This is my favorite liquor store because it’s in my neighborhood, the prices/​selection are good, the family is very nice, and their chihuahuas (Choco and Lily) are so cute!

They’re nice, it’s organized, but the smell gets to me. I can’t quite tell what it is. It’s got a really manufactured chemically aroma about it. I’m very deterred by the smell.

I’ve never had a bad experience at Rosebud. It ends up being a coin flip between here and the other options around 17th and R, but the family that runs it is really nice.
The selection can be limited if you’re looking for something beyond the basics, but the prices are pretty standard for the area.
An extra star because they have the cutest dog ever.

4 stars for being clean, well-​organized, and open later than Cairo.
2 stars off for marking up all their alcohol the day of the snowstorm when most of us couldn’t leave the neighborhood. We peeled off the sticker off our bottle of vodka to make sure — yep, $ 2 markup. I understand business is business, but I’m still turned off.
