The manager is great and they make the best Subway sandwiches in the district.

Subway’s food is pretty much consistent across the board not to mention it really depends on your taste in customizing a sandwich. This location is only a couple blocks from my place so it’s my first thought when I need a quick bite that’s filling. Seems like there’s a new staff: they smile more and communicate better. What sucks is that the knife is always cleaned right before cutting my sub. Doesn’t sand like a big deal until I’ve had parts of other sandwiches on my sub.

This location is close to the Navy Yard metro station and an ideal place to get a $ 5 footlong before heading to a Nats game(yes, you can bring it inside) rather than eating overpriced, mediocre ballpark food. This place is fast and friendly with the usual Subway food options, so I’m here regularly before Nats games.

I can’t believe this place is still in business. Went there for a footlong sandwich. There were flies roaming around and landing on the meat and various vegetables. The gloves he was wearing were torn and dirty. The cutting table looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for days. I asked the one who was about to prepare the sandwich about the flies and he said not to worry about it, it is a common thing. Excuse me? Common thing? I asked for the manager and he got all upset and asked me to leave. What? Never going here again.

Typical subway but I really love their $ 5 Footlong of the month. chicken chipotle. Know what you want and the toppings beforehand and you are good to go.

Consistent for Subway, but the sandwich makers were quite pushy as they tried to get us to yell our orders across the restaurant!

When I came in here the manager had a cordless phone clipped to his shirt, a blue tooth in his ear, and he was working the cash register yelling and not listening because he was trying to multitask. In another(and last) incident we watched him try to hurry customers along and cut his hand with a knife while making a sandwich. Instead of changing gloves and cleaning it up he continued to make the sandwich and move on to the next one. I wasn’t aware that bodily fluids and contamination was part of the $ 5 menu — not thank you

Oh what the hell… I’ve turned into a fan… …not because I love the monthly $ 5 foot-long deals, …not because I can have half for breakfast, the other half for lunch, …not because I get a free 6″ sub when reloading my subway card with $ 25 …not because it’s conveniently located on my way to work, …and not even because I’ve already lost 10 lbs on the Jared Fogel diet, …but because the sweet lady that works there in the morning ALWAYS greets me with a smile. Here’s some tips. — avoid the peak hours(i.e.- noon time) — smile, they’ll probably return one as well and if it ain’t busy, make a little small talk, it’ll break the monotony.

This subway is mediocre at best. The lady working the cash register seems to often be fussing with customers over something small, holding up the line with lengthy exchanges over a request for extra napkins, the correct drink size etc. The location is what is keeping these guys busy, not the quality or value.

Welcome to the Un-Safeway. Parking is very convenient– they have a garage underneath– you get a ticket and they they validate at the register if you pay $ 8 or more. So– the store itself– it’s new, it’s wonderful, convenient to use. The people. however. not the easiest to deal with– wide range of annoying and strange things will happen to you. at the Un-Safeway! :-)

I gotta give this place some props. Yes this place is a mad house at lunch, but they get you through the line quickly. Even if you think it will take forever they move very efficiently. Just make sure you know what you want when it is your turn.
