the delivery driver in harms way just to return back with 2 salad dressing packets. You know the saying ‘Fool you once, shame on you. Fool you twice, shame on me’. Well, although it was the second time I was fooled, I definitely won’t give them the chance to make it a third time.

I like this place. It’s my go-to delivery pizza spot. The buffalo chicken pizza is delicious, and I’ve gotten it countless times. But tonight, I ordered the primavera pizza, which has mushrooms, black olives, green peppers, onions, and tomatoes. I received the margarita, with basil, mozzarella and tomato sauce. It was okay, but not great and definitely not what I’d ordered.

The pizza is great(for the price). The front staff that answer the phone are super friendly but the managers could use a course in charm school. But this place is way better than Lupo Verde on 14th Street. Don’t ever go there. Unless you are into being publicly shamed.(no judgement) Anyway… don’t set your expectations high. It’s pizza. Make sure to confirm your order and price twice before you hang up.

Delicious drunk food but it could stand up as good za when you’re sober. They fake the jumbo slice by just giving you two pieces but I’ll let it slide.

On a cold day, there are few things in the world as awesome as a warm jumbo slice of pizza from this Shaw pizzeria. However, to call this a true jumbo slice place is a lie because instead of one slice for around $ 2.50, they only have double jumbo slices on the menu for $ 4.00. Not that I mind having double the food for lunch for less but future dine in customers should be aware of this little menu quirk. They also don’t qualify purely as a slice place because they don’t just have the pizza laying around waiting for people to stop in. The wait time for a slice, er slices, is usually a few minutes but when the slices come out, they are so hot and cheesy that it’s like eating a romance novel. They serve it up on two plates and let the customer add as many spices as they want. But I have personally found this pizza perfectly seasoned with just the cheese and sauce. As a lot of local people also dine here among the new worker crowd, it’s cool to hear the stories of old Shaw while sitting on one of their four stools here as well(it’s not really a great place for groups). The pizza definitely isn’t fancy. The crust is thin and so is the slice itself but I have to say that it’s absolutely perfect for folding like you’re in New York City and warming up your hands. And that’s all I can ask for during the upcoming time of year. If it was a block closer to my office, I might actually eat here every day.
