We sent a coworker to the business to pick up our order. The cashier didn’t give our representative her $ 5.00. We only come to your establishment every week and spend more than 100.00 a week. We will never do business again, when she could have simply counted the register to see her error. #BadCustomerService No Stars!!!

My co-workers and I order from them often. To be honest, it can be hit or miss with the taste, One day you order from them and the food tastes really great. You can order from them another time and it just didn’t hit the spot. I usually order the chicken wings and fried rice, tuna sub and fries, or shrimp and mixed vegetables. The chicken wings with mambo sauce are really good from this place. One co-worker usually orders the steak and cheese and another co-worker orders the general tso chicken. For the most, its good and it satisfies your taste. The delivery driver is extremely nice as well. I make sure I always give him a tip.

I haven’t even opened the bag of food yet but I will never order from here again because the driver demanded that I come to his car to get my food. If I wanted to come get my food from you I would have driven there and gotten carry-out.

So… The chef doesn’t wear gloves, which isn’t an issue on it’s own. But the last time I went in I saw him whipe his nose twice with his right hand and then use that same hand to touch veggies, salt, pepper, and perhaps some meat. I have eaten the food once before this, but couldn’t after I saw that. No washing, no gloves to take off(which is not a viable substitute). I wonder what happens when he uses the bathroom. Sorry, I cannot eat here anymore.

Literally after driving around NEDC looking for a carry out that serves a turkey burger, Major’s came through(the last of four — not Yum’s on Fl. ave., Eddies, or that other one on Mt. Olivet. Does it show I love my family? Not only did they carry the non beef burger, but there was not the typical«i don’t give a f@@@ you are spending your money here» attitude from the young lady behind the plexiglass; I got customer service that was actually pleasant. And because I ordered over $ 25 of food, I received a free pint of shrimp fried rice. I only ate the wings, which were tasty and were fried well.

I’m giving Majors 4 stars for what it is… a hood carryout. I can vouch for the wings and mumbo(sweet and spicy), shrimp fried rice and the fish sandwich. Delivery is pretty fast(and free) and the food is hot upon arrival.

The chicken teriyaki and the fried dumplings are good, but the service is awful. They always forget a part of my order and the drivers won’t get out of their cars. Or – if they do – they act like getting out of the car is the biggest inconvenience. Ridiculous.

I asked for my fried rice separately from my shrimp, it did not come that way. the 21 count basket of shrimp only came with 18. The dumplings came with no dipping sauce and the coleslaw is liquid. Wtf?

I’ve been living in DC for three years and it has taken me this long to find GOOD Chinese delivery. It came within 30 minutes and was still deliciously hot. I love crab rangoons and these are simply delicious.

Ordered delivery with my coworker today for lunch and the general tso chicken was surprisingly good(much better then expected). After having bad chinese american food in DC from multiple places, my expectations are pretty low. They have a great prices for lunch and free delivery after $ 10. Overall, I will definitely order from them again and try their other stuff.

We ordered takeout. We chose here because the Unilocal reviewers rated this place a bit higher than the other asian restaurant we were looking at. We were lucky to have our food within the suggested time frame and we ordered during rush hour/dinner time too! The food was pretty good! We had the sweet and sour pork. The pork and sauce were separate so you had to dunk them like chicken nuggets(no biggie). The General Tso’s pork was awesome! It had a spicy duck sauce! Yummm. The better of the three dishes we ordered. They garnished it with a few florets of broccoli which were nice in the dish but didn’t look very fresh. We ate them anyway! =D We also ordered the broccoli and string beans. The broccoli in this dish was good but the string beans were a bit tough. It could have been overcooked or old. Not a really big fan of this one. All the dished we ordered came along with rice so we didn’t have to buy more rice!!! Also!!! They only take cash for delivery! I might have missed it on the menu but I was prepared anyway. :)

I found hair in my food. And not just a single hair, several very long hairs. It was disgusting! And then when I called to complain, they said they would only give me a 10% refund and offered me 10% off my next order. I will never be ordering from there again. Gross!

I just received my first order from Major’s. I had never ordered from them before, yet when the driver pulled up he came out of the car yelling at me about how I «tipped him 50 cents last time». The best part is– I don’t even live in the area, I was babysitting. I instinctively offered to tip him more but he kept yelling about the tip from«last time». You are better off spending your money elsewhere. Oh, and the food was mediocre.

Sorry about the blurry photo but I was hungry and couldn’t wait to dig in. This food smelled amazing! This is the local ghetto Chinese food and subs places on H Street. The store comes complete with bulletproof windows where you can place your order in style and no seating. The walls are plastered with menus and then handwritten signs with different food prices for the same meals and combos. I had a slight clue about what my order would cost, but I wasn’t even sure. I was in the mood for pepper steak and fried rice so that’s what I got. I ended up paying $ 7.35 or something like that. It came with an egg roll too. The food came out fast and hot. I was impressed with the portion size, but the beef was definitely some form of mystery meat. I mean it was good tasting mystery meat, but still a mystery. The fried rice was decent and tasted pretty damn good with the mambo sauce. BTW, a note on mambo sauce. it is essential to put on the rice. It adds a sweet kick to the entire dish. Anyway, this place is rough, as to be expected, but if you are in the mood for some greasy and somewhat tasty grub, Majors might be the spot for you.

Tasty food, local neighborhood dive with ‘flavor’ :) Still has the DC80s-style 1-inch plexiglass wall, no seating but decent indoor space to wait for your order. Steak-and-cheese lunch(6″) was a bit small, but flavors mixed well on grill. Fries were old skool Crinkle Cut, decent texture but lacking a bit in flavor. Co-worker said Shrimp Egg Foo Young was good, large serving. Egg roll was nothing special, had a lot of pepper in it though, which covered the blandness. Other coworker said the Kung Pao Chicken, while having good ingredients, was also bland.

I love egg foo young. My girlfriend loves beef fried rice and egg drop soup. So we recently tried this place. Egg foo young — 7 out of 10. Sauce isn’t bad, I’ve had better. The patties were good and filling. Beef fried rice — 6 out of 10. Beef looked a bit funny, but the rice looked good. Not bad. Egg drop soup — 1 out of 10. Something was definitely lacking and it didn’t have the typical syrupy, eggy flavor. Girlfriend won’t be getting egg drop soup here again. The immediate area this joint is located in is a bit rough. While my girlfriend was inside getting our food, this overweight dude in a wheelchair rolled up to someone smoking just to the right of the door, cussed him out, and hit him with a length of PVC pipe causing a bit of a bloodbath. The guy was driven away by a few others. I had my boxer with me outside so I didn’t feel threatened.

You probably came here because it was late at night, and you chose Major’s over Crown Fried Chicken(you’re a smart one, aren’t you? …). Major’s has a pretty substantial selection, but appears to focus on Chinese food standards and subs. I got some sub-par lo mein, but it appeared that the locals were all getting subs. I would consider coming back here, but I imagine it would only update my review to a 1. Right now at least there’s some mystery about the sandwiches that Major’s menu claims are the best in the area.
