After getting jerked around by the Sears/​Kenmore-​contracted technician (called from outside my house, mumbling questions about the model – details of which I had provided to Sears – and trying to justify bringing a 2^nd «helper» at 2x the diagnostic price) – I looked here and on Angie’s for recs for a decent appliance repair outfit.
Ben was responsive and quick. He came out the next day and quickly diagnosed the problem and said he had a replacement part in the truck. He was perfectly able to physically handle the stacked washer/​dryer unit, pulling it toward him and making the repair at the same time. Impressive. It was not a cheap visit, mind you ($ 200) but is probably in line with this sort of repair.

I called these guys to fix a refrigerator one morning, and by the afternoon he stopped by, looked at everything, and got the thing fixed. I used a coupon from Angie’s List to cover the $ 50 diagnosis fee, and I am very glad that I found this company.

I called on Tuesday and Ben (the genius repair man) came on Thursday. They were affordable and very nice. He was very knowledgeable with the washer and knew exactly how to fix it and fast. I would strongly recommend this company.

My fridge (Frigidaire Gallery series) had stopped cooling and based on the reviews I called Superior Appliance Services. They were able to give me an appointment the next day (5−7PM).
The following day the technician (can’t remember his name) called me at 5PM saying he’ll be there in 30 minutes. I couldn’t make it there on time so I asked him if he could delay it a little bit. He agreed to move it to 6PM, which was cool of him to do. When I got home he was in the hallway waiting outside my apartment.
I showed him the fridge and he got to work right away. He said it needed freon and that he would add it. If it worked, it would cost $ 224. If it didn’t work, it would cost $ 50 for his trip. After spending 30 minutes behind the fridge he told me it was working, but that it would take up to 12 hours for the fridge to cool.
He gave me the service ticket and I paid him — they take credit card. The technician is from Tunisia and since I was going there we talked a bit about the country. Nice guy. I checked the next day and the fridge was working! The company provides a 30-​day warranty.
I will call them for other appliance repairs.

Called Superior Appliance to fix my washer (blocked drain hose). They showed up between the scheduled hours and had it fixed within 30 minutes. Works perfectly fine now. Cost was reasonable too. Highly recommend to others.

¹⁰⁄₈ My fridge had another issue tonight (not related to the first) and I called Ben and he arrived within an hour (7 pm). He was able to correct the issue by installing a new simple part within 5 minutes. He didn’t even charge me for the appointment or the part since it was such a quick fix. I don’t know where else you get such quick service, well after business hours, at not only no extra charge but no charge at all. Ben really went above and beyond!
I can’t say enough good things! I’ve had plenty of not great to awful experiences in the past with people coming into my home to do work so please save yourself any headache and just call Ben if you need an appliance fixed! I’m so glad I did!

This review has a caveat. Ben wasn’t actually able to fix my issue, but it was my own fault. I had a problem with my dryer and Ben advised me over the phone that it was likely a vent issue. I didn’t believe him so he came out and then showed me what the issue was. He did charge a minimum fee for the visit, but it was less than the fee other companies charge. My only caveat would be maybe he should let people know that he doesn’t clean dryer vents out. I assumed that I could just pay him to do the work and when he came, he just referred me to another company.
In general, seems like a nice honest guy. He showed up on time, and no surprises, which is better than you can say about a lot of companies that do this sort of work.

A+ for Superior Appliance! I explained the trouble I was having and he knew what the problem was for my (Stove, Washer & Dryer). Ben assessed and repaired all appliances within the hour. Great service!

Good work done quickly and at a decent price. Had an oven broiler stop working. They identified and corrected the problem in two visits. Technician was friendly, things went smooth.

They got the job done.
The person who answered the phone and who came (I believe they are one in the same) was not even remotely friendly. Very curt, to the point of being borderline rude, and seemed like he had a chip on his shoulder.
But, at the end of the day, they showed up on time and got the job done, so I can’t fault them for that. I wouldn’t be tripping over my own legs in a hurry to call them back, but then again — with so many crummy repair people in the area — maybe I will.

Same company as «Superior Refridgeration Service whose website says that they service Samsung, but their barely intelligable phone rep says they don’t.

Good, prompt service. Service person came out the same day as called to fix our refrigerator. He quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to fix the leak right on the spot.

