Horrible service. Thought it was strange that the cashier was unfriendly to me but then I noticed he was that way to the next 3 customers. After I got my drink I saw the person behind me ask a question about his drink and was met with condescension. Bad staff, 1st time I’ve ever seen this in any Starbucks.

Went here because it was the closest Starbucks and experienced the worst service. The person taking the order was yawning when I was ordering. The person that made my drink was unfriendly and rude. When I asked a simple question he was annoyed and very rude. This was the worst experience at a Starbucks.

I used to think that I got lousy service at this location because I was coming in about 20 minutes before closing, but I was in there a couple of hours earlier yesterday and the service was just as bad, if not worse. This time, the barista actually walked away in the middle of making my drink and it took a few minutes for someone new to come along and finish it. I’ve never experienced anything like it. There are plenty of other locations in the area, so I would recommend going to one of them if you really want a coffee.

Very rude barista. Who gives an attitude to their customer when they’re just ordering plain drinks. Never go to this Starbucks. Very unhappy.

I stopped here March 5 on my way to work during what DC calls a snow storm. The snow had just started and the location was fully staffed. Meaning their was at least 5 people working including the manager. I stood there in line for 4 minutes no one in line but me. I stood there while 2 staff members discussed how they were going to get home and how the district manager didn’t care about them. They went on and on in front of me. Finally I said I don’t mean to interrupt but may I order some tea? One women said we trying to figure out how we getting home. Needless to say it was all down hill from there. Anyone and everyone who walked in was ignored and the staff was yelling at a women who was only trying to get us some service. Why was this acceptable the manager was standing right there??? This is a great location but the staff is not! Do not go to this location AVOID it!

Stopped by for a quick cup of coffee and to get on the wifi to look up some things I needed when downtown. They made it the way I requested and I got what I wanted. I would say they are not very friendly here, but nothing I could really put my finger on. I just wanted a coffee and got it. Perhaps it was the lack of smiles or not saying things in a positive tone. Other than that, it was just a Starbucks.

Very understaffed. For a location that draws so much traffic, there need to be more than 2 people. The line goes nearly out the door every morning. Grumpy staff, messed up order and didn’t apologize for the massive inconvenience that forced me to return to the Starbucks after leaving. Going to try the Dunkin Donuts a couple blocks away instead, because this is unacceptable

A typical Starbucks although a bit on the smaller side. Conveniently located around the corner from Farragut North. Staff is friendly but not particularly quick even though I was the only customer in line.

Ok. Actually, this Starbucks gets no stars from me. The staff is incredibly rude! They mix up drink orders and after a third run in of the same kind, I finally noticed that some of it is intentional. The male employee who works the morning shift is the worst of the group. I don’t plan to return. Some advice, if you plan to visit during a weekday morning, then you should consider Au Bön Pain or there’s another small business café(mid-block 18th& L), where you can get pretty reasonably priced flavored coffee(iced too) and they seem to appreciate your business and will save you from the long line. Don’t be fooled by the long line. You’ll be disappointed after the long wait, poor service, and sometimes wrong order, before being quickly shuffled out the door with not even a second glance, thank you, or have a good day.

The air is so thick and it’s always so humid in here… hard to breathe!

Not a good Starbucks. The staff is all over the place and don’t listen. It takes way too long to complete an order and chances are you will need to either repeat yourself multiple times or check to make sure you get what you ordered. Just skip this location and head up Connecticut to the«flatiron» Starbucks.

This location is only good in the morning although the line can be long it is worth the wait. I agree with the other reviewer, the best barista is Kiana. In the afternoon the service is horrible, I had repeat myself 3 times for the cashier to get my order and I still got skim milk instead of 2%. When I got my drink it wasn’t mixed, the top fell off and the cup wasn’t full all the way.

Inattentive staff. When I walked in one of the workers having a conversation with his friend and didn’t get back to work until after I finished my lunch. It took incredibly too long to fix my Pike Place Roast. Most places have it done before I even make it to the register, here I waited for a few minutes and I was the only person there. Don’t see them having many happy customers during rush hour.

The best barista there is named Kiana. She is really great at making drinks — she’s short, so make sure there is a short girl working behind the bar making drinks. Wow. I go to this Starbucks every day on my way to my office so it is «my» coffee place. They know my name and never mess up my drink. I know it’s because I’ve been going there for over a year, but I can see how the rest of these reviews wouldn’t be great. I see the mediocre levels of management — there’s a new manager, but she doesn’t seem to be instilling a sense of happiness about working there or setting a good example of customer service. Anyway — again, make sure Kiana is making your drinks and that you tell them I sent you — it might improve your luck there since I love them so much!

This is perhaps the worst run Starbucks I have ever been in. Usually at a Starbucks if they are incompetent they make up for it with a good attitude, not here. They are grossly incompetent and I would say down right rude. There are some good workers there that try, but shame on the management for letting a few bad apples ruin an entire store. I work nearby so I have been to this Starbucks quite a bit because its close, well, after one incident in particular, I made a decison, I will walk further to get my coffee… I know my boycott really will not matter, this place is packed in the mornings, but at least I will not have my morning ruined by an incompetent and rude Starbucks worker.

Oh, dear Starbucks: You are home to the most incompetent barista I have ever seen last this long at a Starbucks franchise. I ask for a tall cappuccino, and he asks me what size. I ask for skim milk and he asks me what kind of milk I want. I ask for decaf and I am taking a gamble. Nor does he interact very well with the folks actually pulling the espressos and putting together the drinks. He doesn’t always call the drinks correctly, nor does he always bother to call them at all. But then other times, he’ll compensate by calling them(repeatedly!) when they’ve already been made, resulting in double or triple orders. I work nearby, so of course I still go sometimes, and in a weird, perverse way, it almost makes my day to see him here. It’s nice to remember that even the cheerfully incompetent can make a place for themselves in the world.

Line was short, staff was courteous at both the register and the pickup counter. The barista was very friendly and invited me to have a great day and not to work too hard. Left with a smile on my face. Isn’t that the way every coffee run should go? My Pumpkin Spice Latté was a bit on the lukewarm side, but I did neglect to ask for it extra hot. Otherwise was delicious. Definitely recommend this location over the one on the corner of K and 15th…

As far as Starbucks go, this one is pretty bad. There is very little space here, and I can imagine it being hell during peak hours. The staff seemed very uncoordinated and nobody knew what was going on. One person took my order, two others were preparing parts of it, another person rung me up… everything was getting lost in translation. Like I said, I can imagine this being even worse when there are lots of customers here(I was one of two people in line). Quality of the drinks and food was par for the course at Starbucks. Pricey as always for anything that’s not drip coffee, but that’s an accepted(if unfortunate) reality.
