Prices are wrong on their sign(I took pictures of the sign and my receipt) they ran out if the large cups so they gave me 2 small cups. How thoughtful :-(

Drinks and treats were good, customer service sucked and prices charged did not match prices posted. Then claimed their computer was not programmed to charge the correct price??? Pay attention…

With Starbucks all around I would only stop here if you don’t want to venture out. Attended a huge conference and the day we were leaving wanted to stop in and grab a quick coffee. Had to wait over 20 minutes for a latte. The barista took about 5 – 6 customer’s orders and then made the drinks in an order that made sense to her not based on when someone ordered. Staff was friendly and the Marriott employer even helped out to get through rush. They are trying but hope they can take these comments and up their game.

Really, we only went here because it looked they might have chai tea. There were 5 workers there and they couldn’t serve customers in an orderly fashion. I ordered 2 chai teas and got one. Then waited and waited while other customers got their orders. I asked for my chai tai and she just looked at me and said«it’s coming». They were so busy having a conversation among themselves that customers ended up waiting and being served in a haphazard way. The only good thing is the nice seating area and the fact this Starbucks is near the main entrance so you can wait for your ride or whoever is going to meet you there. Other than that, I’d avoid this one.

Prefacing this with the fact that I never write reviews about chains, so when I do, that means they’ve definitely rubbed me the wrong way. I have never been to a more sad excuse for a Starbucks in my life. I should have ran away when I heard the barista yelling out«WHOORDERED A CARAMELMACCHIATA?» What the flying f is a macchiata? Sounds like a mexican side dish. Macchiato, homegirl. You work here. Come on now. Stood in a line of about 7 people tops and it took almost 20 minutes to get my drink. Staff was comically slow. Originally wanted a berry hibiscus but they were out so I just went with a latte. As I waited for my drink, they got two other people’s orders wrong, made a drink that no one had actually ordered and I witnessed one of the baristas pick a hair out of the whipped cream she had just put on someone’s frap. Disgusting. If I hadn’t paid, I would’ve just walked off. Instead, I watched them like a hawk as they made my drink. I’m not trying to sip a strand of hair. Drink-wise, it was on the low end of Starbucks quality drinks. Tasted like they needed to clean out their machine. I had asked for a nonfat latte yet they gave me a skinny… I can’t stand the taste of the sugar-free syrup. I just wanted non-fat milk. However, I could barely taste anything besides coffee anyway. Sigh. First world problems. Just don’t waste your time. There are five trillion Starbucks in DC. You won’t get your drink here in the time it takes to walk from this Starbucks to the next. So save yourself the trouble.

Starbucks should be ashamed to have their name on this place. The service was a snails pace, and employees didn’t seem to care. The employee was touching all the food with bare hands(maybe that’s acceptable here?), but I was thinking the coffee was safe. When I took the cap off my cup of brewed coffee to add milk, there was grease floating on top. I couldn’t stomach drinking it. I didn’t have the time or energy to complain. I just walked away.

Slow, slow location. It gets a huge amount of traffic from anyone who is at a conference at the convention center. The line is usually very long, the staff seems like they are moving around in a lethargic manner(again, probably because they are always slamming busy). Closes early on Saturdays. Save yourself a hassle and buy you coffee at one of the hundred other options within a two block radius.

Located inside the Walter E. Washington Convention Center :) It was closed on my most recent visit to the convention center: a Saturday.

Location is great if you are at the Convention Center or nearby. But the staff is unfriendly, hurried, and literally closed the stand with 2 people in line. Soul sistah needed her menthol ‘cig I guess.

The WORST Starbucks, EVER! I was at a conference last week at the DC Convention Center. I waited in line for about 20 minutes, no big deal since the place was packed. While I waited I noticed a Starbucks employee arguing with a customer. The costumer said she ordered an iced tea, but was given an iced coffee. The employee wouldn’t believe it was in fact iced coffee. Finally, a supervisor, yelled for the employee to stop arguing and give her an iced tea. Then it was my turn, the cashier made a mistake on my order, then argued with me that it was my fault. She rolled her eyes and basically looked like she wanted to tell me to F-off. Afterward, a costumer cam up to me and said she couldn’t believe how rude the employee was. They over charge for everthing and are really rude. Why? Because they got you over a barrel.

Be warned, this is not a real Starbucks, but rather a private store. They don’t take the Starbucks card, and your drink cannot be credited to your account. You’re better off going to the ‘real’ Starbucks on New York, about 4 blocks away.

Went here during a convention. Despite a major crush of people, service was VERY fast and my drinks were made correctly. The barista calling out the drinks was a character-in a good way!

I went to this Starbucks to get change to feed the meter only, and you know what the Barista gave it to me without making me purchase anything. I’ve also gone here before to use the restroom, and you know what they didn’t make me purchase anything that time either. Why is that important you ask… because customers remember that. I’ve been a paying customer at this Starbucks location before and it’s nice to know whether I’m spending hard earned cash on overpriced coffee drinks or not, they will still treat me with the same amount of courtesy and respect. Unlike the Subway next door who refused to give me change for the meter unless I bought something.

Again — this Starbucks is located inside the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Hit this Starbucks several times this week — been a year since I’ve been to this Starbucks — had several Grande coffees(with room for cream), and a triple shot Pumpkin spice latte — which was very creamy and delicious! The ladies working the counter were very friendly and outgoing. They had some sort of Caribbean music playing — and the Barista making my latte was singing to the music — she was a really good singer — she sounded like she was the artist in the song!

Two stars because most of the baristas seem to be nice folks, and because they apparently follow the corporate recipes fairly well for their drinks. Zero stars for the barista who yells at everyone to get their drink order — seriously, like to 15 people back in line, she will shout to get their drink order. Which by the way then means you need to shout your drink order over the heads of people standing in line in front of you. Okay, call me crazy, but that does not sound like the corporate recipe for customer service, and while I like the convenience of having a starbucks on my way to the tradeshow, I prefer not shouting my order.(Yet, I did. Three days in a row.) Turns out she got 3 of the orders one day wrong anyway. Seems there are a few flaws to her system.
