For starters, I want to explain why I only gave 4 stars. Reason being is it isn’t a 4 or 5 star shop as far as appearance but HONEY, let me tell you. Miss Tammy has a way with her speed and accuracy. On top of the fact that I can get in and out(with an appointment) in 45 minutes without being mishandled or nicked, your nails end up looking fab. Lastly, I know this may sound odd, but my hands feel as gentle and as light as her touch. Lol you won’t be disappointed. And if you are… you never read this post. It was all an illusion. :) I forgot to mention that my service was a fill in and gel polish.

Love this place. Tammy does my nails, toes and brow waxing every 2 weeks like clockwork. She always shapes my brows perfectly, never burns me. I have naturally long nails and get an acrylic overlay. She does it exactly how i like it and will correct any concerns immediately. Will be so sad to leave her when i move out of town in a few months.

Meh… I read the reviews expecting better when I walked in. I needed a mani and figured you can’t really mess that up… She rushed all the way through it. She was so concerned with offering me a pedicure that it was getting annoying. She was very pleasant but the place could use a pick me up.

They definitely did a great job and are friendlier than other nail saloons I’ve been to. The place could be a lot cleaner though and the staff could give their conversations on a little more quieter level.

One of the most awesome manicure and pedicures I’ve had and I’ve had a few. They worked hard on feet that have been too busy running to be pampered and hands that had been butchered at another shop two weeks before. I might have gotten lucky and got the owner, but my two friends are also happy with their work. Give them a try.

After being advised of a 45 minute wait for a manicure in the West End, I drove over to H Street because my dinner plans were there. I noticed at least three nail salons on this convivial street, but Super Nail was the first one I saw after parking and there was only a 10 minute wait, which was acceptable. The salon is definitely an old-school nail salon. It reeks of chemicals used for applying acrylics/gels/silks and the technicians wear masks. There are about 6 folding chairs, making for a cramped waiting area in this tiny place. The color options are awful – minimal OPI and Essie. And it’s completely overpriced at $ 17 for a manicure. But, they did a good job. I was a bit hard on my nails and feel that my manicure still looked presentable for at least 5 days, so that’s notable. The techs are friendly. I think where Super Nail excels is acrylics/gels/silks and at design. They offer a panoply of designs – I was impressed. I noticed the finished product on a few clients and it looked awesome. If that’s your thing, I’d say go here.

I can’t speak on waxing. I’ve gotten fills and pedicures there, and I’ve been happy with their work. Both my toes and hands looked good for over two weeks. I’ve been back twice since and have found that the guy does the best job.

DONOTGOHERE. My skin was literally ripped off during a waxing and they have no idea what they are doing. Wrong techniques. I should’ve seen the red flag when I walked in and the first sign I read was«No refunds after waxing»!

Basically, my bitten down stubby nails needed HALP. So, I on a Sunday afternoon, I walked into the first nail salon I could find on H Street and the winner was Super Nails. I never spend more than $ 25 on a full set and I was not about to start now. They are $ 19.99 for regular length which to me is even too long. I asked for a french manicure which I believe is more, but I would not know since he didn’t give me one. They do not use the french tips so my assumption is that they paint them on. Again, would not know. I ended up just having them painted clear. The acrylic lasts long and even after two weeks, I could have waited a few more days because it didn’t melt away completely. I ended up going back for a fill and decided to get nail color on them this time. The nail polish wore off after a few days. They do not use the«good kind» like Essie, so I should not be surprised. I can’t help but still yearn for french tips though. I don’t care for nail color or designs or anything like that. I now go to Lady’s Nails for my french manicured tips. I also get my eyebrows waxed here $ 10 and they do a great job. The wax they use is not sticky and doesn’t irritate the skin. It’s a painless process and even after several months of not having my brows done, I felt no pain and they gave me a perfect arch. I was pleased and now use them regularly for that. Overall, not a bad place to get a full set done. They are fast and accept credit cards.