This is a terrible company. Horrible customer service and incompetent work. First, they scheduled a repair and never showed up. They kept my tenants waiting at the apartment all day. After that, I was planning to cancel their service, but to my surprise, they randomly showed up the following day without giving me any advance notice. At that point, I needed the repair done and assumed they would automatically charge me for the service call any ways so I went ahead with the garbage disposal repair.
The following week, the dishwasher wasn’t working. Based on my horrible experience with Superior Appliance I used another company. They discovered that when Superior Appliance installed the new garbage disposal, they didn’t remove the «knock-​out» plug to the dishwasher which was causing water to back-​up. So I had to spend another $ 130 for this other company to come and fix their incompetent mistake. It was a simple fix but demonstrates Superior’s poor technical skill. Extremely disappointed and would like to warn others to NOT use this company.

Superior Appliance Service & Owner Ben Saratt get an A+. They have been out on two separate occasions to deal with the same Fridge– Air washer that just doesn’t seem to like our family. Prior to the first time Ben came to do a service, he called and asked what the issues was, and what the error code the washer was showing. Next he asked for the maker of the washer, model number, and serial number. When Ben arrived he had a replacement part with him based of the error code from the washer. If the replacement part didn’t work and the washer needed to be replaced, we were only responsible to pay the service call fee of $ 50.00.
The second time the same washer refused to work for my family, I called Superior Appliance at 7:30pm on a Thursday night. The answering serviced picked up, and took my information. The next day I received a call from Ben, and he gave me an appointment for Saturday with a 4 hrs window. He said he would call 30 mins prior to make sure someone was home. Ben then asked what were the issues, and the error code the washer was showing. Next he asked for the maker of the washer, model number, and serial number.
On Saturday, Ben called 30 mins prior and he also was able to move the appointment up a few hours. He was able to fix our washer, within 45mins, and as a repeat customer Ben did not charge me an arm and a leg. I have recommend him to everyone I know, and will continue to do so

These guys were great. Our Jenn-​Air fridge has stopped cooling sometimes, so we had them come out to take a look. They were able to accommodate our schedule and come out on a Saturday. They were able to diagnosis the problem immediately and needed to order a part. A few days later they came back with the part and fixed the issue in about five minutes. They were friendly, on-​time, and the price seemed fair. I would definitely use them again!

Ben from Superior Appliance Services was fast, professional, and exceptionally courteous. The control circuit board on my refrigerator burned out, so I called and he arrived within a couple of hours, exactly when he said he would arrive. He diagnosed the problem based on my description over the phone and brought a replacement circuit board with him, so the whole repair was very quick. The total charge was $ 348, which is $ 22 cheaper than what another technician had quoted to me while warning me about others who may charge up to $ 500 for the same repair. I would call Ben again if I needed help with another appliance.

I ended up searching Unilocal for a Maytag Washer Repair service after Sears Home Repair left me very disappointed with 1) sending the wrong technician on ¹²⁄₂₉ and 2) a no show for their appointment on ¹²⁄₃₀. I came up with two businesses I was willing to try. Ben, the owner of Superior Appliance, was able to make it to my home the same day. Ben arrived on time, listened to our description of the issue we were having, and gave us his best guess of what was causing it. Sure enough when he started to work on the machine it was the very issue he suggested, something completely different and much less costly then the Sears Home Repair technician suggested. We ended up having to replace a part and Ben showed up the next day at the time he gave us, on New Year’s Eve, with the part to finish up the job.
I highly suggest Ben and Superior Appliance Services if you want someone who is skilled in their trade, friendly, dependable, and shows up on time.

Ok, Ben just saved Christmas, literally! My oven decided not to turn on, and I went into a panic as my landlord told me to call Sears and their 1^st appointment was the day AFTER Christmas! Not useful. Called Ben, he came the next day, was fixed in 10 minutes, and volia! Thank you!!!

THEY DO NOT DO BOSCH. I have a compact Bosch washer in a closet under a small Bosch dryer. I was charged (and I paid) a $ 50.00 diagnostic fee. I was told that the the computer of my washer was malfunctioning. The repair would cost $ 400. Ben recommended I see if I could get a new equivalent Bosch washer for a reasonable price. All I found were Bosch machines 3x the cost of the estimate he gave me for a repair. So, the next day, I contacted Ben to have him come out again to fix my washer.
Ben came to my home exactly a week from the day of the diagnostic. We took off the trim around one side of my closet door; nevertheless, the dryer continued to be difficult to remove off the top of my washer. The dryer was too heavy for Ben or it was too tightly wedged in my closet. It may have been a little of both. He couldn’t repair the washer without getting the dryer out. So he left. Now I have trim around my closet door that needs to be repaired.
A Bosch technician came to my home a few weeks later. I described to him the problem. He told me to change detergents. Eco-​friendly detergents do not work with Bosch machines because they make too many suds. He told me to get cheap detergent at the local grocery store. He was right. All I needed to do was change my detergent. He charged me $ 125 for his diagnostic. No repair was needed.
