I generally like Subway, but this was disappointing. The two girls making the subs were not happy to be working there, at least pretend, you’re getting paid. The girl making my sub put the least amount of condiments I have ever seen, maybe she thought I should be on diet. From the get go they have a sign advertising soup and sandwich special, asked for that, «oh that expired,» ok take the sign down or honor it! I wasn’t mad yet. Asked for the honey oat bread, «ran out,» Italian herb and cheese, «ran out». What do u guys actually have?! Never mind, I don’t expect this location to be open much longer, unless they fix their many flaws, and stop false advertising.

Really a subpar Subway. They are constantly out of bread, and the employees make it clear that they would rather not be making a sandwich. While the meat is standard, the veggies do not taste fresh. The staff tends to ignore requests to alter sandwiches when mistakes are made. On top of that the sandwiches are more expensive than a standard Subway. I would suggest going across the street to Potbelly.

Typical subway. Good in a hurry but nothing special. This location is small, not the best to eat there. They also run out of ingredients more than most, especially bread.

I’ve been here several times for lunch since it’s close to my school and never had any issues. The servers were never rude, although it does get busy during lunch time. If you want extra of something don’t be afraid to ask! Overall it’s one of the better options in the van ness neighborhood to eat at except the phở place and I haven’t been to the new Indian place(but stay away from the other Chinese places they are gross!). It’s subway, it’s consistently good.

Absolutely horrible experience. They were very cheap with the toppings, i only got one slice of cheese, very few tomatoes and onions, and when I asked for more, the lady gave me attitude. When I finally bit into my sub, the bread was so stale I couldn’t even chew it properly. I had to ask for new bread for it to even be edible. On top of everything, the employees were very rude, and I will never be back again.

I finally decided to give up on this place, and looking at the lack of lunchtime patrons I guess I’m not alone. It’s currently December and Subway has a special on foot-long Meatball and Coldcut subs for $ 4. I went in twice this month and both times they tried to rip me off, charging me the full price for these subs. When I called the cashier out(BTW, the«special» prices were clearly on the display), all I got was a hasty correction and no eye contact. Clearly, this place trying to run some kind of scam and hoping they won’t get caught. It might work on tourists but not the locals.

I live right next to these guys and always go eat there after my workout. I probably spend more than $ 100 a month on subs there. The staff obviously knows me and I am always polite to them. I was with a friend and she needed change for a 20, so I ask the cash register guy and he tells me that he can’t open the register unless I buy anything. I’m like«are you serious? How do you close out the register then?» I am so nice to them and constantly give them my business and this guy can’t give me change for a $ 20??? He is that cheap??? Actually, he’s not cheap, he’s just being straight up evil for no reason. Sadly, I’d like to say that I’ll never go back but its right next to me so that’s obviously not gonna happen. Oh well, karma will one day pay it forward to that guy. I hope he has a wonderful sad life working at subway.

The non-$ 5 footlongs are scaled for DC pricing. It feels like only one of the employees knows what he’s doing. My coworker complains that the chick shortchanges him on cheese. The skew of some of the slicing ends up yielding 1⁄3&2⁄3 portions. Some days the chip rack won’t be stocked with multiple flavors. Even getting my sandwich toasted ends up being a trial. The non-$ 5 footlongs are scaled for DC pricing. At some point I just give up and shell out extra at the other sandwich franchises on the block for some effing consistency.

Same old Subway food, with the addition of an interesting relish that looked green and red pepper-ish, great taste. Nice and clean, and but the woman behind the counter was brusque + and disultory, lousy attitude. The ‘hood deserves better. Enjoy!

I asked for a toasted sandwich and somehow it dropped in temp. But it was lunchtime and it was busy, so I understand. Usually I can get a good subway sandwich here. Just next time, toast my buns.

I haven’t eaten at a Subway in years. There was a Subway on AU’s campus and it wasn’t terrible or anything, but the smell of Subway while walking through the tunnel or by the gym just made me feel ill so I wasn’t able to go to one for awhile. Subway wouldn’t have been my first choice for our food break, but my roomie’s parents wanted to come here. I wasn’t going to argue — they were offering to pay and I was really hungry and tired from moving. I got the chicken/bacon/ranch with a little bit of lettuce on their roasted garlic bread. Mmm. Garlic. Thinking back, I’m wondering if the sandwich tasted so good because I was starving at that point or if it was just really that good. Well anyway, at that moment in time, it was very satisfying and I’d probably get another one.
