This Subway is garbage. The staff does not listen and they hardly put anything on the sandwiches. They are very stingy. They also double charged my card for the same visit. do yourself a favor and visit a different location.

Very clean! They seem to be doing a good job here of keeping it clean. Service was fine and food was as expected.

Worst Subway location I have ever been. Employees do not understand and they are slow. In addition, you get one slice of everything… if I want to eat straight bread I could go to Giant and buy me one. My review is based on more than just one visit. Not going back.

Running a successful Subway should be pretty easy. You just need to exhibit the minimum level of competency and customer service, and I am thrilled. Sadly, most Subways fail to do so… but this one looks like a winner. Here’s why: 1. I asked to sub salami for ham on my $ 5 subway club, and they agreed no problem.(Too often, I try to do customization like this, and get a response like I just asked the«sandwich artist» if he’d mind growing a third arm). 2. There were a few people in line, but there were two employees working and they made a strong effort to expedite the process. 3. Though it was 8PM, they were not out of all ingredients. It was simple enough, but for exceeding the low bar of other establishments in town, this is a 4 star Subway.

I have been to this subway a couple times now and it is head and shoulders above the subway in Adams Morgan which still makes it average at best. Overall the service and food is good, but every time I go there they seem to be out of one thing. Fortunately for me it has always been just one thing, either the bread or a certain meat or a certain vegetable. Luckily, I am not so set in my ways that one change really affects my meal. Their was one thing that did annoy me about this location a couple of months ago. I went in and got the subway melt, but they were out of bacon(I cried a little on the inside when they told me). I decided to still go with the same sub, but when I got to the vegetables I asked if I could have some avocado since they were out of bacon. The guy acted like I was trying to pull a fast one on him«no, no, no, avocado is more expensive than bacon.» I wasn’t in the mood to haggle over vegetables on my sandwich so I let it go. When I was checking out I took a look at the menu to see how much more avocados cost to add to a sandwich than bacon. It was TENCENTS more expensive! Definitely not a big deal, but it would of been much more reasonable if they allowed me to sub bacon for avocado since they were out of it or they could have said I needed to pay the ten cent difference, gasp. All in all I haven’t had any big negative experiences here, but also nothing positive. Normal Subway food with average customer service.

If you’re a Subway regular like moi, you’ll find this location satisfactory and quick. The service isn’t lazy or slow, but it is awkward, do in large part I believe to the multiethnic neighborhood: they’re used to breaking their communication down into single-word sentences accompanied by gestures. To Subway, I suggest hiring someone with excellent English and interpersonal skills to work the register. The space is very small, but I’ve always seen at least one empty table. I’ve eaten here many times since July 2011 and have not had food poisoning or seen any food safety red flags.

It’s a shame this is my first review. But it had to be written. I’ve been to this location before, and had passable subs. But this past wednesday I was served a sub from hell. It went down easy enough, a footlong BMT on Italian bread, but a few hours later I felt not quite myself. Convinced that it was just something minor, I went to hang out with some people at a local bar. Only an hour or so passed, before I realized something was horrifically wrong. Closing out my tab after one beer, and leaving that beer on the bar nearly untouched, I gingerly made my way home — just thinking I was coming down with some kind of cold. Fast forward, 1:30am. Lunging out of bed, to the bathroom. Nearly didn’t make it. Very noisy and horrible things ensued. Woke up a few more times on the hour, and did a repeat. Dragged myself into work later, which is at a local establishment. One of the bartenders asked me why I looked unwell, I told him the details and learned — lo and behold — he’s had a bad sub from this location too! So, in brief, my review is — you’re playing russian roulette by getting subs here. There are many other locations and places to get a sandwich. At least you won’t have to worry about power-washing your bathroom from both orifices if you do eat elsewhere. You’re better off plucking a half-eaten sandwich from the garbage than going here, at least you’ll have the satisfaction of not having paid anything for it.
