Every time I go to a DC United game or USA soccer game at RFK, I really enjoy partying with the Screaming Eagles. Their tailgate is the best deal going. $ 12 for all you can eat buffet(burgers, hot dogs, cookies, brownies, etc.) and a bunch of different type of beers on draft. The atmosphere at the tailgate and in the stands is great. I highly recommend watching DC United games with the Screaming Eagles.

The Screaming Eagles is one of two fan clubs for the DC United soccer team. Their tailgate parties are quite impressive, like a PTA event converged with a raucous keg party. They strike the perfect balance between being low-key and organized, and having enough beer to make it worth your while. In Lot 8 at RFK stadium during home games, the crew sets up an elaborate bbq spread, hundreds of lawn chairs, inflatable pools and an all-you-can-drink booze station. Members drink for free and can pay $ 8 for food(membership costs $ 25). Guests pay $ 12 to eat and drink for free. The food: hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie options, beans, chips, potato and pasta salads, cake, cookies, cupcakes. Large selection of soda, mixed drinks and a few different keg options to choose from. I admire their dedication to incorporating a little philanthropy in the fun. Last Saturday, they sold tickets for $ 6 off, with all the proceeds going to charity, and tips from the beer went to helping a man with a serious disease. Besides the tailgating, they have viewing parties at local bars that show DC United games, road trip in tour buses for some away games and do community outreach projects throughout the year. Although I fear I’m not nearly die hard enough for the Screaming Eagles, I would definitely consider joining for the tailgating and volunteering. What a sweet little club.
