I’m not a regular Starbucks customer and never understood the fuss people made over this place, especially since I don’t drink coffee. I spent a few days in Washington, D.C. and apart from Seattle, they seem to be Starbucks central. One on every corner and in each hotel on «the hill». Since I was forced to use them, I’ve fallen in love with the chai tea latte, their double smoked bacon sandwich and chocolate crossiant.

This Starbucks has some(limited) seating and, unfortunately, no power outlets that I could discern. Service was alright and the croissant I ordered was fresh enough. Nothing to set it apart from other Starbucks locations. They’re decently stocked and very conveniently located in DC’s city center. I’d certainly go back again.

Very friendly staff but they don’t always get drunk orders right so be sure to double check your drink before you go!

Starbucks at convention center is usually small and a fix for Starbucks junkie. I’m glad it’s here and like I’ve expected its pretty crowded. Oh well, better than being late going else where looking for a store. Thanks.

The Convention Center Starbucks is the WORST Starbucks i have ever been in. Probably the worst coffee shop. I was warned about it by others in the convention but the coffee shop across the street was closed today so I decided to try it. Well to start off, they yelled out to the line they weren’t accepting credit cards. ¼ of the people left. But the line was still long. Then when I ordered a coffee, black I gave them a $ 5, got $.41 in change and she started taking the next persons order. I asked her where my $ 2 was. «Either take change or wait till I get some ones» was the response. No I’m sorry, my mistake. About that time a person with cash for the register came up. After the swap, I got my change AFTER I showed her my receipt and asked again. Still gets worse– after the next 4 got their drinks I asked the barrister could I get my coffee «I don’t do coffee, tell them». So i stepped one step to the left and asked. I was the 3rd to get it. At least it was hot.

This Starbucks is located in the lobby of the Renaissance Hotel, which at the time I was visiting, had the following seating configuration 6x 24″ 2-person circular tables 1x 4×3′ table, for 4-persons 3x Single Person Lounging Chairs There are tables outside that faces towards the courtyard By the walls, there is some electric outlets, perfect for taking over a table and setting up shop to punch out emails, and do some work. Although, it’s not good for long term work, as I started to experience discomfort with the chair after only sixty minutes. The chairs don’t have any cushioning, nor back support. It is insanely busy during the morning hours — around 0700 – 1000, the line will wrap around the front displays, and can typically take about 5 – 10 minutes before your order can be submitted for processing. Given the heavy workload during a tradeshow — their service was excellent. Hours are reasonable as well, 0600 – 1800. All-in-all, not a bad Starbucks, a good spot to get your fix.
