Once I get a great dentist I keep him for as long as I can! Dr. Conley is a keeper. I’ve been going to him since 2006 and have always had a good experience. Does not insist on unecessary procedures. The staff is a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend!

Save your time and money and find another, BETTER dentist in DC. I did. Work he does is sub-par(in fact, I had to get a root canal several months AFTER he gave me a crown because the crown was not properly affixed), and he tries to nickel and dime you for everything. Just today I called to have my dental records transferred and he wanted $ 25. To boot, I was informed of this fee in a follow up call from his receptionist who made no mention of a fee when I initially called. This fee is like all the other fees he charges: you don’t know about them until after the fact. It appears that his fees are punitive and not applied across the board. And while I understand he has the right to charge, I know most dentists do not(at least the ones my friends, family, and girlfriend have gone to). Save yourself the hassle and frustration and stay far away from Dr. Conley’s office.

Before I begin — for those of yall first going to any kind of medical practitioner — KNOWKNOWKNOW your billing codes for both your medical provider and your insurance provider to ensure that the procedures you are doing are covered. Dr. Conley is a great dentist. I’ve been to him twice — once for a cleaning and again for a filling. He was very thorough and took his time to explain to me what was going on. I had questions concerning the filling, so he drew me a picture to show what he was doing! Then when I had the filling done, he wanted to make sure I was completely comfortable with it. He even went back after the procedure when I expressed hesitancy about how it felt. The only thing I’ve got to comment on is if you’re going to need an x-ray for wisdom teeth, I would suggest going somewhere else. You need a panoramic and unfortunately, Dr. Conley will not be able to provide you one. Wish I’d known before I actually gotten the x-rays, but what can you do? I ended up paying 109.00 out of pocket to go to a different dentist to get them done because my insurance only covered one Xray per annual coverage.
