Decent enough Starbucks, but I’ll go ahead and give it the 4th star because it has some really comfortable seating areas. The fact that it’s on the GU campus but still takes Starbucks card is a perk that isn’t at other franchise locations, especially the nested ones.

Okay, the only reason I am giving this starbucks 2 stars is because there are 2 employees there that are actually attentive. All of the other ones have the worst work ethic I have seen in a customer service job. Today when I placed my order the person at the register didn’t ask who was next or say anything to me, she just stared. Then when I start telling her what I would like she interrupts me and talks to some other employees just standing behind her(even worse she was just talking about personal things, nothing to do with work). Then she turns and just start at me again, and very rudely states«okay.and,» so I continue and tell her the size and such that I would like. Afterward, I notice only one person making drinks with a line of customers reaching the door. I wait the longest I have ever waited for a refresher drink, which is pretty much just syrup, berries, and water. Even the person next to me initiates a conversation on how horrible the service is there and how they need different and new employees.

I have been here multiple times, when it’s busy and when it’s dead… this morning there was no line yet it took them about ten minutes to fill my order of chai tea and a breakfast sandwich. I also ordered a cold drink with light ice, received cup ¾ full with ice… arrgghh. Not sure what’s up with that, I couldn’t figure it out. I pick this Starbucks for its location to my work and their fast service. Maybe the staff still«having a case of the Mondays»…

Hi everyone, Okay I’m gonna be a bit real with Starbucks, why bc I’ve always love SB but today I decided i’m gonna finally give you 1 star or maybe even a «0» but bc I need some caffeine this morning I said 1, fair enough. I don’t think it’s for ever SB station but I am very very unhappy w this location specially. I’m not just speaking for my self but I really think this place need more employees and new management ASAP!!!. I have noticed a lot of changes, I know prices have to increase sometimes but I believe most of there products are changing also. I can speak more about the multigrain bagel and cream cheese. It just taste different, that I know for sure bc it’s my routine breakfast«everyday“when I was in NC… I know my food :) I’ll still be parking my car and my food is ready go when I walk in… I really feel bad for the employees I don’t know they can stand working there. SB is suppose to be a fun place to work, i don’t see any smiling barista, as a matter of fact I don’t see any eye contact at all sad to say, huh… Please please SB work on this simple things… Please have your coffee ready so we don’t need to wait for it to brew, we need to get to work… I don’t want to find another spot to get my coffee, plus it’s raining today and I just didn’t feel like walking out… You know I come every morning and some of your employees knows my tall pike coffee and fr time to time I get my bagel when I feel like it’s ok to get fat that day… I only ask for simple things… Can your SHOP handle that? I hope so. Thanks for all your employees and they work so hard, I wish they get more help… Sincerely, graci.

This rating is based primarily on the quality of coffee. I only drink sweet coffee and therefore order grande hot white mochas when i need to get through a long afternoon or study session. I have purchased a white mocha from this location four times so far and each time I have been throughly impressed with their white mochas. Its not too sweet, not too bitter, no acideybite to it. It is just right! Its not too hot either. Now Dr. Mug in comparison is bitter, scaldingly hot and just not enjoyable at all! The line can be long, but in my experience it goes relatively quickly with the baristas starting your order before you pay for it. The employees arent«friendly» but they do their job and my coffee comes out right, which is what matters most to me. As the only Starbucks at Georgetown University, they have my business.

This Starbucks is always busy between students, hotel guests, and hospital staff, but they manage to keep the process efficient so you’ll make your way through as best as you can with a long line. It has a more casual décor and feel than other Starbucks, which I think is because of it being on Georgetown’s campus. I like the chalkboard walls that study groups can utilize. The reason I don’t always come here is that the student run coffee shop is located in the same building, and I’d rather support them.

This is not a corporate store and it shows in the attitude(poor) and work ethic(almost nil) of the staff. If I had another option I would never go here.

Often catch coffee here while waiting on my wife. Service is slow and I’ve observed countless orders that aren’t quite right.

