Shear Movement

I found the worst salon in DC, and I hope I can save someone else from the inferior skills and lack of professionalism that is Shear Movement.
I scheduled an appointment with Von (sp?) to put a track in my hair, and then braid all of my hair into a simple fishtail braid to reach the middle of my back. She quoted me $ 50 total.
Von brought down two short, black, plastic-​y, CVS-​brand-​looking tracks with blonde streaks in them. I told her the weave was too short for a mid-​back braid, and I didn’t want blonde highlights.
In response, Von grabbed my purse, shoved it in my chest and pointed out the window to a passing bus. She said «go catch that bus and find some other weave! GO, GO, GO, before you miss it!» Stunned, I ran and caught the bus only to find the beauty supply store closed. I spent 30 minutes walking back to the salon.
When I returned, Von assured me that her weave could achieve a mid-​back braid. Since she’s a professional, I trusted her. As she began to sew, I asked repeatedly how long the braid would be, and she continued to point to the middle of my back, saying, «Why do you keep asking me so many questions?»
Meanwhile, I asked her if there was a good place to plug my phone in. She points to an outlet near her station. 10 minutes later, she knocks my phone off the station and the screen shatters. She whispers in a baby voice: «Did I do that?»
After 3 hours, she still couldn’t figure out how to fix the lumpy braid so she left it lumpy, sprayed half a bottle of gel into my hair and stuck 25 bobby pins in it. At this point I can’t count the number of times I’ve told her «This isn’t what i want,» «This braid is not acceptable,» «Are you going to fix it?» Her response: «It looks FIIIIINE! I’m going to pin those bumps and loosen the whole braid with my rat tail comb. It will give it some style!» I then pointed to a huge piece of hair that was left out of the lumpy braid.
***HER SOLUTION*** she pulls out men’s clippers and buzzes that piece of hair off. I was mortified, and realized this wouldn’t end well.
At 10:30 PM, I told her that if she couldn’t figure out the fishtail braid in the next few attempts, I was leaving. She responds by completing a regular three strand braid (no fishtail), which barely passes the nape of my neck. She then suggests I try a phony pony next time.
I get up and tell her thank you for trying but I am extremely unhappy with my experience and will only be paying the $ 20 for the two tracks, since she did not complete the style.
The owner jumps in to defend the stylist saying, «Do you really think $ 20 is fair after all the hours she put into your hair?! I can’t let you leave without paying at least $ 50.» I give a laundry list of things the stylist failed at (see above paragraphs), and then, UNBELIEVABLY, the stylist begins to lie to the owner about every detail. «I didn’t say $ 50 on the phone, I said $ 70 on the phone!» «I told her the braid would be short!» «I told her to bring her own weave!» «I didn’t drop her phone!»
The owner is belligerent and asks me to get back in the chair so she can take the cheap tracks out of my hair since I won’t pay the full $ 50. I refuse, and they get in my face blocking my exit from the salon — at this point, it is 11 pm and we are the only people left in the salon, there was no one there to stand up for me or hold them accountable for what they did.
I dropped $ 20 on the counter for their drugstore tracks and left. I have never been so disrespected by an establishment in my entire life. I would never go back and I hope that no one else rolls the dice with these psychos, either.