If nothing but a Starbucks will do, then this is your only option on the Georgetown Campus. As the only Starbucks serving the undergraduate campus, the medical campus, and GU Hospital, it’s usually quite busy here. First thing in the morning and the lunch rush are especially bad times to stop in, as the line can actually be out the door. The employees do the best they can to handle the line in a reasonable amount of time, but even with their best efforts, it can take awhile to get in and out. Don’t stop in unless it’s an off-peak time or you’ve got time to spare. They don’t have the little electronic things that scan your card from the Starbucks app on your phone, so be prepared to read the numbers out to the employee at the register(adding time onto your visit, and everyone else’s too). With that being said, anything I’ve ever had to eat or drink here has been great. I just don’t usually have the time to wait for service here.

They seem to always be really busy, but have a really good system going on to move people through the line. Even with a giant line it still on took around 10 minutes to get through. Good donuts, pumpkin bread, and vanilla bean. Iced tea was really strong though.

It’s a pretty standard Starbucks… located in the Leavey Center at Georgetown University, expect to find students, staff, medical staff/patients & families making frequent visits here. That being said, the lines can reach the doors and the waits can be long. Not the best place to come if you’re in a rush, that’s for sure. Even when there isn’t a long line, sometimes the wait is still long. I’m not quite sure why. The staff aren’t necessarily mean or rude or aggressive, but sometimes they just have a passive attitude… like they really could care less about what they’re doing. In terms of the actual drinks they make, consistency can fluctuate so much I’m never sure what I’ll meet with. However, the one thing that lets me keep it as a 2 star is the location and their selection of pastries/sandwiches, food, snacks, etc. I’ve wondered why I still come here, but it’s the only Starbucks near work and well, it’s better than some of the other coffee options closer to me.

Again with a starbucks review :) This one is okay. It is crazy busy, but what else would you expect for a starbucks located between the undergraduate campus, medical campus, and hospital? Lines are almost always out the door, and the hours are way too short for a caffeine-addicted med student!

I don’t usually review chains. This is an exception: I have not been to every SBUX in the US, but I am confident that this one is the worst. If Schultz ever visited, his head would explode. The service is terrible. The employees aren’t rule, but they are truly incompetent. One high employee from a New York location could outperform an entire team of these hacks. The other nearby options also stink. If you really need coffee, UCG is probably the best bet.

Yikes, if it weren’t for the convenient location and general(lacklustre) consistency, this Starbucks would definitely been closer to a 1-star rating. Located in the Leavey Center at Georgetown University, it’s pretty much the only alternative to Corp owned coffee shops on campus. Its location is pretty convenient once you know where it is, otherwise it’s almost impossible to find if you’re unfamiliar with the layout of the building(it’s tucked between the food court and Georgetown Hotel). The drinks here are decent but aren’t as well made as the Starbucks’ in Northern Virginia or even down on M St; imagine the flavour knob was turned down a few notches and you have the general idea. It’s also more expensive than most Starbucks’ I’ve been to which would make my marketing professor cringe with the«less-for-more» thing they’re pulling here. While the drinks are okay, the main problem I have is with the miserable service and speed at this location. To say it’s slow is an understatement. God save you if you come between classes or when there is even a small line. I’ve waited 15 minutes for an iced coffee which is absolutely ridiculous and even longer for a Frap. The staff is occasionally helpful but in general they seem very indifferent and aloof to their jobs and world around them. Today I saw two employees just sitting around and texting on their phones while one employee behind the counter had to wholly care for a growing line of people. Even after looking up and seeing the growing line, did the other two bother to help? Nope. I felt bad for the guy behind the counter. In addition to the general lack of service, I’ve also seen flies in the pastry display case which means I’ll have to say adieu to my beloved pumpkin bread here. On the positive side, the space is nice enough — there are plenty of tables and chairs. Overall, it’s sad that the only convenient Starbucks at Georgetown would be a disappointing one. If you want good coffee and don’t mind walking a little, go to Saxby’s right outside the front gates of the university.
